Your ranks. They're like the collar ranks used by the IJA or the PLA from 1955-1965. If you want, I can design epaulette ranks as well.

General Luna approves

BTW, how about some minor changes? 2nd LT has one bar, 1st LT has two bars connected by two lines, the Captain has one sword with tip pointed up, and everything else remains unchanged? I'm sorry if I had to say this, but this just came into mind as the final design for the officers' rank, and it just seems so blank and insignificant that the 2nd Lt has just an octagon.

Apologies.

These ranks are designed to be displayed on the shoulders of their uniforms, and each branch has two main colors for it's color scheme for it's ranks. For other things like stars, lines and whatnot I'll leave up to your creativity. Ranks listed as only obtainable if promoted by either the High Generals/The Emperor should be more elegant in design than the rest. While training ranks should be the most simplistic.

It would also be a big bonus if you design one for the Emperor in each branch which would be worn in ceremonies for that branch.

Army (Troopers) - White/Bright Red (Uniforms are mostly white, if that information helps)
Army (Command Branch) - White/Dark Blue (Uniforms are mostly white, if that information helps)
Navy - Black/Light Blue(or at least a somewhat lighter blue -- Also the Uniforms here are mostly Black if that helps.)
Air Force - White/Gold (Uniforms are mostly Blue if that helps)

I need one set for my army and one set for my republican guard, for each (if it's not to much trouble) I would like a dress uniform version and service uniform version. Republican Guard ranks are the same however their shoulder boards are more intricate on both their dress and service uniforms.

I tried to be as descriptive as possible of what I was envisioning but feel free to make any alterations if something doesn't look that good in your opinion or if my descriptions don't make sense lol. All the described ranks are supposed to be in a Chinese style and contain a gold button at the top of the bar and are to be in Padnaki army green. For the Republican Guard the ranks are the same however all ranks contain the republican guard emblem (the crossed machetes) in gold and all officer ranks have golden epaulets attached to them. Dress uniform versions are all the same as the regular service uniform versions with the exception that the army ones are rendered in gray and the republican guard ones in white with red stitching along their edges
Officers
Senior General - 5 stars aranged in a pentagon shape around a Padnaki National Crest
General - 4 stars in a square
Lieutenant General - 3 stars in a triangle
Major General - 2 stars with a gold bar beneath
Senior Colonel - 1 star with 3 gold bars
Colonel - 1 star with 2 gold bars
Lieutenant Colonel - 1 star with 1 gold bar
Major - 1 star with 2 gold bars running length ways
Captain - 1 gold star with 1 gold bar running length ways
Lieutenant (broken down into first and second classes) (first class - 2 gold bars running length ways, second class - 1 gold bar running length ways)
Officer Cadet - Single gold bar running length ways
Enlisted
Sargent Major - 5 stacked gold chevrons with 3 gold bars running length ways until they reach the chevrons where they end but are contuinued on the other side of them
Technical Officer - 2 stacked gold chevrons facing towards the top of the sholder bar with a gold pentagon below them
Staff Sargent - 4 stacked gold chevrons with two gold bars running part of the length ways until they reach the chevrons where they end without touching them
Sargent - 3 stacked gold chevrons with gold bar running part of the way length ways until it reaches the upwards facing chevrons where it ends without touching them
Corporal - 2 stacked gold chevrons towards the top of the shoulder bar
Private - Single gold chevron facing towards the top of the shoulder bar

Your ranks. Please let me know if I messed up in the Republican Guard's officers' insignia: That is, if it should have been gold.

Yes, I do.

Duplicate ranks? In the same branches or what
In different branches, well thats just that different branches in same branch, pretty sure I have no duplicates.

Asterisk is stars, example four star general or 2 star brigadier general.

I'd request for the Novayan Combined Joint Expeditionary Forces everyday uniform insignias: Major General (*), Lieutenant General (**), Colonel General (***), Army General. The latter is based on the present day Russian rank of Army General; the only differences is that the color red is replaced by the color blue and the red star is replaced with the blue compass logo.

Like the guy above, the aterisks represent the stars.
READ BELOW!

I RP as Novaya, a Human militaristic nation (cuz anime) and an archipelagic country. I also RP as the Novayan Stellar Commonwealth, a FanFT/FanFFT nation.
Please refer to me/my nation as Novaya in both IC and OOC, NOT Novaya Equestria.

Well, people are entitled to have their own rank systems (mine is triangles), but typically differing general ranks have a set number of stars. Like Brigadier General is 1 star, and Lieutenant General is 3 stars in the US Military, there isn't, for example, such a thing as a 3 star Brigadier General or a 2 star Lieutenant General.

Okay then.

For the case of one and two-star Brigadier General, I decided to pull an Iran (i.e. Second Brigadier General and Brigadier General). The same for Major and Lieutenant General. For one to four-star General, it's Fourth General, Third General, Second General and General.

I also revised your naval ranks, as they are too messy and awkward. It goes like so:

-Fleet Admiral (Because Admiral of the Fleet and Fleet Admiral as two separate ranks seems redundant.
-Admiral (See Fleet Admiral)
-Vice Admiral (A Rear Admiral is generally a 1 or 2-star admiral. Unless you mean for this rank to be 2 stars, please let me know.)
-Rear Admiral (Why is an Admiral General subordinate to a Rear Admiral?)
-Second Rear Admiral (see Rear Admiral)
-Commodore Admiral (What is a Major General doing in the Navy anyway?)
-Commodore (Commodore Brigadier sounds redundant)

Ranks of the Metropolitan Guard, and general law enforcement.
If specific colours are needed, I would want them to be amber, or harvest gold yellow for the actual insignia, and cinder blue, or a navy blue for the background.
