Not an expert either, but quick wikipedia search states that the average speed of an ICBM is 7 000km/s. Escape velocity is 7 900 km/s.

Escape velocity is not 7900km/s. It's about 11km/s from the surface.

40,000km/s is still a ridiculous speed (although the question may have been about "kms" - kilometres, range - rather than km/s) but you're definitely using kilometres where you should be using metres.

with that range it would basically be a FOBS system. It's where you put a warhead into low earth orbit and then de-orbit over the intended target. Range is effectively infinite but the extra delta V required to put a payload into orbit will cut your throw weight roughly in half compared to a missile following a purely ballistic trajectory.

Why equipping your mecha with rifles if they don't do any damage on impact as in picture two. Why having hands on armor when you can more easily build your weapons in. Why have two legs when you need three contact points with the ground to have a stable platform. Why having a human shaped fighting robot, as it is in nature the worst shape when it comes to fighting.

When fighting an enemy with similar ressources and technology, mechas would lose anytime and cost an arm and a leg to produce and maintain. But in the other hand, the rule of cool applies in full force on them

I'm asking because I want to try an scale and have no idea which is generally the best by most people. I know what I want to do, I know how, I just wish to know what scales are generally common so I at least follow a general scale most people use instead of being the only special snowflake using his own weird 1.4632456 cm = 1 pixel scale

1 pixel : 1 cm might be good if you find JG too small

Besides, what argument would anyone have against the creation of such a unit ? It makes sense at many level from state perspective. Most country would be reluctant to the idea of connecting reinforced wooden clubs to their babies' skulls, but it is part of Damethian culture to like violence and brutal irony. We fill an insane number of international quotas with these guys, and we have given them jobs only them can do.
