So after a little fiddling with perl scripts and researching different correlations between real world life expectancies and the economic strength, crime, privatization and healthcare funding in nations. I've devised a fairly messy looking formulae to express a nation's life expectancy using gameplay statistics. Some of these stats are available only on a nation's spotlight page, like your crime rate or your private sector's size. I won't be sharing the exact formulae or the script, mostly because it's nearly incomprehensible because of how many real world correlation coefficients it uses. If you wish for your nation's life expectancy to be calculated using this script, just post asking for a calculation, and I'll do them all as soon as I can.
Generally speaking, the following are indications of a high life expectancy using this calculator: large healthcare budget, small private sector, strong economic strength, many economic freedoms, the tertiary sector of your economy is dominated by your major industry, low crime rate and a low tax-rate.
Unlike NSeconomy, your political freedoms or your civil rights does not contribute to your Gross Domestic Product (because real world evidence suggests otherwise), and unlike NSdossier, your regional neighbors will not influence your Gross Domestic Product. (I actually think NSdossier's system of calculation is very elegant, but I'm trying to keep the GDP calculation very simple.)
UPDATE: Okay, so I was bored with the current output. I found the numbers were a little.. let's say.. moderate or conservative. So, in the spirit of NationStates, I put those initial numbers into the bumfuzzer and have altered the results to be a "NationStatesque" Life Expectancy, where anything goes!
UPDATE 2: I got curious about how the World Assembly is affecting these results, so you'll notice I've added those cute little WA badges () beside WA nations. You'll also notice the heavy skew of WA nations at the high end of the list.
