The following is a list of symbols of the United Duchies of Fedeledland.
1. Official Flag
The Flag of Fedeledland was originally chosen in 1905 by the Dux of the time, Piero V (1880-1945). He changed it upon the previous national flag (now the royal flag). The white of the flag means the peace and tranquility of the Fedeledlandese populace. The blue means the wishes of peace and prosperity for Fedeledland, and the yellow is the historical, cultural, geographical, scientific, economic and military heritage. The standard represents the original nation from which Fedeledland comes from: that is, the Florentine Republic. It is colored yellow instead of red because the symbol is more to thank the historical heritage of the Republic than to reveal the ancestor of the nation.
2. Coat of Arms
The coat of arms was adopted in 1905 under Piero V, and the former coat of arms became the royal coat of arms. It has the same meaning of the official flag, as it was adopted with the flag to improve nationalistic feelings.
3. Civil Flag
The civil flag was the first flag of Fedeledland (1490-1540), after the unification of Italy but before the first colonies were established. During Piero V's reign, it was readopted as a flag for commerce and civilian messages. The flower and yellow mean the same as in the official flag. The read represents the Republic of Pisa, the Duchy of Milan and the Venetian Republic, while the black mean the Republic of Siena, the Republic of Lucca, the Kingdom of Naples and all other Italian states. It is also the current flag of Fedeledia
4. Royal Flag
The Royal flag (official flag from 1540 until 1905) is the official flag until Piero V's reforms in 1905. It symbolizes a united Europe (red), colonies (green), peace (white), and the royal Medici family (the blason).
5. Official Communiqué
If you recieve this symbol, it will most likely mean that there will be a diplomatic message from Fedeledland. It was created in 1972, when the coat of arms was not enough for the large amounts of diplomatic messages.
6. Motto
"Salve a il Dux e il Falco d'Oro" is the official motto of Fedeledland. It symbolizes Fedeledland's love for the Dux (leader of Fedeledland) and the Golden Hawk (the official animal of the United Duchies). It was adopted as early as in 1490, being the first symbol of Fedeledland still in use as it was originally meant to be.
7. National tree
the "Tabebuia ochracea" or Guayacán is the official tree of Fedeledland. It mostly grows in tropical regions: The exception to this is the Campi de' Lorenzo in Nuova Firenze, where they are planted along the way. It was chosen as the national tree due to it's beauty.
8. National flower
Only similar to the national tree of Fedeledland because of it being chosen by being pretty, the Catteya trianae, or Orchid of May. It's scientific name is chosen by Fedeledlandese Spaniard botanic José Jerónimo Triana. It s originally of tropical regions, but now it has spread to the rest of the Fedeledlandese Empire.
9. National Animal
The Golden Hawk, also named Golden Falcon, is the national animal of the United Duchies. It was chosen for it's majestic splendour when it flies in 1889, replacing the Royal Lion. It comes from Central Europe, but it now resides almost everywhere north of the Tropic of Cancer.
10. Official Anthem
Cielo Andaluz
Cielo Andaluz was only a popular pasodoble used in military marches and bull-fighting. However, all changed when Dux Lorenzo VII went to Granada to see a very rememberable bull-fighting tournament. He fell in love with it, so much, that as soon as he came back to Nuova Firenze he named it official instrumental anthem of Fedeledland.
11. Official Number
Fourty-two is the official number of Fedeledland ever since Lorenzo VII read the comedy book "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".
