There is no right to be forgotten in our nation.
We are NOT a theocracy
We are a PMT Middle Eastern nation ruled by Princess Jasmine. (Don't ask how we're a Queendom) Our national population is 22 million and our official religion is Islam. Contrary to belief, we are much more liberal than most other Middle Eastern nations.

Despite Herjtovina and other nations voting against it, Herjtovinians have the right to be forgotten under EU law.

Does Cankristia recognized the right to be forgotten?

Postby Cankristia » Sun Aug 02, 2015 11:13 pm

The "right to be forgotten" as it applies to internet search results is considered censorship and a threat to political transparency. However, provably false claims can be ordered taken down, and non-violent criminals are afforded the same protections as well.

Pro: Private Property, Technocracy, LGBTQA + rights, racial equality, gender equality, BERNIE SANDERS, JILL STEIN, Universal Healthcare, pro-choice, moderate gun control, Free Trade (But under a system not crafted by large corporations)), and an eventual planetary governance.

Con: The Abolishment of Private Property, hardline ideology, homophobia, gender inequality, racism, tax loopholes, Donald Trump, HRC, Isolationism, and prejudice/bigotry in all of its forms.

I have a lot more opinions but those are a few that come to mind immediately.

The new fandom republic citizens don't have a right to be forgotten digitally since that would prohibit the free flow of information on the internet. But there are several colonies where we can arrange a personality wipe and all previous acquaintances would have to act "new" to aforementioned citizen.

Considering that more or less 95% of the population does not have access to internet, there is no use to have a law about being "forgotten". On the contrary - if you live in Kaitjan you are NEVER forgotten. The State keeps a clsoe track of every citizen, and you can bet your butt on that the security services has a file on you somewhere. Nothing is ever forgotten in the People's Republic.
The People's Republic of Kaitjan is a nation most glorious: a totalitarian communist dictatorship set against a backdrop of vast jungles, great rivers and a horribly tropical climate. Kaitjan is renowned for its all-encompassing militarism, rampant xenophobia, isolationist tendencies and a great love for tigers and tiger motifs.

The right to be forgotten is banned due to the Prime Minister interpreting it as censorship.

Just sign a "Amnesiac Form", and all records will be wiped.
The "Re-identification Form", often coupled with it can be used to give a citizen a new identity.

This does not however, erase one of felonies. Non-misdemeanor criminal history will follow a citizen through all erasure attempts and re-identifications.

Most felonies ( Anything but murder, rape, and child molestation ), will disappear from their criminal record ten years after their sentence ends.
