War for Independence (29 - 30 October 2029 AD)

In late 2029, with relations strained to the breaking point, the USSA sent a strike team of 1,000 elite marines to seize the wormhole facility at New Texas. With security forces overwhelmed, the Patriot Commandos unable to fully secure the base, and a massive invasion force enroute, onsite command ordered the wormhole shut down. Unfortunately, the wormhole could not be shut down in a controlled manner due to damage from small arms fire. When the wormhole collapsed, it instantly severed all communication between Universe #912 and Universe Zero, and, a fraction of a second later, destroyed both New Texas and the surrounding communities in a blast resembling a thermonuclear explosion, and moments after that, effectively ended the war, as no surviving personnel trapped on the wrong side of the wormhole were sufficiently uninjured to continue fighting.

By the end of November, the economies of both nations lay in ruins. When contact with Earth was reestablished in 2036, AU912 had nearly fully recovered, although our infrastructure largely relied on hastily manufactured temporary patches, and our banking system was largely based on trading of precious metals on the electronic black market. In the meantime, the USSA had broken up into several independent states. By the end of 2037, all surviving prisoners of war were allowed to emigrate to the nation of their choice.

Since then, AU912 has adapted a strict policy of nonintervention in wars fought outside our jurisdiction, and as a result has fought in no wars for nearly a century.

The Nidraa'chal War (Moonless Age 1082 - c. 1115)

In MA 1082, the Val'Sharess's personal guard, joined by three bloodlines of the ruling Val'Sharen clan and the Dutan'vir clan, set out to punish the rebellious Nidraa'chal clan. The Nidraa'chal employed horriffic magical weapons, turning our people into monstrous zombies worthy of a lovecraftian horror. Soon every clan was calling up every reservist, fortifying their borders, and purging their staff of antiloyalist sympathizers. By the end of the first phase of the war, large regions of Chel'el'sussoloth were in ruins, all remaining Dutan'vir and Nidraa'chal were in hiding, and the Sharen had become a divided clan.

Fighting soon settled down to only occasional minor skirmishes. During this long pause, a new war started between the Vel'Sharen and Val'Sarghress clans. It soon also settled into an uneasy stalemate.

Then, famine and civil war, which was later discovered to been started by the Nidraa'chal, spread like wildfire until it consumed the whole of the nation.

The exact casualties will never be known, but they must have been in the many hundreds of thousands, probably most of those innocent civilians and slaves forced to fight by the Nidraa'chal, slaughtered as a precaution by radical elements within pro-loyalist clans, or lost to inadvertent neglect, starvation, and disease.

The largest war fought by Ravania took place in 2E387 against the nation of Beiluecia as retaliation for the assassination of then Emperor Ravenger XI in 2E385. Under the command of Empress Ravenger XII, daughter of the late Emperor, a march of roughly 3 billion (3,000,000,000) Ravanian ground troops began at the Southern boarder of Beiluecia and over the course of 15 months made their way north. The defending army tried their best to stave back the march but was ultimately felled beneath the over whelming numbers and firepower of the Ravanian forces. This march culminated with the total destruction of the Beiluecian capital. With their leaders dead and government and economy toppled, the lands of Beiluecia were annexed and incorporated into Ravania. It is estimated that the Beiluecian death toll ranged anywhere from 90 to 97% of their total population, or roughly 500 million people, those that remained either fled the nation entirely or were peacefully incorporated into the Ravanian populous.

While this war is most commonly known as The Grand March it is also known by such titles as "The Red March", "The Crimson Trail", and the "The Long Massacre". While universally recognized by the Ryoran governments, Ravania included, as a genocide of the Beiluecian people, Ravania has offered no form of apology or reparations to the remaining peoples in the 112 years since the wars end.

Did you know? It is commonly known that the world wide terrorist organization "A Legion of One" is comprised mainly of surviving Beiluecian descendants and their sympathizers.

Did you know? The Grand March was just that for a number of reasons. At the time, Ravania did not have enough air and ground transport vehicles to carry such a large number of troops across the nation, so once amassed on the boarder the true march began.

Did you know? The Grand March was also the first appearance of the Ravanian war machines that would come to be known as Dorns. In the two years of prep that went behind the massing of the troops, a call went out to all the Sons and Daughters of Ravania, able bodied or not. Those that either suffered from limb loss, paralysis, or other disabling diseases were offered the chance to take part on the front lines as these experimental troops. The process of becoming a Dorn required the removal of the subject's limbs from the shoulders and thighs, and the torso to be grafted in a roughly human sized neural operated humanoid mechanical frame. Boasting improved strength, speed, and durability the Dorn troops proved invaluable to the Ravanian war effort and has become a staple in Ravanian culture in the century since.

Did you know? The Grand March was also the first appearance of Ravania's then top secret war frame known as the Keter Class Titan. Standing at roughly 300 feet tall this hulking iron clad behemoth sported an arsenal larger than that of some of the standing armies of Ryor's lesser nations and insurmountable anti-ground and anti-air capabilities. Lacking the Sanguinite based technologize of todays Keters, the "Redeemer" was only capable of maintaining a near leisurely pace as it strode across the nation as anything else would have compromised the internal structure of the machine due to its size and weight. Though what it lacked in speed, it more than made up for with its sheer intimidation factor.

Due to the fact that the Commonwealth States's military is largely using Cold War era weapons for everything, as it wants to "look cool" and also because the Commonwealth refuses to advance beyond 1950-60s made sure that our glorious military was defeated by the relentless horde of punks. Guerilla Groups and Punks fought amongst the ruins of the Commonwealth, the Punks who were searching for more drugs, and the Patriots who were fighting for the President and His Glory. President Hank the Cat the 25th ordered that all gurillea warfare groups strike the Punk Stronghold, built into a former hidden Nuclear Facility. A combined effort by various Resistance Groups managed to detonate a Nuclear Device located deep inside the base, destroying a large amount of punks within the process. The war officially ended on 2018, as various allies of the Commonwealth sent over troops and supplies to silence the punks, leading to a nationwide campaign to silence the punks, leading to the destruction of the annoying drug-and-pop music obsessed teenagers.
