The Archian Sector

Travelers Era

The Travellers era started around 2021 AD The Archian people finally uniting under one banner after a bitter war between the Acol Initiative and the Confederate Republic, in the end the Confederate Republic won, and after some years of rebuilding immediately looked to the stars. The current President John Marcey Hamptom put trillions into the Space program that would take Archian people to the stars, the Moons of Illania had been visited some time ago, but people had yet to visit them again, this would soon change.

2022 saw the first settlers settle on the moons of Trill massive domed constructs lay in craters across both Moons Helios and Phoenix

Many years passed as the moons where developed and stations built to accommodate the next phase of what was now known as the Trill initiative, in 2027 the First ship capable of inter system travel was built, the ANV Illustrious. a massive 120 meter construct built in the orbit of Illania. Its mission was to explore the Planet of Haderon the second planet from the sun. It had long been known that the planet was a hot jungle planet with a thick but breathable atmosphere.

The Crew of the Illustrious where dubed the Travellers men and women who where taking up the 4 month expedition to the planet.When they finally arrived Illustrious parked its self in orbit, what they found was a planet still experiencing a Cretaceous period of evolution, dinosaurs roamed the thick lush jungles, as hundreds of animals and planets tried to survive on the beautiful world.

Upon returning back to Illania the Travellers stories spread like wild fire in every community. There was a call to colonise the planet and soon Several vessels of the now known Illustrious class where completed and modified to carry colonists to the planet. These New Travellers where pioneers given an Ill fate as soon as they made land fall they where beset by creatures killing off a good third of the colonists with in the first year. The Remainder collected in the fortified city of Fort Haderon hiding behind its massive walls they managed to survive through grit determination and supplies from the ships that came every 4 months.

The Expansion

The Expansion era began with the Successful terraformation of the Two moons of Illania the Moons where given an atmosphere over the course of several centuries turning them into something comparable to hot scrubby Savannah style planets. They instantly became popular places to live due to the freedom of being able to move around the moon with protective clothing.

2040 Brought about the Expansion ere for real With Haderon now Capable of protecting its self from the menaces of the planet the confederacy turned to the 6 moons that orbited the massive planet, as well as the planet Kressler. The now 12 strong fleet of Illustrious class Frigates where sent out once again to take colonists to distant planets.

2045 the Impulse drive was invented by a Doctor Marcus Cunningham, marking a new speed in steller travel. The Impulse drive allowed ships to travel from Illania to Haderon in a month.

The Confederates started to expand across the entire star system for the next hundred years countless moons where colonised and developed, it was seen as a golden age for the Confederacy and a golden age for space travel. On Kressler The Scientist Adrian Phillip Johnson discovered the Conductive properties of the Zelocite crystal over charging a small splinter of a crystal and having it explode with double the yield, thankfully Dr Johnson and his staff where not killed due to the blast proof workstation they used.

Energy Era

With the Discovery of the Zelocite crystal and its properties soon came an age of Unparalleled Energy creation, Soon after its discovery the Zelocitee crystal was harnessed in the first reactors in Illania, Producing an infinite amount of energy, Whilst the reactors where small to begin with and could only power very small areas the advantages where seen immediately.

The Zelocite Cyrstal when placed into a controlled situation was able to not only replenish its own energy reserves but double its output, with out exploding. This realisation made the Zelocite Crystal the most sought after commodity on record ever since the Gold Rushes of 1732. This brought a wave of Economic growth to the planet Kressler as mega corporations fought over the Finite deposits of Zelocite crystal. Soon Mega corporations took to Pirating Freighters of competition, this lead to the first and only Merchant war, a 2 year long war between several mega corporations over Kressler. the War was only Halted after the intervention from the newly formed Archian Space Navy.

The Secound Expansion

With the Zelocite crystal quickly becoming the staple power source for all colonies within the Trill system, scientists where able to put this new found power source to use in the fledgling space navy and Commercial designs. The Impulse drives efficiency was greatly improved with the Zelocite's cleaner and infinite power supply. Allowing The Already impressive speed of the Current ships and new ships to be increased, taking down travel times to Haderon and its moons from one months to little under two weeks.

This prompted the second expansion into the rest of the Trill system, nce again hundreds of thousands of colonists headed out colonising the many moons of the Gas giants Donovan and Goliath, Many writers of the time likened this to the masses of colonists colonising the great expanse of the Confederacy many hundreds of years ago.

For the first time Candaria was visited, the closest planet to the sun, was not as hot as expected the thin hydrogen atmosphere was observed to block out some of the suns harsh rays leaving the Planet a cratered rocky world with an equatorial area full of active volcanoes and rivers of Metal rich lava. 2201 Candaria was colonised not by colonists but by criminals, the planet was deemed by the confederacy, as a place these low lives and criminals could be put to use, many years before an installation was made to shelter the first bath of prisoners until they managed to dig under the surface. This took less time than expected as almost instantly the tunnelers broke into a catacomb of caves. It wasn't till later when more specialised sensors where available that it was realised that the entire Crust of the planet was riddled with catacombs.

