What do people from other countries think of your nation? And how true are these stereotypes to the reality?

A stereotype of Carabana is that, simply because we are located in Latin America, we are starving, poor, and in political turmoil. Also that because we are communist, we ally with the likes of North Korea, China, and Cuba. This is the complete opposite of reality, we have many farms that supply our nation with food, our economy is prospering, and there are enough resources to go around. Our nation also is not allied with North Korea, China, and Cuba. Actually our people really hate those countries, because they are giving communism a bad reputation.

Generally, foreigners tend to stereotype Zhouranese people as Westernized Asian Mongols. The "Westernized" and the "Asian" are true, but not the "Mongol" part, since the Kangyuli people are part of the Tungusic race.

Also, because Zhouran is Westernized, foreigners tend to call Zhouran "The Europe of Asia." As a result, Zhouran is described as the "least oriental nation in the Orient."

[Austerene]

People think Austerene is all either green hills and snowy mountains or Hi-tech and skyscrapers, big industrialized cities.
They tend to forget we also have many lush forests, mainly in the eastern parts of the country, and also big and small communities suffering from poverty and neglect.

People think our citizens are workaholics, alcoholics, secretly-racist with big homes and comfortable lives, not caring about rest of the world.
While it's true most Austerenese have comfortable lives with private houses in the suburbs, most of them are flat out non-racist. We like to consume Alcohol, that's correct, and we work a lot because that's what our past and our education brings us to do.

Also, contrary to the popular belief, you won't be lynched as a stranger if you come here from Africa, Asia, or the Middle - East.
Racist groups and gangs have gone very quiet since the late 90's, when it was very bad, especially in Southern Austerene. You won't meet them if you won't actively look for them.

Other common stereotypes are: folksy people, religious, castles, full of peasants and nobles, efficient at everything, multilingual to the point that no two persons speak the same language, ponies ruling over humans, very hearty food that is full of meat and bread, beer and wine, don't forget pizza and pasta or pretzels and sausages, people either dress in traditional costume (especially Lederhosen and Drindl), formal military uniforms, or track suits, the nobility is very militarized and crazy, war loving hippies (Free love but not pacifist), and very blunt and serious. Of course, there are strong regional stereotypes, such as stereotypes of Germans, Italians, Hungarians, Slavs, Romanians, etc.

Well, a common stereotype of Gandoor is that we're a communist state with obscenely high tax rates (common reports include "the tax rate is like 80% there!") and that we're allied with countries likes North Korea or Cuba. The truth of the matter is that: Gandoor is not a communist state (completely ignoring the oxymoron there), the official ideology of Gandoor is democratic socialism and the official economic system is market socialism, with the vast majority of companies that are headquartered in Gandoor being either entirely employee-owned-and-operated or cooperatives. (The likely reason for this belief is the fact that one of two major political parties is Gandoor Communist Party, but that's an artifact title and they're supporters of democratic socialism, not communism). In addition, the tax rate is not "80%", it's a progressive tax system and higher income brackets pay more, but the maximum rate is 40%. We will admit that for some nations, that is high, but it's not nearly "80% OF UR MONEY IN GANDOOR GOES TO TEH GUBMENT". Of course, the whole "allied with North Korea and Cuba" thing is a blatantly false stereotype too, considering that Gandoor and Gandoorese people place pride in being a democratic country that gives it's citizens freedoms, we wouldn't even dream of being allied with either country. Also, we don't even recognize North Korea, the Gandoorese government recognizes the Republic of Korea as the sole Korea. (Of course, we also have a strict stance of neutrality in all affairs that has been maintained since the 1920's, so yeah...)

Another stereotype is that everyone in Gandoor speaks Japanese or is Japanese. While the vast majority of the people here do speak it (considering it's one of our official languages), 97% also speaks English, one of our other official languages. And only 34% of the population is of Japanese descent. (That's still the largest ethnic group, but still, it's not "everyone")

Mostly Erroneous, although each individual possesses their own idiosyncrasies and personality attributes, Nordonovians aggregately are a very intellectual, courteous, dignified people who emphasize self-actualization, individuality, and solidarity to the nation. However citizenry generally adhere to a Satanic philosophical tenet "Do unto others as they would do unto you" and have proclivities for what are perceived as unorthodox, most of us do not arbitrarily desire to inflict substantial malevolence or harm upon others unless it is deserved, have profoundly transgressed or are an inconvenient impediment against us/our ambitions.

Nordonovians are a people that expound emphasis on Victorian emulated mannerisms, aesthetics, decorum without the austere sexual conventions. It is often perceived by other nationalities that we dress and speak too extravagantly or formally for everyday endeavors. A Nordonovian could be distinguished quite easily in many countries when travelling abroad. Victorian Gothic and Edwardian styles is immensely popular fashion phenomenon in Nordonovik. Academic, lifestyle, work, etc perseverance, assiduousness, and success are usually held in high esteem and precedence.

The good old "Lansonian Priest" stereotype, that just because the nation itself is heavily religious, all people within it are priestly saints or nuns. While yes, the Lansian Church is state-ran and yes, most members of the nation are registered within it, only a good 63% are heavily religious and actually attend church services on days /other/ than Christmas or Easter. 37% are either of another religion, atheist, or officially a Lansian, but non practicing. Plenty of sin goes on within these borders.

Also, the 'religious state with no civil rights' stereotype. Lansony has high civil rights for people of color and women. Homosexuals cannot legally get married, although if they marry elsewhere, their marriage is recognized as valid in Lansonian borders. Feminism is held in high regard.

A lot of nations stereotype us as a bunch of men-hating radical feminists who are also into bondage. That's not strictly true. We're not a feminist society, just a female-dominated one, and not everyone hates men here, most Bayonettans don't actually hate men, they just think they're lower than females, so they deserve less rights. No comment on the bondage thing though, that's private.

Kiravians are stereotyped as being highly religious, fiercely traditionalist, tribalistic, emotionally frigid, alcoholic, pessimistic, heavily-armed, and xenophobic.

Kiravian women are stereotyped as homogeneously red-haired, light-eyed, thin, pale, and beautiful, while Kiravian men are stereotyped as tall, full-bearded, grumpy, and alcoholic.

All of these stereotypes are pretty accurate.

They think we're a dictatorial hellhole, a failed social experiment and a tyrannical regime that executes dissenters. They say that our people are starving, and that our military is full of outdated vehicles and rifles.

They are very wrong. We are a very democratic country, our Glorious Agrarian People's Revolution has been a huge success and dangerous people (NOT dissenters) are only killed if they cannot be turned into useful members of society. Our military is also very high-tech, and while we have a lot of cold war equipment invading our small nation is a bad idea. The People are very well-fed too.

Most tend to believe that the PTFS forcefully assimilates foreigners into transhumans, while this is completely goddamn false as we assemble transhumans ourselves. As long as you aren't Singaporean, you aren't forced to get an augmentation.
