POLITICAL PARTIES:
- The Renmindang (People's Party)
The Renmindang was the lesser part of the ruling coalition of the last Imperial Assembly - thrown out due to Lack of Confidence. The Renmindang is the oldest political party ever since the political reforms made by the Yangguan Emperor in the last 19th and early 20th Century, and it bears the legacy of being the party of Sun Yat-Sen, the first elected Prime Minister of China. The party's legacy still holds strong in China, but even though most Renmindang ministers were in opposition to the causes which caused the Lack of Confidence voting, some are starting to lose faith in the Renmindang - although there is still hope - as many people are happy that along with the declaration of the Lack of Confidence, the major party of the former Ruling Coalition has ceased to exist after the former Prime Minister disbanded the party. The party is center-right on the spectrum, and supports accepting more financial opportunities with businesses - as well as keeping the currently worker laws. They support keeping the current support for the Military, and believes that the situation of the Military is in good standing. The party is also in support of reforming the 3 autonomous city-states of Ryojun, Macau, and Hong Kong into full provinces of the Empire, and holding a more aggressive foreign policy... - The Minzhudang (Democratic Party)
The Minzhudang was the official opposition of the Imperial Assembly. The modern Minzhudang is a combination of the Ziyoudang (Liberty Party), the Shehuidang (Socialist Party), and the old Minzhudang - and the 3 parties were combined in the mid 50s as the Chinese Empire was leaning towards the Non-Aligned Movement after a very unpopular decision to join into the Korean War. The Party might not have the legacy of Sun Yat-Sen, but they are seen as a more-favourable party by some, and if they win the election, they might as well shape not only China's destiny, but shape their own destiny - their own Legacy. The party covers the range from the center-left to the full left, but the party is mostly filled with Social Democrats. The party believes in increasing the rights of workers, the rights of the press, increase freedom of religion, reforming or even abolishing the conscription system, and the continued support of the autonomy of the autonomous city states. The party does believe in being a force in foreign policy, but they hold a slightly less violent and calmer force. A force which some say to be like the forces of Heaven, which has kept China in check for thousands of years...
