Greetings!
In the name of Frederick IV, the Rechtzuhör and Tyrnica herself, it is my honour to officially announce a new era in Tyrnican diplomacy and communication, by proudly presenting to you, the nations of the world — the Tyrnican Embassy Exchange Programme.
In the past four months, the Tyrnican Ministry of Foreign Affairs has worked tirelessly to construct what stands before you today — an official agenda regarding the global progression of the kingdom in diplomatic affairs, the first of such a kind since the early 20th century. The programme is open to all nations who wish to apply, and it is hoped that every single embassy and consulate that we host will be a monument to peace and consultation in the world.
This programme comes with the official nullification of the Tyrnican Neutrality Policy of 1990, preventing the Tyrnican nation from indirectly entering conflicts with militaristic intentions in mind. In the past six months, it has oft been the belief of King Frederick, Prime Minister Lehmann and the Tyrnican government that we are no longer content to stand aside whilst thousands die oppressed and alone under the brutal regimes of hostile entities. With recent events such as the Takikan Crisis, the First International Socialist Conference and the rise of a leftist agenda in the northern region itself, we find it prudent to broaden our horizons and endeavour on a journey to make the world a better place.
The Grand Kingdom of Tyrnica itself is a peacefully co-operative mix of a democratic parliament and an absolute monarchy, situated in the cool regions of the northern continent. Founded in 1266, Tyrnica has survived over 750 years of national history and currently ranks in several indices of development, such as the Human Development Index, in which Tyrnica is one of the highest ranking nations worldwide. Our nation's ideals espouse those of centre-leftism and democratic socialism, with the economy functioning using the Tyrnican variant of the Nordic model as developed in Valschaffën and Audrache. It is regarded as a competent small-to-middle power on the international scale.
Nonetheless, this is intended to be a short statement, and so I will not bore you with the endless details of the programme and kingdom in words. All of the information you require to establish a diplomatic presence in the kingdom is located below, and it is my personal hope that this programme grows into something grand.
Regards,
– Dmitri Volschrev
Minister for Foreign Affairs

Hello! This is the OOC part of the thread, where I run down the specifics and intricacies of what this programme is for and what I expect it to be.
I'll get right to the point; this is intended to be an involved thread. If all you want to do is add Tyrnica to a list of nations you've got an embassy in, then leave. This programme is for embassies that shall, perhaps, evolve into threads of their own with the added immersion of pre-established diplomatic relations. Unlike other people, who will simply set up the thread and say "accepted," I plan to act upon submissions and actually do something with them.
This could range from simple international conferences, to hostage situations and extraterritorial belligerency. If you're the kind of player who enjoys a quality RP, then I'm hoping that this can be a gateway into a wider world of such interactions.
If you're interested in a bit more of a look at Tyrnica than what the Foreign Minister said in the opening message, then I'll enclose a spoiler with a few overview paragraphs below. Otherwise, I'm currently working on an iiWiki page, and I'll link that when it's done.
In regards to the rules and regulations, I'll give you a quick rundown before the IC rules come into play. I'd really prefer it if you submitted the application in an official communique or message from your government, because it proves that you actually care about the application, as opposed to going in merely for the sake of it, like I said above. You've also got to be willing to have your embassy exposed to spontaneous situations. I'll usually message someone before I instigate something, but if you don't like the idea of embassy RP, this probably isn't for you.
I'm also limiting this to Modern Tech and Human-Only . . . Sorry. The human-only is non-negotiatable, but if you'd like to actually RP the establishment of an embassy in the past, that's fine. However, because of the Neutrality Policy, it will have been removed in 1990 anyway.
As an extra added note – apologies to all users of the dark theme, but I didn't like the previous "bright" styles that I came up with, so I opted for a black theme.
I've just got a few more little tidbits to explain before we move onto the actual application. First up, there's a diplomatic immunity table in a spoiler down below; it might seem a little stricter than other such tables, but where does Tyrnica get its high standard of living, if it does not have a functioning justice system?
Now, onto the embassy application itself. Please fill in all of the questions; they're all there for a reason. As I've stated previously, I'd much prefer it if this application was enclosed in a message from your government, which is why it's in a spoiler.
So, we've got through all of the boring stuff. You're free to go ahead and fill out the application now.

Hello!
This is the official and comprehensive guide for the application form to establish an embassy or consulate in the Grand Kingdom of Tyrnica! The consular side is still currently under construction, but your equivalent to the Tyrnican Ministry of Foreign Affairs is free to fill out the embassy application and express mail it to the Tyrnican government for quick consideration.
There are, of course, procedures that one must follow in order to be successful. The Tyrnican government, for example, will not review your application if it is not disclosed in an official government communique. We will dismiss any unmarked applications as unauthorised messages and subsequently ignore them!
Furthermore, it is expected that you do not request your chancery to be heavily fortified, or for your vehicles to possess qualities that are viewed as unnecessarily overprotective by the Ministry. This includes heavy-duty tires, turrets, attack helicopters, snipers and any other military installations that have no place in the streets of Vovaya Kronor.
We are also wary about excessive diplomatic staff. The total count of workers, including the ambassador or consul, cannot exceed forty. Similarly, we place a limit of three to five semi-automatic firearms on embassy staff, and these are not to be carried regularly. For reference, ceremonial weapons are permitted in mêlée form and are to be kept safely locked away.
Other embassy programmes allow nations to choose the architecture, location and style of their embassy. This is not an option with the Tyrnican Embassy Exchange Programme, for all embassies are located on Union Street, Vovaya Kronor and have been constructed specifically to suit the style of the capital. We apologise for any inconvenience.
It is also our obligation to advise you that embassy applications sending ambassadors with excessive criminal records will be denied. This is due to our extensive security system in Tyrnica, and while we encourage you to visit, criminals will not be permitted access to such vulnerable parts of the capital.
And, of course, all staff must adhere to regular Tyrnican law. The Tyrnican government reserves the right to deny any application without reason, although we will attempt to supply one.
The embassy application form is just below.

Apologies in advance for any mistakes or inconsistencies; it's late at night and I wanted to throw this out there while I had the drive.
