The Gamla Uppsala district of Greater Uppsala. As the spiritual center where the Gods visit every year so do the honest dead!
As to the Vote; this is a public place that people flock too in search of the supernatural experience

Sit 'round, chilluns, and let Uncle Lavan tell thee a story.

The Ket House. Infamous home of the Ket clan, especially Noket Daf, the Murder-King of Molaan. In 1923, No went on a brutal, three-year rampage, using a Dark Beacon and Black Magic to summon daemons, who would capture young boys and bring them to his ancestral home. In his home, he worked from simply jabbing pins in their feet to skinning and dissecting children. In 1926, he was sloppy, and left his Dark Beacon in an alley. Using a team of seraphim, the authorities tracked No to Ket House, resulting in a three-hour battle. Even today, though, No's spirit wanders the Halls of Ket House, waiting

Underneath Drachsen, there is an abandoned network of tunnels known as the Pigeon's Way. It was here that soldiers have fled when the Gallidian armies have overrun the country.

There are no source of light in these seemingly endless passageways, convenient or otherwise and many soldiers who fled into these dark tunnels during the war never emerged again. It is said in urban legends that soldiers who fled here got lost in the cold, dark tunnels and were forever damned to roam the passageways. Horrid revenants. Their bodies wrought by their cowardly souls have left them disfigured and empty of essence as they roam the wide network of passages aimlessly.

It has been seven decades and in that span, thousands of people who attempted to explore or map the tunnels disappeared, never to be found again. Mainstream speculation is that these people lost their way deep into the chasm when their flashlights or lamps ran out of power and rendered them unable to make their way back due to the darkness or they might have been killed or incapacitated when a part of the tunnel collapsed, maiming them or trapping them.

To this day, it is said that when you go to the entrance of the tunnels and press your ears to the holes in the metal door, you can hear the screams and crying of the souls that are trapped there, unaware of their death and eternally groping in the dark trying to make their way out.

The government has since then sealed off the area and a squad of security has been patrolling the vicinity ever since. Most of the guards have saved a lot of lives by simply telling off and hindering anyone from entering, especially groups of teenagers who try to enter on a dare. But stories of another entrance have circulated within the community, but there has been no evidence yielded by sanctioned investigators whatsoever.

The scariest place in Esalonia is an abandoned 10-square-mile town called Nassei. It housed 6,000 prisoners-all of whom are subjected to experiments concerning "mass-attack" weaponry-which includes what Esalonia uses in its armory today, the Sarin-XY (20x more potent than Sarin). It was even the site of a WW2 escape town, with many people starving. During the Esao Revolution that toppled the brutal dictatorial regime before the Esalonian Republic, the place was closed down. Noe, it's a haunted place, with visitors that go in, go out barely alive.

Second up in the list is Ross Castle, a 17th-century fort. Nobody knows why it's haunted, or how it got haunted, but symbols associated to witch cults appear every now and then. 10% of the tourists that go there, never go out. Witches are to be blamed, and "Witch Hunters"-imports from the CUTTHROATs of the Esalonian Defense Bureau, now hunt for the witches.

Fort Gritzen was the sight of a horrific battle where 12,000 men lost their lives during the syldavia-morgarian war of 1868 some say that when the moon is out on the anniversary of the battle you can see the deceased combatants still fighting in a never ending battle of yore.

The remains of a temple in suburban Misrata that was reported to be a place for cultists and satanists to perform various mysterious rituals and ceremonies. People claim that they have saw/heard the devil and his servants when in the temple. There are also cries of babies and various mysterious sounds that frighten some people. It was later destroyed in an air strike, but the pilot from the country that launched it mysteriously experienced bad luck and died in a plane crash.

One of Mallaska's most "Haunted" places was the estate of wealthy proprietor and veteran General Floyd M. Casbain, a noble of the Mallaskan Monarchy in 1763. His estate was a stretch of remote land in the Northern Mountains awarded to him by King Horace II as his reward for service to the Crown's Army. The estate was notable for its elaborate and stylish construction, with the third-largest manor in the nation at the time, with the main homestead, guest home, guard's house, stables, pathways, and stone fencing around the property.

General Casbain was a veteran of the First Colonial War in 1738, the bloodiest conflict involving Mallaskans until the 20th century. It was said that Casbain showed signs of what would be considered PTSD today, and often lashed out in anger to his family consisting of his wife and 5 daughters. Diary entries by the family stated that Casbain constantly raped and beat his family, mostly due to hatred held against his wife's inability to produce him a son, which prompted a final spat of anger which lead to his wife writing to Colonel Jacob Bates of the local Provincial Militia, begging him to march his regiment to the manor.

Colonel Bates accepted the request, and marched 65 Fencibles personally to the manor, which was confronted by Casbain's personal guard contingent of 26 men and Casbain himself. After demanding that the family be surrendered to him, Casbain became furious and shot Colonel Bates dead with a pistol, prompting Bates' men to engage Casbain's guard. During the skirmish, Casbain told his guards to hold against the Fencibles as best as he could, whisking his family into the house. Inside, Casbain personally flayed all six women with his own officer's sword in rage, disembodying each woman. When the Fencibles broke Casbain's guard, they rushed into the house to find the family dead, and captured Casbain as he beheaded his wife Lauren Casbain. General Casbain was ordered shot by the Lieutenant of the Fencible unit soon after in the yard of the manor.

