Strict usage of cars, unless you pay taxes to exit and enter busy cities, and we have no speed limits.

There are currently no travel bans to any nation.

The Constitution of TurtleShroom explicitly forbids any citizen from visiting or attempting to visit the nation of Connopolis, who received such a permanent humiliation after they passed the mandatory legalization of prostitution through the World Assembly, permanently damaging relations between the WA (now colliqually referred to as the "Devils' Congregate") and the country.

Travel to Victorious Decepticons is also explicitly forbidden, and not even spies and agents of the state show up there, for obvious reasons.

In addition, travel to any pony nation (except Yellowapple) is restricted to missionary, diplomatic, and business purposes, and trying to join a pony nation is illegal.

Travel advisories and temporay bans exist from time to time, depending on circumstances, such as war, disease, culture, religion, and so on and so forth.

The government does not ban travel, but it does strongly advise against visiting countries it considers unsafe.

Travel to developed nonhuman nations are strongly discouraged but are not banned any time of the year.
'Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.' (II Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV)

Only nations that we are at war with (and with the exception of one short one month long war we have been at peace with everyone) earn outright travel bans. But anyone going to the Empire of Victorious Decepticons, places like Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, and communist countries, are warned that they do it at their own risk and the Vallermooreian government will not step in to help them in any way.

The Canmian Ministry of Foreign Affairs can, at any time, issue a travel warning or travel ban. "Travel bans" do not actually prevent Canmian citizens from entering said nations, but do effectively cancel all flights and sea voyages to and from. Typically, this is only instituted if the nation in question is experiencing an epidemic of a severe disease, is a war zone, or is otherwise deemed significantly unsafe for Canmian nationals. The Canmian Congress can overturn any and all travel bans.

There was a travel ban in place on Afghanistan from 1996 to 2002 and on Iran from 1983 to 2014.

The Ministry of Foreign affairs discourages travel to certain areas such as Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia (for purposes other than Hajj), and interestingly the US state of North Carolina due to its transphobic bathroom laws.

You may only travel to left wing nations.
Grenston City is a city state enclaved by Vescus. We were once part of those capitalist pig dogs, but now they are our arch enemies and we refuse to ally with any who are their allies (Vescus refuses to ally with any who ally with us too, so if you dislike them then alliance with us could be a wise move). We are proud communists, who tried to rebel and make the entire nation communist (again), but instead of the communist utopia Vescus was 900 years ago, we became a city state, which is just as good.

DEATH TO THE RIGHT WING!

There are no travel bans in Yannia, but the Bëwindshof van Ütlandske Zákën (department of foreign affairs) does issue travel advisories for various nations, for various reasons, most notably war, civil unrest, and/or discrimination.

The Public Safety Group (Neppurgsddykssllähmas, NGS) works in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to publish a yearly report of nations that can be travel to called the Nediugesersekirtu. In the most recent report from 225 there wasn't a list, but a statement:
Nations supporting the ideas of Capitalism, fascism and other right-wing ideologies that discriminates the right of the worker is banned. Travelling to these illegal nations is high treason and will result in execution.

Officially, there are no travel bans in place anywhere in the Imperium. There are, of course, travel advisory warnings posted on unsafe locations, but citizens are still free to visit these places at their own risk.

With the Imperium being at war with most of it's immediate neighbors, few are willing to even consider travelling abroad, as those who do tend to attract unhealthy attention from Domestic Security as potential enemy sympathizers, or in the very least smugglers of illicit goods.

Since travelling anywhere abroad requires a starship, and commercial lines do not reach beyond Imperium's borders for the above reasons, also avoiding unsafe areas within the Imperium, adventurers willing to take their chances must therefore enlist the aid of Freelancers to that end. Since hiring a Freelance ship for transport and protection is beyond the means of most citizens, and those who can afford the steep price tend to be either officials in no position to make adventurous escapades, or wealthy enough to afford their own personal ship, few people other than Freelancers themselves really ever travel abroad on their own initiative. An alternative for an adventurous Sidh is to join a Freelancer outfit, but that typically involves long-standing commitments to contract that few are willing to make.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

The more God in one's mouth, the less in one's heart.

Travel within and outside of the country is banned except with all the proper permits and papers one must carry at all times plus those who travel overseas must have three government minders (2-civilian, 1-military) to make sure they follow all ISA laws and customs.

We do not control where our citizens go. But we do issue travel warnings for nations that can be hazardous (for example, hot weather above 20°).

In the nation of Thethethethethe, we have prohibited members of oppressive countries from visiting in large numbers, and if they do visit it must be without any assault weapons. We have not prohibited our people from visiting these countries, but it is generally discouraged. Most of us view those countries unfavorably, and choose not to visit them in order to avoid personal harm or international conflict.
