What is the RolePlay Map?
This is a very excellent and very over used question. Luckily, that means I have a pretty solid answer. The RolePlay map is almost the exact same thing as the regular map, but with different borders and some different requirements and obligations. Basically, we live in such a diverse region that people have different definitions of "fun" in NationStates. Some people find it "fun" to invade other nations and fight in wars, while some other people find it "fun" for natural disasters. Well guess what? This map are for your Roleplaying needs. This map will let you change the borders of your nation, invade other nations, start natural disasters for your nation, and you'll have no hassle of people who don't want to do it. Why? The RolePlay map only consists of nations who agree to certain obligations!
The Obligations
1. You can be invaded.
2. You can invade!
3. You can have natural disasters and have it adjust the shape of your nation.
4. You must recognize the borders of other nations.
5. You must accept when you lost a battle.
Changing the normal map?
YES! The purpose of the normal map is for representation mostly, but guess what? It can be affected by RP too? But how? Let me tell you so you can stop asking questions! Let's say that...let's create a random example. We have two wonderful technologically advanced nations who both are complete jerks. Let's see....yes! The first nation is The Republic of Turkey and the second nation is The Empire of Chickens. The Republic of Turkey feels left out because everyone likes The Empire of Chicken, so Turkey creates some nice little bombs and declares war on The Empire of Chickens. It was a very heated war that left both parties a little burned. A lovely feast of RolePlay if you ask me. Anyway, naturally Chicken makes a comeback and destroys The Republic of Turkey. (I know. Plot Twist. I didn't see it coming either). The RolePlay map gets adjusted to show the impact of the war, but they want the same results posted on the normal map, so they both telegram Lindenholt and fill out a lovely application on his forum, and BAM! The borders get adjusted on the normal map too.
JOINING THE MAP
As you can see, it is pretty much the same as the normal map, but that should change soon. You see, humans are complete jerks and I just basically gave the green flag for full out war, so borders should change. Everyone is on the map, so if you don't want to be obligated to the above obligations you should telegram me and I'll erase your nation! Now on a more serious note. Here is the application. Under the section "New Spot," this can mean quite a bit of things. If you invaded a piece land, then just put down the number, name of nation, or describe the part you won. If you just want to change the shape of your nation then just paste the link to the new shape and I'll fix it.

Yes. You need to answer Turkey or Chicken. If you don't I swear I will not even consider your application.
All of the nations involved with the new expansion of your nation must be listed. They will receive a wonderful telegram from me making sure they agree. If they don't, then I'll look at the RP, and both sides will present argument and I'll be God and decide if the expansion will occur!

Okay, so an issue has been brought to my attention regarding the RP map and the plethora of empty spots. A few arguments and solutions have found their way to my ears, so I'm creating my final verdict. If you would like to add puppets that you do or have the possibility of roleplaying with you may add a few, within exception, to the map. If, however, I feel like the total size of your nation is expanding too much I will not allow you to post more puppets. At the moment I am trying to make the map look sort of realistic and just simply deleting the empty spots and making them unaccessible is not a fair method. Empty spots may be used for the following purposes:
1. Traveling
2. Temporary military bases
3. Refugee camps
4. Battlefields
5. Other if you have my approval.
All of the above cases are only used for the roleplay. No one will be able to claim the spots unless they fill out an application on mine and Lindenholt's map. Let's say you are on a military campaign and you are marching to a nation. You may include in your RP that you are spending a few days in spot 125, example, for your troops to rest, or etc. This does not mean that you may claim the spot. Claims can only be made during a victory or by proper application method.
Putting this all in mind, it is up to Lindenholt if he will let you post more puppets on the normal regional map, but for the sake of the RP map I'm in charge of it, and I'll allow map spots for puppets within reason just to add some more nations to the map to make the RP more fun. Thank you.
Okay, have fun young grasshoppers. hahaha telegram me with any questions.
