Ochry (pronounced /ˈɔkɐɾɪ/), officially known as Commonwealth of Ochry (Ochrian: Okari or Letonara Ţatąra Okaris) is a country that takes up most of the Timo-Ochrian Island, and which borders the Tesolion Sea, the South Ochry Sea, the Most Serene Republic of Liroko and the Grand Duchy of Zettish.

A constitutional republic, it is a federal state, with 22 provinces and two independent municipal districts that each have a degree of autonomy. Ochry is governed as a parliamentary republic, whose seat of government is located in Kaulųs, except at high summer, when national affairs are undertaken from the Northern city of Piriņi. Its Chancellor, since 2005, is the Honorable Emiļ Turonęs.

Ochry has been continually inhabited by Native Ochrians for thousands of years, and for most of its history, Ochry existed as a collection of disparate township territories that lived in isolation from each other. The turning point came in the mid-15th Century, when two of the biggest territories, Levaiaţ and Keraį, united under one crown in the face of Zettish aggression. As the union grew to encompass ever more of the Timo-Ochrian territory, the pre-existing system of a monarchy that ruled alongside a democratically appointed witengamot morphed into a federal republic over time, the principal factor being issues arising from the incorporation of Kihąs. Ochry was home to the world's first constitutional monarchy, has been considered a cultural influence, and has the distinction of being one of the few countries never to have been ruled undemocratically. A colonial superpower at its height, Ochry retains a few protectorates, most notably in polar regions.

Sparsely populated, and home to hundreds of forests and mountain ranges, much of the country remains relatively untouched by human development. Nonetheless, Modern Ochry is a burgeoning hub for immigration and a world-class centre of research, though it is a country that still lives by its unique national ideals.

Reform Party – Elįsa Norinera (parliamentary), Miko Onsįn (administrative)

Electoral system

Voting System:

Transferable vote: If a candidate gains 50% or more of the vote, s/he wins the seat. If no candidate reaches the threshold, the second choice votes of the lowest-ranking candidate are dispersed until one candidate has a majority.
The party with the plurality in parliament has first chance of creating a coalition, if no party gets an outright majority in seats. If they cannot form a government, it is up to the outgoing neutral Speaker of the House – who works as interim Chancellor – to help bring up a coalition for the vote.

Even if a party has the majority of the seats, the parliament can reject their choice for Chancellor and Cabinet members if it sees fit.

WA Category
Tends to be Scandinavian Liberal Paradise, but is also sometimes Democratic Socialists, Inoffensive Centrist Democracy, Liberal Democratic Socialists, Capitalist Paradise and others. The complexity of Ochrian politics leads to confusion at times.
