Other Information (Optional): A lot of paranormal stuff's been going on around the school. A handful of students, after they perform a certain ritual, are reportedly transported to another dimension, into an run-down school called "Sjuttiotvå Spriter High School" (here is a sneak peek of the interior of "Sjuttiotvå Spriter High School", except it's darker). While most return, "Sjuttiotvå Spriter High School" contains many unholy and evil spirits. The most prominent student who visited "Sjuttiotvå Spriter High School" is a girl named Naoko Nakahara (currently a junior). Also, a sinister tower, claimed to be filled with shadowy monsters, appears on the school by midnight, and when that tower appears, time stops for an hour (the tower looks like this). After that hour, the tower disappears. Some students, particularly those who have the ability of retaining one or more non-mamono familiars (the former is rare, and the latter, even rarer), are able to enter that tower. The most prominent of these students is a kejourou named Mika Tsurugi (aka Ojou-sama, graduated 2010). That aside, despite these, the school remains prestigious.

I use Monster Girl Encyclopedia (although set on modern time) as a medium for roleplay (my nation is not limited to it, though). I am an MT nation (set in today), with experimental and a few functioning PMT technology. My nation is when Sweden smokes much weed, takes much LSD, takes up more arms than normal, and dates a monster girl (mamono).

Name of School: HRU (Honourable Royal University) High School #9, North Sea
Name of Headteacher/Principal: Wes Ellsworth
Type of School (Comprehensive/Primary/Elementary/Preschool/Etc): High school
Type of School (Private/Boarding/Public/Etc): Public
Type of School (Sports/Military/Gifted/Religious/Etc): General/Interdisciplinary
Enrollment: 5,439 (morning shift); 5,267 (afternoon shift)
Location of School: 79 Harrison Lane, Marylsborough WD, North Sea SD, Royal District.
Fees (If Applicable): O£500 a semester (Compared to O£4000 a month in private high schools; Students living in a household with an income of O£1000 per month or less don’t have to pay a single penny)
Language: The basic learning plan is in English, with mandatory Japanese lessons, and optional Fonnish and Ostish "reinforcement" lessons (students should have at least a moderate knowledge of both languages by this point). Optional lessons of other languages are also available.
Days Open: Monday to Saturday.
Hours Open: Monday to Friday 0600 to 2100 (classes from 07100 to 1310 [morning shift] and 1330 to 1940 [afternoon shift]). Saturday 0800 to 1800. Saturdays are mostly for optional classes, club activities, or ‘third opportunity’ courses (information about this last one will be expanded below).
Boys/Girls/Co-ed/Other: Mixed gender (Co-ed)
Ages Enrolled:~15 to 19.

Is there a School Uniform/Dress Code?: Yes
If Yes, describe: Men: white shirts with the HRU emblem, an optional navy blue sweater vest (also with the HRU emblem), dark navy tartan neckties and plain grey trousers, and black shoes. Women: white HRU shirts, an optional navy blue HRU sweater vest, dark navy string bowties and grey tartan short skirts, worn with white knee-high socks and black shoes. Headgear and non-prescribed glasses cannot be worn during classes. Men must shave regularly. No tattoos, no piercings. All students are advised to apply "common sense" to their hairstyles (nothing too over the top, nothing too messy).
Is there a PE Uniform?: Yes
If Yes, describe: For both genders: white cotton shirts with the HRU emblem, worn with dark navy polyester shorts, white crew socks, and trainers of any colour.
How strict is the school about School Uniform/Dress Code?: Pretty fair. Students are allowed to wear different outfits for religious reasons, and every once in a while students are allowed to wear normal outwear, like during bank holidays. Students are also allowed to wear their favourite football team’s shirt if their team will play a derby match that day, and they’re allowed to get dressed in costumes for Halloween. On cold days, students can wear official HRU jackets or bring their own, and women may wear grey trousers or longer skirts if they prefer.
What punishments are there for infractions?: Usually, students are just given a warning if they fail to wear the appropriate apparel. However too many warnings can result in an 'indiscipline report'.

Average Class Size: ~36 students
Mixed or Segregated (By Gender/Ability/Behaviour/Etc): Mixed gender, randomly assigned to their classrooms. Students usually don't switch their classrooms except for their "mandatory elective subjects" or extracurricular lessons. Teachers move from class to class instead.
How strict is the school about behaviour in the classroom?: Students are expected to respect each other and the teacher. If there's not a teacher in a classroom, students are free to move in and out their classroom, although a monitor is usually around to check on the students.
How do teachers discipline?: They ask for silence; sometimes they may shut them up, but always trying to keep their manners. If a student disobeys a teacher, or breaks any other rule, the student may be warned or given an 'indiscipline report'. Three reports lead to suspension, which varies depending on the gravity of the offences. (ie. a student who got his or her reports for sleeping in class or for not wearing his or her uniform usually gets a day or two; students caught in romantic activities inside a classroom or blatantly disobeying a teacher over a minor matter get five; students caught bullying someone, cheating on exams and homework or insulting a teacher can result on up to two weeks of suspension or even expulsion).

