Is English an official language in your nation (de facto or de jure)?
Non. The French Democratic People's Republic of Cannabis speaks French as an official language.

Which type of English (American, British, etc) is most commonly spoken?
It is illegal to speak English here unless you are a diplomat or government interpreter. They usually learn British English.

How many native speakers of English does your nation have?
None. Everyone speaks French as their native language.

How much is English taught in your nation's schools?
English is not taught in Cannabisian schools. Most students learn Spanish as a second language.

Do your nation's citizens understand enough English to have conversations in English?
Most Cannabisian citizens have never seen or heard any English in their lives, so they will not understand it at all. Cannabisians who travel to other countries a lot may pick up some English words. But even if they know English, they will refuse to speak it, and answer in French.

Is English language media widely available?
Cannabisian law requires all media and literature must be in the official language of the nation, which is French. So the only way Cannabisian citizens can obtain English materials is by smuggling them in.

Is English an official language in your nation (de facto or de jure)?

No.

Which type of English (American, British, etc) is most commonly spoken?

British English is taught in Brellachi language schools.

How many native speakers of English does your nation have?

None.

How much is English taught in your nation's schools?

It is taught as a specialist subject in a handful of Her Places of Learning. Only people intent on entering a political or business career tend to study it, and only a fraction of a percentage of Brellachi claim to speak it fluently.

Do your nation's citizens understand enough English to have conversations in English?

English is not widely spoken. Where it is spoken, however, it is usually as a result of an advanced language course, and so is spoken reasonably well. Brellachi and English do not translate easily into each other, however, and Brellachi find it difficult to speak English without sounding disjointed or unusually descriptive.