Several years later, the Scientist Mathius Geller, Came up with a theorem that could potentially allow for faster than light travel, through a dimension or more specifically the space between dimensions known as the void. Through the use of Zelocite focusing theoretically a generator could be used to rip a hole into space time and take ships to this Void, where they would be able to open up another window to the specific co-ordinates.

In 2207 the first manned test was conducted the ANV Frontiers powered up the prototype Void drive and was sucked into the Void almost instantly. Reappearing in the exact same co-ordinates it had left an hour later, the Test was deemed a success and All Ships of the Archian Space Navy where quickly equipped with this new FTL drive.

Era of the Confederacy

With the Invention of the Void drive the Confederacy could travel to the stars with in no time at all, the only problem was the greater the distance from the entry point to the exit point in real space, the greater the energy required to open the rift to that sector in space. This prompted bigger and more powerful ships than the Confederacy currently had. So several years and considerable amounts of money where put into Building the ANV Explorer The first vessel capable or interstellar travel.

The system Ursa-Gamma was selected due it being the closest sun to the Trill system, its co-ordinates calculated. The entire of the Confederacy held its breath in anticipation, when the word came back that the Explorer had reached the system and it held a planet almost identicle Illania, the entire system went into celebration, soon after the Serenity and Atol systems where explored,and a few years after that colonised.

Whilst the Confederate modern era isnt known for the modern day Confederacy in all its glory, it is known for its accent to what is now the Modern confederacy. By the end of 2213 the Confederacy had colonised the Serenity, Atol, Ursa-gamma systems and had started moving people to the Magnus and Harvey Systems in an other quick succession of Colonisation programs.

The Archian Navy had grown and swelled to almost 1000 ships, used to protect the vulnerable systems from pirate attack and to Deter Aggressive Corporate show downs.

The Long 72 Hours

Although Called Post 72 Hour War era, this period of time started with the first contact with extra terrestrial life, The Kitsune Empire of Xiscapia. Whilst searching the ruins of an ancient civilization, long dead Admiral Kang came into contact with with a scout ship of the Kitsune Empire who had claimed the system in the name of the empire.

Kang Ignored, the warnings and continued the salvaging operations. Prompting a retaliatory response marking the Start of a brief but bloody war, that changed the confederacy's outlook on the universe.

Battles between the empire, broke out in several surrounding systems, with the Kitsune coming out on top in all but one of the battles. This stark realisation that the Confederacy was not the top dog in the galaxy forced them to initiate diplomatic contact and sign peace with the Empire. The Brief 72 hours in which this war was waged, is seen as something of a shameful thing in the confederacy and isn't talked about much.

The Split


Roughly 5 years after the 72 hours war, The Confederacy began to fall appart from within. With the stress of propping up an on going war within the Gamma quadrant and juggling porblems on the homefront. Many factions and systems began to slip out from under the Senates grasp. The Most notrious was the Military Uprising on Eramus, which resulted in a military juntas installing itself on the planet taking control of the world and the assests that where in space. The Massacre on the planet sparked the First Seperatist civil war within the Confederacy which saw many of the outer lying Confederate Systems joined with the New Eramus Republic embroiling the nation in a 5 year long bloody civil war that saw the confederacy brake up in several smaller factions.

Currently three major factions vye for power over what is now dubbed as the Archian Sector. The Illanian Republic, The Archiian Coalition and The New Eramus Republic

The Confederacy of the Arch Planets

The confederacy is a relatively new nation to the Intergalactic scene, recently becoming discontent with sitting in its own sector of space after its less than peaceful first encounter with the Kitsune Empire of Xiscapia. Looking to the stars to bother further the confederacy and spread Democracy to the Stars. The Confederacy of the Arch Planets (Archia), is an interstellar nation, spanning only 12 systems in the Alpha quadrant Bordering the Beta quadrant. Made up almost solely of Humans, the Confederacy of the Archia, is always eager to explore and take everything in there grasp. Its citizens are unique as most Archians can see the potential in almost everything. This outlook has allowed the Confederacy to advance technologically socially and economically at an extremely fast pace. With a keen aptitude for architecture and construction Archian Buildings stretch high up into the skies.