After Casbain's death, the manor fell into disuse but was still structurally sound by 1824, when the Casbain Cult took refuge in the property, which was now nearly forgotten by all but a few. The cult was known to abduct and slaughter innocent travelers in the area, mostly by removing their internal organs - and promptly eating them.

Few dared to wander near the property, as it was already considered cursed, though the Cult was not known of. However, disappearances in the area soon prompted the Provincial Governor to dispatch the Provincial Militia to investigate. A regiment of 64 Fencibles searched the property and took refuge there for one week in the old guard barracks, straying away from the main house. Fencibles noted chanting, eerie singing, and screaming almost nightly, while seeing figures dressed in white in the windows at times, covered in blood. After several Fencibles went missing during patrols, the colonel of the regiment ordered an assault on the house during the night. As chanting started, the regiment surrounded the home and promptly unloaded a volley into the house. This only prompted another strange event, which involved returning gunfire heard from the distance at the gate of the property. It heard as if a line battle was taking place, with musket shots booming and men screaming in agony, though there was no actual fight. This was believed to be a ghost of men in the original confrontation.

The house was considered clear, though among the surviving 57 Fencibles, 18 committed suicide days later upon returning home. The property was left derelict until 1936, in this time in a true state of disrepair. Purchased by proprietor Jason Faston, he had hopes to restore the home. He hired a group of builders to help in restoration, only to have them complain of constant screaming, supposedly seeing apparitions, slashing of blades, hearing gunfire near the home, and tools being moved about and various objects seemingly thrown. The team soon quit and left, leaving Faston alone on the property. His body was found one week later by a parcel courier, whom investigated the home upon seeing blood splattered on one window. Faston's decomposing body was found within the room, his body cut open and innards removed.

The property was considered condemned and no further visitation was allowed. By this time, the property had gained national status as the scariest location in the nation, and garnered much attention from prying eyes. To combat illicit actions in the area, the Provincial Militia made regular patrols. Often reporting the same findings of previous occupants to the area.

Recently in July of 2014, it seemed that the Casbain Cult had returned to the property on the sly. With the grip of the militia loosened after the land fell again into obscurity, the Cult had begun its ghoulish activities once more. After reports by nearby residents of three disappeared citizens, the National Police issued a warrant to search the land by force. A task force of police Rangers (Essentially Mallaskan rural SWAT) and Provincial Militia arrived at the property in force, apprehending 6 Cultist alive, and finding 7 more committed suicide beforehand. Eight Police Rangers were killed under mysterious circumstances during the raid, though only 5 were killed by Cultists. The other three were seen killed while clearing one room-The room which Casbain killed his family, and supposedly where Casbain was killed. Body cameras on the three dead officers all recorded an apparition before them, which picked threw them into the brick walls of the room with ease, all with a horrid scream heard throughout the property, of a man supposedly exclaiming "LEAVE MY HOME!" before killing the Rangers. After the death of the officers, the Rangers and militia were order to fall back to the unit's vehicles, two of which being Land Rover Wolfs of the Militia, which were subsequently ordered to simply fire at the house until it no longer stood. The M2HBs of the vehicles chewed at the house until ammunition was expended, then which the militia was ordered to fire their rifles into the house. The next day, approval was acquired to demolish the property through "Unconventional means", which simply turned the entire property into a weapons range for Air Guard bombers and strike aircraft.

The property no longer stands, now all that is left being several craters. No pictures that exist have been released by the public, however the footage from the body cameras of the deceased officers were leaked and caused a national craze around the lore of the home.

The most known place for "Ghost" activity are the ruins of the city of Mirtus. The city of Mirtus is what archeologists and historians assume was the capital of the ancient Fidelian empire, which stretched across Equusia, and originally united the country. The city itself is a spectacular sight, it was built into the sides a large canyon, which ends at its capital building, towering high over the white stone entrances that lead into the caverns where most of the housing used to be... However, inside the caverns and hallways of the city lie skeletons of men, women and children, huddled in groups, many of which have smashed bones, some are in armor, but most seem to have died in civilian clothes. Most of the entrances to the caverns have been closed, pathways destroyed and classified as a historical memorial, but some have been left open for the the brave souls who decide to venture into the caverns and hallways of Mirtus... most come out with stories of children screaming from blocked off hallways, smashing sounds around them and some claiming to have seen what appears to be a women with her clothes rotton, no eyes and skin with deep, cracked ridges looking as dry as sand who has been named "The nanny of the caverns."

In the northern province, people claim that a portion of the forests are haunted. Since independence, around 10 people have disappeared in the forests, returning to haunt the living. People say that they are warning people to go in the forests.

Aside from that, our nation isn't really that popular for haunted sights.

