There is an unofficial state church, the Iglesia Filipina Independiente which is considered to be a Filipino Catholic Church, which is divided between Unitarian and Trinitarian. The most populous however is the Roman Catholic Church. There is also Islam, Buddhism and Bathalismo, a folk Christian religion

There are no State Religions in our nation, however freedom of religion and secularism is respected in order to be neutral as much as possible. Even though Anglicans under the Church of Mindanao are the most popular religion in the country with 65 %of the population are members.

Tell me, is religion in your country legal: Yes.

What do your people worship: 60% of Bahtaris are Christian, 20% abide to Tribal/Indigenous Religions while 10% is Muslim (8% Sunni and 2% Shiite) and the remainder are other religions.

any other information regarding religion and your nation should also be discussed.: Bahtar has no state religion, but recognizes 3 religions. Christianity, the Tribal and Indigenous Religions and Islam. President Khalid bin Bargash is part of the Muslim minority.

Lebowskiberg recognises the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster as the only true religion, and all members of our libertarian community are devout Pastafarians.

The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is taught in our schools from a young age to encourage critical thinking and freedom from religion.

From the Loose Cannon:

I am the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Thou shalt have no other monsters before Me. (Afterwards is OK; just use protection.) The only Monster who deserves capitalization is Me! Other monsters are false monsters, undeserving of capitalization.

Postby Dontaria » Mon Apr 11, 2016 4:30 am

The idea of religion, more specifically belief in a higher being, has been frowned upon by almost every Dontarian. Dontarians pride themselves in believing that humanity, and humanity alone, can achieve great things without the guidance of a higher being. This stemmed from the fact that Dontarians have lost faith in a higher being due to a very long and near-perpetual state of turbulence in their region for centuries. It still stuck on the populace after the Dontarian Mercantile Order's (DMO) assumption of power, who turned atheism into a law and begun enforcing it upon the populace to foster scientific and technological development without interference from religious groups.

Nowadays, practicing religion isn't banned outright. What is completely banned, however, is the open practice of religion. The religious must practice behind closed doors and are prohibited from spreading their faith. They must also keep their mouth shut, seeing as they are not allowed to protest not only against the government, but against any scientific or technological advancement. Punishment for spreading their faith, however, will result in imprisonment of both the person who shared, and the person who received, provided that they renounced their atheism. The same goes for protest against scientific or technological advancement.

The activity of non-theistic religious groups is also highly monitored, but not as restricted as theistic religious groups are. The DMO basically conducts checks on them every now and then to ensure that they don't overstep their boundaries.

Altogether, the religious make up less than 2% of the population, indicating that the Dontarian Mercantile Order's policies of state atheism have been very successful.

Freedom of Religion is considered a natural right. In Ndaku, the Abrahamic Faiths (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) are held sacred and piously.
'Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.' (II Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV)

Legal, because unlike some people who like to preach that "We promote science and ban religion 'cos muh logical thinking" bullshit, we both oppose religious fundamentalism (dogmatic literal interpretation of religion) and edgy "new-age" atheism (dogmatic thinking and rejection of philosophical and metaphorical interpretations of religion).

As a result, anyone can follow whatever they believe in, but forcing dogmatic horseshit into people's throat is outright banned and will lead to execution.

Religion is legal, though religious institutions get no special privileges and must follow the same rules as anyone else.

Liberation theology is very common, though the local Church of Holy Liberation has broken from orthodox Catholicism due to the methodological conservatism of the Catholic Church. They do remain similar in theology, however. They're usually known as Liberationist Catholics or Vatyrzom Catholics. Roman Catholicism is essentially dead in Vatyrzom following the Liberation Schism. Prosperity theology, alongside Protestantism in general, is also pretty much dead. Anabaptists are an exception, if they're even Protestants at all. While Liberation Catholicism dominates the mostly urban Gesellschaft regions, the mostly rural Gemeinschaft regions tend towards form of Anabaptism similar to that of the Amish and the Mennonites - a major difference being far lower rates of pacifism compared to international Anabaptism. Atheism is also on the rise, as religion's psychological importance (as the opiate of the masses) decreases with the decline of alienation and malaise.

In statistics from 2014, 24% of Keshokifians attend Orthodox Christian places of worship, 12% attend Keshokifian Pagan places of worship, 8% attend other Christian places of worship and some other religions have their own attendees. However, in the same poll, more than 90% of Keshokifians identify as irreligious, with the majority identifying as Agnostic Atheist, some as simply Agnostic, and some parody religions such as Pastafarianism, Jediism and Kkelitism were listed also. So, why is it that such an irreligious population has abnormally high levels of church attendance?

Mainly, this is due to the nature of religion in Keshokif. Religion has always been a talking point for dinner table conversations. While other countries often place a taboo on talking about religion (and politics, though that is a separate matter), Keshokifians discuss religion openly. For some, they appreciate the community of religion, as churches and temples act as meeting places and social conventions, some appreciate the pastoral care given by pastors, even if they don't agree with the message, and some simply like a good story and to discuss ideas with others. As such, a population which is mostly irreligious has many religious attendees.

It is legal. There are mostly Christians, Jews, Pagans and Buddhists of all denominations. Not many of them can actually be bothered to go church/synagogue/temple that one time a week.

The IR is a nominally secular society, but Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodoxers are legally discriminated against and practically enslaved by a Protestant elite.
A corporate dictatorship run by supremacist Anglo-Protestants who have an intense hatred for all things Catholic, Latin, Irish, Jewish, Orthodox, and Slavic. Basically if 19th century American nativists and 1930s British fascists decided to found a country together. Also the state religion is a vicious war-cult that believes the "inferiors" must be conquered wherever possible.