Run by a senatorial styled government, the Archia is headed by the Supreme Chancellor Marcus Hills, voted into office by the various senators and land owners that make up the Confederacy. Archians are some what liberal but the government tends to lean more to the conservative. Social standings can be blurred within the confederacy but it is seen as those that work are generally well off compared to those that make a living from the illegal, Many Sects and groups exist in the Arch Planets how ever the most prominent and well known is The Companions Guild a Guild of well educated well-educated and well-respected Courtesans/Entertainers. The Confederacy holds its Democratic values almost sacrilegiously, the people of the confederacy believe in the system even though it can be slow and beurocratic at the best of times.

Archians are what can be refereed to as the average human, over the centuries the Archian people have adapted to life on there home planet Illania, the average Archian male can stand anywhere between 6ft and 6ft 5' usually, the condition's on the planet of the Illania barely differ from a perfect M class planet, Archian citizens have adapted to there homes and no Archian is alike how ever there are some distinguishing features that distinguish each Archian and tell you what planet they have originally come from.

Archian Citizens that have come the home planet of Illania are usually tall and defined, Although life on Illania is easy the planet is virtually covered by sprawling metropolis's the citizens try to lead a proactive life. Even with the Diverse culture on Illania the Population is predominately Caucasian human.

Citizens than come from the secondary capitol and military world of Ursa - Gamma tend to be well build, as 20% of the worlds population serve in the military. The rest of the population follow suit mostly the planet another M Class planet how ever more arid than Illania its frequent dust storms have forced those who live on Ursa-Gamma to adapt, Giving them a tougher physique and skin, Gammians as they are known locally also tend to be more tanned than any other Archian due to the climate.

On the Farm World of Maguns Prime Archian citizens are some what different, archians born on Magnus Prime are some what shorter than the average archian but far more muscular Scientists have no figured out why this is so but they speculate that it could be several contributing factors in the water of Magnus Prime and the food they grow.

The TiiRan are an interesting Race of humanoids, Originally a Magnate Civilisation on one of the Moons orbiting the Gas giant Donovan, in the Trill system (Confederate Home system) The TiiRan have always had an over fascination with Technology, and had a wierd way of being able to make existing technology work better or more efficiently. After being incorporated into the Confederacy for that reason, Many TiiRan started to Augment them selves with simple Cybernetic implants giving them slight elevated strength and reflexes.

Others

The Confederacy, does not Really count the other 4% of its inhabitants as being citizens, unless they are from one of the highly regarded alliances the Confederacy has. How ever always keen to get the most of the population, the Confederacy allows this 4% to join the local Militia or other menial government run jobs, with the scheme giving citizenship out after 5 years of service.

Government and Official Organisations of the Arch Planets


The Confederacy of the Arch Planets government is a massive bureaucratic machine, serving 57 billion citizens around the confederacy and her colonies. Made up of several tiers, the highest is the office of the Supreme chancellor and his cabinet of senators that are seen as the figure heads of the confederacy for their 6 years terms in Office. Despite being the highest tier of the confederate government they still hold no real power over the Second. The Senate, made up of hundreds of individuals from each and every planet moon and asteroid colonised by the confederacy, and are the main governing body of the confederacy. The Supreme chancellor acts as a mediator and speaker to the Senate, in times of non crisis. His ministers simply perform there normal senatorial duties in this time also.

Senators are elected to office by popular vote of the public districts and planets they are running for and each and every Senator stays in for a 6 year term also. Whilst slow and constantly changing, it allows the senate to bring in fresh blood and new ideas, which have stopped The confederacy from stagnating time and Time again. The senate is seen as a open forum to some who do not understand the deep complexities, and rules. Whilst many a time it just looks like constant bickering and arguing to those who are not used to or have ever seen democracy at work, it is what many Archians accept to be common place, and accept it as it is. In times of crisis, for instance when war is on the borders of the Confederacy. The Supreme chancellor can enact the Emergency powers right, effectively allowing him and his cabinet to make decisions with out the Senate having to vote. Allowing the Confederacy to act quickly when the confederacy is under threat. This emergency right how ever is automatically stripped from the Supreme chancellor when The confederacy is no longer being threatened.

Outside the Senate there are several official branches that do not contribute to the over all law making with in the confederacy. They make up the divisions that deal with External and even lesser internal affairs on a public level and employ millions of public sector workers to run the multitude of branches that exist to serve the confederacy.

The Confederate Central Intelligence Agency, is a massive secretive branch of the government that operates from the shadows, Only answering to the Senate and the current cabinate member of Intelligence Affairs at the time. Its purpose is to Gather intelligence outside the borders of the Confederacy working in the shadows to create a network that will in theory stop or atleast allow the confederacy to rpepair for anything that may cause harm to the confederacy and its citizens. Whilst primeraly a passive entity using the organisations vast Influence to gather intelligence through other more expendable sources. Its agents have been known to work behind enemy lines to cause havoc and sabotage enemy infrastructure, making the confederacies enemies life hell in general.

