The Deputy Prime Minister is not a permanent position, and only exists at the discretion of the Prime Minister. The Current Deputy Prime Minister of the Minister of Finance, Nicholas Sorensen, since May 3rd, 2013. He is the first Deputy Prime Minister since 1956.

The Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the Chancellor after the Chancellor is elected, and can be dismissed at any time by the Chancellor.
