The Ascended Technological Classification Index

Greetings inferior races fellow sapient races! We, the Ascended Empire present to you a new Technological Classification System for your stupid, probably brain dead unique government or filthy peasants closest governing body to fill in and present to us! Using this index, you can put yourself on the list for invasion help better define your nations current technological and military level for future use based on the state of your soon to be dead general populace and also soon to be destroyed military!

Your nation will be indexed in the Ascended Empire ATCS factbook for observation and careful planning for your inevitable demise all to see.

Lets start shall we?

Key-

AT - Ancient Tech: Basically a technology level of the stone age and prior.

PT - Past Tech: A technology level from the Bronze Age all the way up to the early 2000s.

MT - Modern Tech: A level of technology of about 2010 - 2018.

PMT - Post Modern Tech: A technology level that is similar to Modern Tech though more advanced.

FT - Future Tech: Space ships, energy weapons and aliens. Nuff said.

FFT - Far Future Tech: Advanced cybernetics, world building. Basically what the Forerunners do in Halo.

TT - Transcendent Tech: Extremely advanced technology fit for borderline-god race.

PTT - Post Transcendent Tech: Technology so advanced that it seems like magic.

ET - Eldritch Tech: Hard to tell if this is even a type of technology. If so, it's totally indistinguishable from magic. Extremely powerful, unnatural magic that doesn't even belong in the Multiverse at that. Seriously though, it's actually technology.


Threat Levels-

Bacterium: Threat level bacterium is the lowest classification. Species of this level is of no threat to Ascended civilian or military forces.

Badger: Species of this level are of very little threat though may be able to cause harm to ground based military forces.

Hound: More threatening though non the less, not capable of causing any major damage to ground based military forces.

Lion: Capable of putting up a capable fight and may be capable of damaging air based military forces as well as causing major damage to ground based military forces.

Bear: Species is capable of engaging in combat with vessels and is a noticeable threat. Standard colonization fleets may lack the proper equipment to combat such a threat.

Ogre: Species is more than capable of going toe-to-toe with conventional military fleets though will most likely fail. Colonization fleets are not equipped to deal with such an enemy.

Dragon: Species is a great threat to smaller conventional military fleets. Larger military assets are advised to support smaller fleets when needed in confrontation with species.

Demon: Species is our equal in the combat field. All available assets should be mobilized to neutralize this threat as fast as possible.

Warlord: Species is militarily superior to us and should be treated as a priority threat.

Peacekeeper: Despite the name, the species is the highest level of threat next to the theoretical Armageddon level. All available resources and assets should be used to combat this threat. Species can and most likely pursue us into other Universes.

Armageddon: Species is too high of a threat to combat. Advise immediate universal retreat to avoid extinction. Species is probably going to destroy the Universe.


Technology Tiers

Type 1: Non-Sapient
Species that fall into this category are non-sapient wild animals that live on instinct. Species like this are usually tamed and turned into pets. Species is of no threat.

Type 2: Primitive (AT)
Whilst species in this category are sapient, they are exceedingly primitive. Species here haven't developed clothes or might not even have made any sort of advanced language. Rocks and pebbles are the only tools species like this know. Species is of no threat.

Type 3: Ancient (AT)
Species in this category have created basic tools using stones and flint along with clothing and advanced languages. They may be nomadic or be farmers and some may have formed a civilization. Species is of no threat.

Type 4: Pre-Industrial (PT)
By human standards, a species would qualify as Pre-Industrial if they have managed to start civilization, establish a written language and use tools made of anything other than stones. The use of metals such as bronze or iron would start here. Species is of minimal threat.

Type 5: Industrial (PT)
The era of mass production. Species of this era have discovered machines and will support a much higher population. Automobiles, blimps and even planes will start showing up here along with serious scientific advancement. Wars will probably break out more frequently over resources and land. Species is of little threat.

Type 6: Nuclear (PT-MT-PMT)
Species has achieved the ability to use Atomic and Nuclear energy as a form of energy production and/or as a weapon. Satellites, probes and the occasional manned flight will be used by the species to explore celestial bodies within their system. Diseases are mostly eliminated though the species may be stuck in a cold war if they do not cause their own extinction first. Species is mildly threatening.

Type 7: Space Borne (PMT-FT)
Species has discovered efficient sub-light space travel and will travel regularly between celestial bodies in their system. At this point, a Post-Scarcity form of economy can be achieved depending on if species has sufficient advancements in automation. More advanced ballistic weapons and even directed energy weapons will show up here. A form of cybernetic and biological enhancement will start to make a real impact here. Species is moderately threatening.

Type 8: Interstellar (FT)
Species has discovered a form of FTL travel and can travel between the stars. At the highest end of this type, they are extremely accurate though prove to be inaccurate at the lower end. Cybernetics and biological enhancements are extremely common and quite advanced here. E.g. The UNSC from Halo. Species is noticeably threatening.

Type 9: Transapient (FT)
Species have discarded most or all of their biological body and are now a machine. Species will probably be the equivalent of superman in human terms or to an ancient civilization, a god. Species will use directed energy weapons and advanced RKV (Relativity Kill Vehicle) weapons regularity along with accurate and fast FTL travel. Technology at this point will accelerate rapidly. E.g. The Covenant from Halo and the Ceph from Crysis. Species is large threat.

Type 10: Post-Transapient (FFT)
We fall into this category. Species here are highly advanced and have achieved a state of digital immortality (or biological immortality) and no longer have to inhabit a body. They are nearly god like and can create artificial planets, stars, moons and even entire solar systems. FTL travel will be pinpoint and extremely fast. They will be able to manipulate things like Quantum Strings and Foam with ease. Powerful directed energy weapons will be the staple weapon here and species may use highly advanced robots to fight for them. Neuro physics will start becoming a thing here and the species may be able to travel to other universes and dimensions. Species will also be able to create and accelerate the evolution of any other species. E.g. The Forerunners from Halo and Scrin from C&C Tiberium Wars. Species is an extremely large threat.