Academic Subjects Taught: English, Literature, Law, History, Geography, Art Appreciation, Philosophy, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Information Technologies (all mandatory)
Creative Subjects Taught: Visual Arts, Drama, Music, Fiction Writing, Public Speaking (all optional); Journalism, Carpentry (elective)
Vocational Subjects Taught: Business Management, Language Etymology, International Relations, Advanced Maths, Botany, Programming, Mechanics, Cooking, Gardening (all elective)
Other Subjects Taught: Foreign culture (Western and Eastern)
Are different subjects taught by different teachers?: Yes
PE Options Offered: Football (soccer), rugby, volleyball, basketball, swimming, badminton, chess.
Music Options Offered: Guitar, piano, drums, brass, wind, strings
Languages Taught: Japanese (mandatory), Ostish, Fonnish, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Mandarin Chinese (optional).
Other Extra Curricular Activities: There are several student-operated clubs about any topic one can think about (as long as it’s nothing offensive or politically incorrect). They’re completely optional, although students are strongly encouraged to join one, especially if they’re about an academic or sport matter, since they can help in the future career of the student. Most of the clubs’ meetings are held on Saturdays, though they can technically be held on any day (some clubs can and do hold meetings every day, although they’re usually shorter than Saturday meetings). Clubs participate in school festivals and other events, where they show what they’re about (Music club members perform songs on-stage, Football club members play a couple of matches, Cooking club members make food for the guests, and so on), and may also help the community with some social service. Clubs often form ‘alliances’ with clubs in other high schools and even with clubs from university level; graduated club members usually continue being good friends with each other and may pay visit to their former school to see how well are the next generations doing with their club. “Once you’re member of a club, you’re always part of it, no matter what”, is a common saying in schools.
Qualifications Offered: Secondary education diploma.
Pass grade (Grade C Or Above): A minimum of 70% on every subject. If a student fails a subject, they have to take a second opportunity exam. If a student fails it, he or she has to attend a special third opportunity course on Saturdays during their next semester, ending on another exam. Failing a third time grants a last fourth opportunity exam, without a course; this time, failing the exam means that the student will not be able to graduate in a HRU high school, and will have to resume his studies somewhere else.

Other Information (Optional):
F&O has a variation of the K-12 grade educational system. Kindergarten, known as preschool, lasts between 2 and 3 years (the first year is optional); grades 1 to 6 are taken in primary schools, and 7 to 9 in middle schools. High school consists of 10, 11 and 12 grades; however, these are divided into six ‘semesters’ (which actually last about 4 months each, not 6).
In order to gain admission to a high school, passing an admission test is necessary. The minimum grade needed to gain admission in most high schools is between 70% and 75%; HRU #9 needs a minimum 82.5% grade, making it one of the hardest to get admitted into, but this is compensated with more modern infrastructure and resources, and generally better qualified teachers.
Most high schools in the Union are actually part of a university. In this case HRU #9 is part of the Honourable Royal University high school system. There are 41 HRU high schools, all of them located near or in the Royal District; there are approximately 123,000 teenagers studying in HRU high schools.
Of course, in other shires, there are high schools operated by other universities, both public and private; for example, most high schools in Osteyon City are operated either by the Catholic Autonomous University of Osteyon (known as the CAU, actually a public university), or the Northern Union University (the NU, a private one).
There are also several public and private independent high schools, which are not operated by a university. And while some private independent high schools maintain a level comparable to university-operated ones (sometimes even better), most of them, along with most other public independent ones, cater to drop-outs who want to continue their studies, or even people who just need a high school diploma to secure an specific job.
Studying in a university-operated high school has the advantage of making the college-admission process much easier and cheaper; this is because high school graduates are already counted as enrolled students in the university their high school corresponds to. Thus, entrance fees are lower, and students see very little, if any, bureaucratic red tape.

CANON UPDATE (OOC):
I have given this a lot of thought and I have decided to do some major changes to the Walosian History Canon.

The largest change that I will be doing is the removal of the “Walosian-Khelsharian War of 2009” and the following abdication of Empress Liat as well as the removal of the character Liat completely. The reason why is because I have developed my nation into a more realistic fashion during the 2014-2015 era and after reviewing older post I see that the war and abdication of Liat is both unrealistic, doesn’t fit with the overall nation and is simply unprofessional.