Law and Order

Law men and women,are some of the hardest working individuals, in the confederacy. There always individuals and gangs through out the confederacy, that wish to or are already braking the law in some respect. The law is laid out by the Senate for the protection of the people and these men and women are the people who enforce it. Usually split up into districts, Especially on the heavily populated worlds of Illania and Ursa Gamma, where it is harder to enforce the law. Out in the frontier outside of the larger settlements and cities, law is still upheld by a sheriff and his own administration.

The CPD, doesnot operate on a national level, but is restricted to a state level, as the CPD's jurisdiction does not leave Confederate borders. This state level operation how ever does not affect man power or equipment. as patrolling the underbelly of the planet wide Metropolis that is Illania and other major cities, is a dangerous task especially when many of the more organised crime mobs are involved. The CPD is not limited to simple patrol duties, and are in times of unrest and rioting are called upon to pacify any violent, acts being carried out and to keep a watchful eye on the others.

Once incarcerated the offender can find himself for herself at the very worst being shipped off to a Penal colony, where they will probably live out the rest of there life, toiling away in mines. Punishments handed out by the court are generally rather harsh and Authoritarian at times, and many disagree with the forced labour and practices being implemented in penal colonies, How ever it does serve as a reasonably effective deterrent for any would be criminals. Customs also falls under each states central district control. Each providing there own fleet of space worthy vessels used for hunting pirates and enforcing the law on a system wide scale checking for contraband that maybe being smuggled into and out of the system, or the confederacy.

The Last Branch to come under the CPD is a separate branch from everyone else in its own rights but works closely with the CPD. The NID (National Intelligence Directorate) is very much like the CCIA but concentratesits efforts on counter espionage and stopping terrorism that develops with in the Confederacy its self. Being a little more blantant in there efforts as a way allowing the criminals know who are after them the NID have become a house hold boogy man for the criminal underground.

iCore

iCore is tasked with making sure all branches of the Archian military and Law Enforcement are equipped trained and well staffed. iCore oversees every logistical aspect, be that recruiting training and equipping troops and officers to ensuring that each man and women gets the right fitting boots. Whilst technically a military organisations iCore runs closely with the military and CPD but is not part of either. iCore is there as an outside independent source, giving guidance and ensuring all Branches of military and Law enforcement are well equipped.

The Confederacy of the Arch Planets Space Navy (APN)

The Confederate Space Navy plays a major part in the defence of the Confederacy, being the first line of defence against unknown threats. The Confederacy is a massive branch with in the Armed forces of the Confederacy. The APN (Arch Planets Navy) is headed by a one Governor Admiral Arthur Frank Waterstone. The Confederate navy has been around since Republic first achieved space flight. With new prospects open around the Trill system the Republic found a need to have a military arm that was capable of travelling the distances and projecting power and protecting its new colonies from those that would pray on hapless new colonies. The Confederate navy soon grew larger and larger becoming the largest Branch of the Archian military, and the premier power projector in the Republics arsenal.Now the confederate Navy protectsthe Confederacy and its borders, using its considerable might to project across the stars.

The Posidon Class Super carrier is the first of its kind conceived by the Archian navy for the purposes of power projection and intimidation, the ever first super capitol ship built, for the Archian Navy, Designed to be the Flag ship of the Navy the Posidon was meant to be a carrier vessel, how ever, it carries more guns than most Heavy battleships in the Archian navy! Seen by most of the navy as City ships its massive size and crew compliment mean it can operate by its self or with a fleet deep in unknown space for extended periods of time. Currently there is only 2 Operation Posidon class Super carrier with 2 in production, Two said to be complete with in the next 5 years. The Posidon Class saw its first command in the last hours of the 72 hour war, showing its usefulness, as both a warship and a carrier, successfully destroying two Xiscapian capitol ships, and escaping the cataclysmic event, brought about by the xiscapians in retaliation.

The Haven class was brought about, as a need to project some sort of independence from the colonies when out on patrol. A Haven class carrier acts as both the indirect fighter hold and mobile replenishing platform for other ships. Haven class carriers are designed to work independently and with a fleet for prolong amounts of time. Relatively old and outdated now the Haven class carriers are slowly being phased out to be replaced by the Achillies Class Carriers.

The Grand Armies of the Confederacy

The Grand Army of the Confederacy is the second oldest branch of the military to date, Predecessor to the Union armies before the Corporate wars, when the Confederacy was still in its infancy. The GAC has always played an important role in the Confederacy, providing safety and support to the Confederacy and being the back bone of the Confederate military machine. Made up of Archians from every state within the confederacy, it is a massive section of the Archian military dwarfing Naval personnel numbers, by 4:1, This is mainly due to the fact that the Archian military forces have no seen any major action in the past several hundred years.

