With the exception of all previous and current applicants, The Commonwealth of Yasashii must announce the change of its embassy program from a open status to an invitation, previous interaction, and regional neighbour only status. All uninvited applications and/or applications made by unrecognized states and/or applications made by nations with no prior interactions with Yasashii will be rejected.
To the Sovereign Entities of the World,
On the Opening of Diplomatic Relations with the Commonwealth of Yasashii
After past failed attempts at opening Yasashii to the world via populist press conferences and joining ramshackle alliances, the government of the Commonwealth of Yasashii is now making a fresh attempt at integrating into the world community. Past administrations have been stalwarts of isolation, seeking closed borders and ports over understanding and cooperation. Development has stagnated and other nations have passed us by. Various National Directors have tried to open Yasashii to some degree, all with little success. The process has not been easy in the past, but this administration is committed - it is time to change our policy once and for all.
Little over a year ago, the National Board put its faith in me to fulfill the role of National Director. I am determined to increase Yasashii's international presence, albeit within certain circles. In other words, Yasashii seeks to remain close to nations it opens ties with. It is a matter of being a good neighbour - making friends in the neighbourhood so we need not fear for our security and others need not fear for theirs. A secretive, unpredictable neighbour is viewed with suspicion. An open and welcoming one is not, but is instead trusted and can count on good relations to back them up in times of worry.
Alas, the intent with which I broadcast this message is simple: I personally intend to establish the groundwork on which close ties can be formed. I invite the nations of the world to send their emissaries to our capital, Daiju, and we will reciprocate; do not hesitate to suggest state visits.
Good neighbours, good relations, good times. Any interested government should reply post-haste! I remain optimistic and certain that this will kick-start friendly relations.
Best Wishes,
Alexander "Akito" Bae,
National Director of the Commonwealth of Yasashii