Type 11: Transcendent (TT)
Species here have become physical gods and would be considered invincible for anyone with lower technology levels than a Post-Transapient race. Species can travel between galaxies, create star systems and will use neuro physics to achieve things things that would break the laws of physics. FTL travel is extremely fast or instant and the species may be able to create entire galaxies. E.g. the Precursors in Halo. Species would be a high priority threat.

Type 12: Post-Transcendent (PTT)
At this point, the species have become a species of gods equivalent to that of the ones in human religions. They will have instant FTL travel and don't require any sort of ship or weapon to fight or move around. They can live outside the bounds of the Multiverse, create universes and dimensions along with destroy them. Species may not even live as part of a civilization anymore at this point and freely roam the Multiverse. e.g. Pagan Gods. Species would be an extremely high priority threat.

Type X: Eldritch God (ET)
The theoretical level of Eldritch God has not been observed as of yet. Eldritch Gods are speculated to be able to destroy and create universes and dimensions with little to no effort. Their existence in any universe or dimension violates all laws of physics and the universe will try and reject them, the only thing keeping them there being their own power. Most species will die or go insane just by looking at them. Their powers and abilities are hard to differentiate between magic and technology even for a Type 11 species. E.g. Lovecraftian Deities, Abrahamic Gods (Christianity, Judaism, Islam etc). If proven to exist, the species would be the highest of priorities as a threat. Nothing else is more intimidating and threatening than an Eldritch God.


Read this or else.

1: Some of you may have the technology to fall into a certain tier such as Transapience though lack many cybernetic or biological enhancements if they even exist. You decide what you have most in common with a technology type.

2: Be reasonable. Just because you have elements of a Type 11 technology tier within your nation doesn't make you so.

3: Fantasy Tech probably won't effect your technology type much. It will however, effect your threat level.

4: Use Novum Alexandria and Ancient Humans as a mediator line for your threat level. It should help if you are confused.

5: The threat level system isn't just how threatening you are to us, but any Post-Transapient civilization.

Extremely advanced FTL-based weaponry and defensive lethal FTLi make attacking nearly risk-free against all but the most advanced of civilizations. Absolute space-time control and near instantaneous reaction times render most Pordish warfleets next to invincible. Civilizations that lack FTLi can be wiped out in mere moments, regardless of size or extent.

Notes: Why bacterium? The Tellurian Hegemony can indeed create and destroy life, have a god-complex the size of Jovian worlds and are stronger-better-faster-smarter... Who give zero shits about conquest, and consider 'war' to be a waste of their time, preferring instead to study and record all cultures and races in creation who they view as while inferior, fleeting, and thus something to be noted, and in an extreme few cases, treasured and defended.

Notes:
Live in a Galactic Home Universe, a Multiversal Empire ruled by Death Himself and his children.
Texcocoans have committed enough Genocides to continue their Ship Naming Conventions, and the fleet is so expansive even the Pords would find it troublesome.
While lacking the effectiveness of the Pordish Craft, due to running off of the same ship designs they had Billions of years ago, the Texcocoans make up for this by being completely insane and genocidal, to the point of wiping out entire, multiversal empires, simply for shooting at trade ships.

Notes: We are a moderately to highly militarized nation that will fight for conquest ad honor. The reason for our arh scale militarization dates back to WWI and WWII when our nation was attacked and gassed by the Solians then durin WWII the same thing happened but with a invasion force that attacked our south. Our Trooper where are our main line infantry are equipped with power armor/combat uniform(that comes only in ditigal urban camo), helmet and gas mask, and a wide array of weapons; Troopers and any soldier of the Empire would rather die then be captured by enemy forces as being captured by the enemy is a sign of weakness, also we are quite religious and cultured. We posses a small amount of space colonies at one time we had alot but the Team Foragers destroy a great deal of them.

Notes: Almost all state affairs are managed by an AI. The populace is brutally suppressed, with a military police and omnipresent surveillance. Despite being of a lower technological power than PTT societies, our vastly intelligent computer systems and massive industrial sector spanning planets makes us the tactical and logistical equal of them.

Technology Type: 11

Threat Level: Bear (Units are practically invincible, but cannot exactly dish out much offensive power, either. So, they are not much of a threat, despite their invulnerability. Additionally, Aeiouia itself is very pacifistic.)

Notes: Approximately 14% of our population, the "Archailects" in our namesake, would easily be classified as Type 12. They run the nation with a very lose rule, and few laws. One of these beings is actually a Type X entity, but she hides and denies this fact, and acts under the facade of being more in line with a Type 11 or 10 lifeform. She therefore is really not much of a threat.

However, a majority of our population (Around 75%) would be classified as Type 11, hence why we have this definition.

As stated before, while most of our citizens are effectively invincible, our offensive abilities in combat are extremely sub-par, and honestly quite pathetic for a nation of our tech level. We can defend, and are nearly impossible to remove, but we are terrible at striking back. This, combined with our pacifism, makes us an extremely minor military threat for our levels of technological development.

Threat Level: To both, I'd say about inbetween Warlord and Peacekeeper since the Empire does this too often to species on a regularity which implies our economy can handle mass production of planet devastating weapons.
Notes:

The Empire of Gamilus has an absurd amount of troops by even our standards, especially when you factor in our technology which in places is all over the shop and usually on the constant advance when on a war footing.