During the 72 hour war the GAC did not get a chance to see combat, as the war ended before the Navy could co-ordinate with the Army and launch counter attacks against the KIN and the Kitsune empire. Some say the GAC has become complacent fat and over callious, whilst others still see it as the leading light in Archian standards providing education and safety to those who are not as lucky as others.

GAC Doctrine embraces technology and sees its self as a modern fighting force, despite its lack of action. The GAC has always sought to keep the GAC upto date on latest Military technology, So it has the very best chance at defeating its enemies. When they arise. GAC Recruits are put through rigorous training to make sure they are capable soldiers, preferring quality over quantity, even though current figures may suggest other wise. Each soldier receives 2 months basic training and other 3 weeks specialisation training.

In combat GAC is tasked to take points of strategic value on a planets surface, this is usually but not limited to surface and subterranean targets, depending on the type of operation, during full-scale operations GAC will attempt to take civilian population centres and strategic areas with as little infrastructural damage and civilian losses as possible. However should civilians get in the way of fighting, or hamper Archian war efforts they will be detained and sent to one of the numerous Confederate penal colonies.

The Treatment of Enemy Captive Act of 2107 ensures that all prisoners of war a treat well generally depending on there status and what type of nation they are from, how ever should the same treatment not be offered to Confederate soldiers each and every prisoner of war under confederate care will be interrogated (encase of officers) and executed.

Weapons of the Confederacy

The Confederacy Continuously strives forward to betters its self so that it may face anything that gets in its way. The Confederate military is also trying to do the same developing new weaponry to combat new foes and the constant dangers of the galaxy. The Confederacy Always has the survivability of its fore front of its thinking, With tried and tested weaponry that is designed to kill, maim and Utterly destroy the enemies of the Confederacy.

Standard Infantry Weapons

The standard infantry weapons of the Confederacy are designed from the ground up to be able to kill any one and anything that may stand against the Grand Confederate army. Each Soldier depending on his role with in the Confederate army is equipped with the latest and best gear available to them.

Side Arms
REAP Side Arm
The REAP Side arm is a trusted side arm that has been in the Archian Military service for over 2 years, reserved for only officers if the army, it has recently been issued to every member of each branch of the Archian armed forces, for the purpose of self defence on naval vessels, and on bases in near hostile situations.

The REAP comes in two variants a 50cal. version and .45ACP Calibre for naval officers and crew members aboard Confederate Naval vessels. The REAP Pistol has a 12 round clip, or a 24 shot battery for Laser variants of the side arm. The REAP boasts good accuracy and stopping power.


Assault Rifles/Rifles/Carbines

The Dax 5 Is the Standard issue Assault rifle for Confederate front line soldiers. Light weight and packing a mean punch the DAX-5 is a lethal weapon in the hands even lowliest Confederate soldiers. The DAX-5 fires an Armour Piercing Explosive round as standard how ever there are several other Rounds that can be fired from the DAX-5, Confederate soldiers have to pay out of there own pocket if they wish to go jump into the fray with an array of ammunitions.

The DAX-5 Is also designed to be highly customisable, how ever apart from the standard Computerised multi spectrum target finder and scope Confederate soldiers have to pay out of there own pocket to field extra attachments. How ever This is not always strictly the case as Depending on the Soldiers role with in the squad they will be given further weapon attachments. (See weapon attachments Section)


CM-34 Marine Carbine

The CM-34 Carbine is a pulse rifle based around the Dax - 5 Assault Rifle, using many of the same principles as the Dax - 5 how ever it is designed primeraly for ship board marines, being lighter and shorter than the Dax - 5 it offers up good rate of fire and stopping power at the reduced accuracy and range, how ever in the hands of marines fighting in enclosed spaces such as ship corridors this lack of rnage or accuracy has little affect on the over all quality of the weapon.

The CM-34 can be customised just like the Dax - 5 (See weapons attachment Section) Like the Army Soldiers are given extra equipment on a mission basis. Any extra equipment the Marine has to buy from his own pocket, from the ship Armourer.

The PFLR is a battle rifle rail gun handed to soldiers with an aptetude for marksmenship, this powerfull weapon has the ability to fire accurately over very large distances and effectivly kill and enemy. Using rail gun technology to throw conventional rounds at the enemy with high accuracy and a medium rate of fire. Due to the heat generation of the rails the weapon can only be fired in semi automatic of burst modes to keep the weapon from exploding in the soldiers hands.

The MKIII is a rail gun sniper rifle, deadly at any range this weapon has the power to take the head off of a soldier in power armour, designed to be both anti personell and anti material, this weapon can fire a multitude of rounds from solid tugsten slugs to Acid tipped conventional rounds. M*A*S*H Units

Mobile Army Surgical Hospitals (M*A*S*H) are an integral part of the sustainability of the Confederate army allowing soldiers who are injured in battle to be treated relatively quickly. Increasing survivability rates of soldiers getting them back into the fight, sooner rather than later. M*A*S*H Units generally operate several miles from the Front lines, and are able to pack up and move as the Front line changes.

