Tidal/current action, wind, solar, and bio-mass. Our society is a cradle to cradle rather than a cradle to grave.

Majority is coal, with oil being the second biggest. A large dam project was started, but delayed, and heavily damaged in the civil war that gave birth to the country in its current form.

Mainly solar and water, but there are a couple of wind farms, as well.

1. Wavepower (Lots of it)
2. Windpower (Very close 2nd)
3. Coal (Slightly used in industry requiring independent energysource)

Percentage wise, they're all the same. In electricity amounts, antimatter tops it off with some gigawatts. :P

Just coal.
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

96 percent of West Podunk's electricity is generated by breeder nuclear reactors and about 4 percent by hydroelectric plants. {Try as our scientists might, they haven't yet succeeded in inventing solar power systems with sufficient energy conversion efficiency to make them cost effective; as you'd expect, their efforts are financed by the semiconductor and related industries [not the government].}

Mass transit and much of industry runs on electric power.

We use electrically produced hydrogen and fuel cells for passenger automobiles -- we've invented a closed cycle system that reuses the water produced by the fuel cells in a hydrogen producing electrolysis unit which the consumer keeps in his garage. This transfers the energy production requirements to the electricity grid, meaning the nuclear power plants. Refills are available at commercial high pressure filling stations for longer trips. Gasoline is not used as a motor fuel in West Podunk.

Meanwhile, commercial transportation [trucks] operates on compressed natural gas because the high load mass of such vehicles makes the heavy fuel cell/hydrogen tank/water recycling units used in automobiles too inefficient.

Use of diesel fuel is limited to shipping and other applications that simply aren't cost effective any other way and can not be connected to the electric grid.

Since we have ample reserves of uranium ores and natural gas, West Podunk is self-sufficient in energy production.
