Month names are in French in Ventalia since, well, French is the official language. No need for a translation since they're mostly obvious once read:
Janvier, Février, Mars, Avril, Mai, Juin, Juillet, Aout, Septembre, Octobre, Novembre, Décembre

In Shalotte, a northerly archipelago subjected to an oceanic climate, the year is divided in half - one 'dark half' (Sahaéne, commencing on the 1st November according to the Gregorian calendar, and is the start of the Shalotte year), and one 'light half' (Br'ghaéne, commencing on the 1st May). The midway points of these two 'super-months' may be commemorated, but are not given distinct names.

"The days of military oppression, forced labor, and unlawful conscription are coming to an end. I have already begun establishing new regulations and limitations for the senate to weed out corruption and ensure that it stands as a clear and unwavering voice of the people. Our military will be re-purposed to protect the people instead of proscribing them.
This new order of rule, this new Dominion, shall be maintained by liberty and justice to the citizens of mankind, those courageous pioneers who have fought through horrors unimaginable to become stewards of this distant end of the universe. Never again will fear, greed, or alien threats force us from our rightful place in the Koprulu sector, or from the sacred human desire for freedom."

The year is divided into ten months, divided into four ten-day weeks, which are called diesi.

The first day of the week is called Bandi; the second, Loualdi; the third, Jańdi; the fourth, Maldi; the fifth, Holndi; the sixth, Gaodi; the seventh, Rjeńdi; the eighth, Nońdi; the ninth, Histridi; the tenth, Sasdi. They are named after the ancient Satterthwaitean gods.

The ten months are named, in order: Ojmaire, Vrimaire, Grimaire, Dejmaire, Sejsmaire, Promaire, Frejmaire, Rjońmaire, Wejmaire, Wermaire, Wrońmaire, Wasmaire. The months, in comparison, are named after fruits.
THE MOST GLORIOUS EMPIRE OF SATTERTHWAITE

Factbook (under construction)
A hereditary nigh-absolute left-leaning monarchy with an easily dissolvable parliamentary system. Sometimes "socialist", most of the time just a welfare state. Atheistic, but tolerant of religions (sometimes). Insanely high taxes. Emperor above all. Vive l'Empereur !

Basically a benevolent dictatorship, but don't tell anyone that.

The months of the year are named in a cardinal manner. That is to say, January in Naurese is literally translated as "first month". The only exceptions to this naming system is November and December, which inherit the names of the last two traditional Naur calendar months, which are translated as "by star" and "by sun". Below are the names of the month in order, followed by their common abbreviations.