M*A*S*H Units are usually made up of draftees and volunteers from the medical profession, trained in basic military procedures and sent to the front lines to patch up the wounded as best they can to ensure they either get back to the front or survive long enough to get them onto a hospital ship and back to a safe harbour where they can be operated on with the best equipment available.

Whilst the Confederate Army realises that M*A*S*H units are integral to army, the equipment it receives is most of the time sub par to what is available back on the core worlds. How ever the surgeons and doctors continue to try their best in the conditions they are given.

Archian Pantheon

Religion in the Arch Islands in not a big thing, or at least not any longer. The Pantheon church dates back to pre-Steel age, Archia. Whilst the Pantheon is still regarded as the state religion and billions of people still go to church, its influence over the Confederacy and the people has diminished drastically over the years the Confederacy has stretched into the stars. The pantheon is made up of 5 major gods and several more minor gods, each said to have a specific rule in the creation of the universe.

The Church Hierarchy

Seer's
The Pantheon Church is headed by the the Seer a man elected to position from several select few, with in the upper echelons of the Pantheon church, in ancient times these Seer's where fabled to have power given to him by the gods, mighty powers to control the will of men and summon fire. Many Modern Day scientists speculate that these Seers where beings of intense Flux powers, a trait with in the Confederacy which had all but died out until recently.

In today's world, the Seer is still a person of importance, the current Seer Benedict the Moral, is an advocate of peace, holding enough sway in the Confederate senate to initiate a peace treaty with the Kitsune empire of Xiscapia. Running the Church and holding monthly masses from the Citadel of Panthea, on Illania.

Archon Council
The council was created in advise and carry out the will of the Seer, in ancient times the Archons where Adepts of the flux powerful people, Scriptures suggest that the earliest Archons were the off springs of the goods when they came down to visit the mortals of Illania.

The Council these days holds little power over the wider politics of the Confederacy and has reserved its self to helping the people of Illania, the Church and its children are seen as a charitable organisation, in the eyes of the people, seen to be doing along of good for the Confederacy in General.

With in the Church them selves the Council are the Administrators of the Seer's will, and should the Seer's fall ill and die unexpectedly they are granted the powers of the Seer collectively until a new Seer can be elected.

Drevian's
Drevians are missionaries travelling, religious men, spreading the word of the Pantheon and the gods. These men are seen at the forefront of any Church initiative, leading the way, they tend to be charismatic men and women, who wish to do good in the universe.

Practitioners
Practitioners are the keepers of the churches and holders of the daily mass, each man or woman is assigned a church and a community, they are the priests and Priestesses of the Pantheon. They are tasked with helping the local area in projects and trying to bring everyone together be it through the Pantheon or through local activities.

With day to day life as busy as it is nowadays and the advances in technology many believe the Practitioner has pasted their usefulness, how ever the church addiment to hold one to some of the Confederacies old morals, continues to train Practitioners and build churches.

The Gods of the Pantheon


Arcus
God of mankind, Arcus is said to be the creator of man, he designed man in his and his sisters image. Arcus is revered as the strongest and eldest of the gods. He is associated with light and power, depicted as a tall man with long black hair, he has been refereed to through out history, as a just and noble god.

In the ancient scriptures Arcus is said to have visited the Seer Marcilious Heventia telling him of a time when Archia would stretch across the very heavens, as a shining light in the darkness of the night sky. Many still debate whether or not this has come to fruit even now as the Confederacy freely traverses the universe.


Hessia
Sister to Arcus and God of Light and rebirth, Hessia is a loving soul, fond of all life in the universe. Strong willed just like her brother is said to be, Hessia is said to have a fiery rage, when angered. She is associated with the legendary Phoenix a majestic bird of myth.

It is said the Hessia painted the Summer Solaris, an event in the summer period of Illania where the sky in the northern hemisphere shimmers gold. How ever modern science determined this to be the act of a solar flare reflecting off the space dust clouds that cumulate Near Illania every year.

Geronix
Geronix is the God of Thunder and war, Usually depicted as a monster of man carrying a massive war hammer. Geronix has been used through out history, instil confidence with in the military forces of the Confederacy, With many regiments taking there names from the god and his deeds.

Geronix is said to have come to Illania during a great darkness, and fought back the tide of evil with his mighty war hammer saving the human race. Despite his war like nature he is associated with the Stag, a stubborn proud animal, that is loyal to the last.

Sidia
Sidia the Goddess of Seduction and sex, is usually depicted as siren with black feathery wings. She is said to have seduced Geronix and caused the downfall of the great ancient Keevan empire of the ancient times. she is seen as a dangerous entity. She is also the patron goddess of the Archian Companion Groups. lending her a semblance of respect in the Confederacy.

Many still worship the goddess, as it is said she brings good fortune and bountiful children to those that do.

Krill
Krill the God of Death and the Ever Lasting Song. He is usally depicted as a musician, most of the time playing a flute of some kind. It is said that those going to there death here is solemn tune and cannot help but to follow him to the after life.

Paranormal

The Force
The force, was recently introduced to the confederacy, by a nation that had been on the run and inadvertently destroyed its self. Those that where trained in the way of the force never adopted the jedi code or the way of the sith, as there wasn't enough time to teach them about such powerful forces. Instead Forces users follow there own creed and code, Although the Archian Force council is a separate entity to the Confederate military.

Seen as wild card or grey jedi to many other force using organisations. The Archian Force council, has the furtherment of the body and mind and the understanding of the force as its top priorities, and doesn't really play and active role in the Confederacy as of yet.

Due to the young age of the Archian Force council there aren't many Force users or recognised force users currently.

The Flux
The Flux is a physic power not fully understood by science,it is said to stretch back to ancient times, and is said to be related to the Pantheon and church. Flux users went through a period of dormancy, several generations seemed to show no flux sensitivity at all, and the power is only just emerging once again, in a few cases across the confederacy.

Not a lot is known about the Flux there are several theories, the most recognised is that the Flux is a sensitivity to residual back ground wave pattern from the big bang. Flux users can essentially manipulate the elements on a particle level, It required immense concentration and mastery but once mastered the Flux can be a devastating power with the potential for god like results.

Tracing its origins back to ancient times, and with links the the Pantheon, any believe the Flux is a gift from the gods, other believe it to be a test to see If the confederacy is ready to reach a higher plain of existence. Scientists believe it is a Genetic Phenomenon, that lay dormant in the Gene pool or a long time and due to recent medical brake through's has become more active again.

The First stage of Flux is the ability to manipulate electricity, more specifically Static electricity, summoning arc of lightning and super charging there own bodies with out any known negative impacts. This stage is seen as the harmless stage, but is not to be mistaken as a weak stage, of development, many masters of the flux still use there original powers with devastating finely practised effect.

The Flux can be amplified through the use of a strange black crystal like formation known to the Confederacy as Fluxite, found on the planet of Haderon, like the zelocite crystal it absorbs the background residual wave pattern and amplifies it,how ever using this crystal comes with a negative affect. Fluxite slowly infects the user, slowly turning there skin into fluxite and eventually there entire body. The time it takes for this to happen, varies depending on how frequently the user uses the Flux.

Living in the Confederacy

States That Make up the Confederacy

Their are several states with in the Confederacy that make up the main Celestial Confederacy. Each one governing their own province, with in the Sector of Space the Confederacy resided in. Each State has its own quirks and kinks that sets them aside from the rest.

The State of Illania

The State of Illania is by far the largest State within the Confederacy, mainly because it is the birth place of the Confederacy and is home to the Capitol World of Illania. Illanian Citizens tend to speak in what can only be described as British accent, People from all over the confederacy live with in The State of Illania, lending it a mixed culture that in its self is unique.

Illanians are diverse set of humans, ranging anywhere from 5ft'7 to 6ft'5 in height. Due to the variety of people living within the state, it is impossible to give the state a physical attribute that makes its citizens stand out amongst others. However A True born Illanian born on the planet of Illania is said to usually have a strong jawline and Green/Brown eyes.(See Illanian.jpeg for example of an Illanian Male, Also See Illanian Female.jpegfor Illanian Female Example.)

The State of Illania holds rights over 3 other Systems as well as The Trill System (State Capitol System). Making it the largest State with in the Confederacy, Each System with in the State is treat equally, based on its value to the state, and Each System is subject to both State and Confederate Laws.

Illanians Tend to be fond of food, due to the abundance of food from trade, coming into and from the Capitol of the Confederacy. People living on the Capitol tend to eat well, regardless of their income, as food is cheap and people enjoy coming up with new things to make your taste buds thank you.

Illanians hold many things close to heart the most important being family, the love for ones family is a bond each Archian shares, but more so to each Illanian. Proud of their democracy Illanians are always quick to defend, their liberties and freedoms believing them to be the defining point between civilisation and savagery.

The Illanians have always had a proud military tradition, even before the Formation of the Confederacy. Illanian State troops tend to be highly trained and equipped, and can be counted on no to falter in the face of the enemy.

The State of Arlos Ridge

Arlos Ridge is the second largest State with in the Confederacy, In a small area of space known as the Ridge Line, an area in which an ionic Nebulae exists, named after its founder Arlos Ridge, the captain of one of the first confederate ships to leave the Trill system. The Sector is outwardly bordered by a giant Ionic Nebulae, that spans several hundred, light years. The Capitol System of the Arlos ridge is Ursa-Gamma, one of the first systems to be explored and colonised by the early explorers of the Confederacy.

The Ridgians as they like to be known, are much like their Illanian brothers, how ever they tend to be much more strong willed, and favour a good fight, over good food. this was partly the reasoning behind Placing the Confederate Naval HQ on the planet of Gamma Prime.

Ridgians may at first come across as more aggressive than their Illanian brothers, but this is not always the case, they are a tough and sturdy people born from the sturdy early pioneers who, fought against the elements to colonise the Planet. Despite this they have been said to be some of the friendlier people of the Confederacy. Taverns brothels and Pubs are the favoured pass times of many Ridgians a good drink and a good women, are seen as having fun in most parts of the Ridge sector.

Ridgian Males are generally well built standing at an average of 6ft'3, this genetic trait is said to have dated back from the early explorers and colonists. Ridgian women, are cuvacious and almost always scantily clad in some sort of skin hugging clothing that accentuates their body. some claim that Ridgian women are some of the most beautiful women in the entire Confederacy. Like their brothers the Illanians the Ridgians are fine sailors and soldiers, the Archian navy realised this and now bases its HQ on gamma Prime. Ridgians make up the main stay of the Archian Orbital Drop Marine Corp

The State of Diemos

The State of Diemos is one of the newer states, within the Confederacy, formed out of necessity. The need to effectively govern the outer provinces, and also give them some form of individuality and indepence. The State of Diemos is a small state, still dealing with the developing colonies on the outer rims of the confederacy.

The State of Diemos, has a vibrant culture due to the different people moving from the inner territories to the outer colonies in search of a new life, Its worlds are still reminiscent of the Wild West.

The State of Jitra is also a new state the newest of the four, centred around the the colony of Erramus in the Beta - Alviuli System. Like the State of Deimos Erramus and the other colonies where given State ship in order to make governing the provinces easier. Erramus the state capitol is a hot desert world with breathable atmosphere, with no large oceans but with many under ground lakes, Erramus has managed to flourish,along with the state thanks to the abundance of minerals and resources.

The State of Jitra despite the industrialisation is still somewhat reminiscent of the Wild west especially in many of the smaller towns and colonies. where moisture farming is the biggest industry.

Territory

Star systems and the resources and populations that reside within them, are what makes the the Confederacy tick over, with out the steady stream of material wealth produced by each individual world inhabited by Confederate citizens, there simply would be not confederacy to sail through the stars. When a star system is considered Confederate Territory all space and objects with in a one light year radius of from the systems primary star is considered to be confederate held territory, and under its jurisdiction. All Confederate and allied fleets are typically checked by local customs forces, and asked about several aspects of there trip,namely destination cargo and where they had came from. Encase of hostile or unknown ships ill be warned and boarded (encase of unknown ships) all known hostiles will be engaged immediately no questions asked.

Confederate territories are generally divided up into 3 distinct types. Core Systems, Frontier Provinces, Joint Holdings, Inner worlds

Core systems: Core systems are the earliest confederate colonies and the most densely populated systems with in the confederacy.

Frontier Provinces: Frontier Provinces are the outer most and newest colonies of the Confederacy whilst still under the jurisdiction of the confederacy these colonies tend to be left to here own devices, mainly funded by the colonists that inhabit them,this had lead to a life style reminiscent of Old earth Wild west in many of the colonies smaller settlements.

Joint Holdings: Brought about after the 72 hour war, when the Confederacy entered into the joint control of the Fudo System.

Inner worlds: The newest grouping brought about after the second stage of colonisations became self reliable colonies, these Colonies are worlds whilst outside the core worlds are not fully functioning worlds of the confederacy.

Candaria is most noteable for its massive chimney stacks that protrude from the ground Belching Atmospheric gases and numerous harmful chemicals into the planets Atmosphere. Any Archian living in the Rock is likely to have his life cut by 7 years, due to the Sheer amount of toxic and Corrosive Agents in the Air.

Their moons are all Terraformed to and populated many of them Housing numerous military bases and ship yards.

Iceberg, is a very cold planet, on the far reaches of the Trill system, with a constant snow covering over the entire planet through out its yearly cycle, temperatures on ice berg rarely get above 0 degrees, its average temperature yearly is around -23 degrees. The planet is still very habitable, with a rather diverse eco-system, Hotsprings and Geo-thermal vents all over the planet ensure heating for the Colonies on the planet. Due to its position in the system, its moons have been taken up by research and military outposts, which keep a diligent eye for anything that may be entering the system, that could be hostile or is unknown.