Crown Island's most infamous place for hauntings is the Parliament building, St Eustacius's Palace. It became the Parliament in 1786, however before that it was built by the monarch of the day, Mad Albert as he is commonly known to most Crown Islanders. He built the Palace in 1623, half a royal palace and half a fortress. It is believed that during the building of the thick walls that surround the Palace, Emperor Albert ordered that one prisoner from the war of the previous war be hung over the wall and dis-embowled for every 5 yards. Many believe that this was his revenge against the Natives of what is now The Colony of the Upperhill Mountains for their slaughter of two thousand women and children in cold blood as they slept. After the men were dis-embowled the prisoners were then roasted over a fire, they were then decapitated whilst in pain from being roasted, after that they were dropped into the wall. At the time the wall was referred to as "The Wall of the dead". Ironically, Mad Emperor Albert's heir, Queen Mary II who despised him, had his body interred in the wall, and prohibited that any marker be placed as to his whereabouts within.
The wall has been the place of burial now for many famous criminals, mass murderers, conmen, cat thieves etc. It had almost turned into a reward for your misdeeds in life, however no mark was left as to where you were buried, your name was left carved into the wall of the dead, interestingly enough, all of the native prisoners who were executed in this fashion are mentioned on this wall, however they bear no names, all that is said is the amount that died and the dates on which they died. Over the years many sightings of ghosts were reported. The first hand-written account of a report was in 1892, in a complaint to the police, a one Mister Eric O' Neill says that a man with flaxen hair, blue eyes, and wearing 15th century style clothes robbed him of 4 Pounds. The police believed this to be a robbery by a museum worker who was stupid enough to wear his clothes to a robbery, however there had been no 15th century exhibition in any of the museums of Crown Island, mainly due to the fact that they had only been founded in 1889. They also reported that no plans for the said exhibition were upcoming. The man returned home and found the missing money in his pocket, which had been checked by both the police and himself thrice.
In a documentary about New London, they began filming Parliament, both at night and day for their opening scenes. What they saw would amaze them, at around half past midnight, soldiers from the 17th century could be seen dragging natives of the colonies to the walls, they ascended into the air to the top of the wall and appeared to hang him, they carried out the procedure and then cut his limbs off and finished him off with his decapitation. All in all this lasted about 15 minutes, these 15 minutes are the most strange images that have ever been recorded in Crown Island.
Crown Island has many other famous haunted areas, the Royal Woods, the field of Slaughter just outside the village of Dunengin and the Imperial Palace is also said to be haunted, with many mysterious goings on in the house unexplained.

The most haunted place in Vetalia is Zolotoi Vetalia, a claimed island off the coast of Victoria, the former homeland of British Londinium. Built as a tourist haven, it became a military base as relations deteriorated between the alliance of Vetalia and British Londinium and the Freeks and Crimm. On that fateful day when the final attack occurred we all launched our weapons, Vetalia launching its biological agents, the PSR-BL launching its nuclear, but all was lost,

Zolotoi Vetalia's fate was sealed when Victoria was destroyed...Zolotoi was not a direct target but received a lethal dose of radiation from the weapons that annihilated Victoria. Hundreds of thousands died on the isle as the effects of radiation sickness set in, there were a few who could flee but reached Vetalian soil very sick. Regardless, Zolotoi Vetalia was dead. A whole city of abandoned buildings and rusting cars...

The paranormal phenomena started within a year of the destruction. Cargo ships with ethnically Vetalian, Londinian or Confederate crews were aided by the entities, often giving them aid on the proper way to go were aided by dreams and apparitions of Zolotoi Vetalia inhabitants, usually with friendly advice regarding future navigation hazards. Strange gifts such as cartons of cigarettes and blocks of cheese were also found.

It is customary among Vetalian sailors to toss a carton of cigarettes in a waterproof container overboard when passing Zolotoi Vetalia

The entire country is reportedly haunted, from the silent capital of Zhyciettya, which has been abandoned because of a nuclear power plant explosion a few miles away, to the town of Północ Misto, where a disgruntled laid off citizen killed the rest of the town and himself.
Lore/backstory being remade.

Hauntings are a trick real-estate developers play on ignorant yokels, by installing infrasound projectors in nearby buildings to make the yokels believe their place is haunted, so that they will sell their now haunted properties cheaply to the developers. There are no such things as ghosts.

A dilapidated house in the countryside. Crazed redneck Bucephelus Johnson, on bath salts, shot and possible raped his family members. The massacre ended when he accidentally fell onto a meat hook, impaling him through his eye. He was then stuck there, and screaming in pain, he tried to shoot himself with his shotgun, but due to the loss of motor functioning, he could only lift it high enough to reach his stomach, which is where he shot himself. Some sensationalist people say one can hear the screams of Bucephelus and his family in there, but this is obviously bullshit, since ghosts don't exist. Some people still believe in it.

There's also a story floating around about a humanoid cryptid attacking lone people wandering on a certain country road, jumping at them or their car from a tree. This may be true, as the cryptid could just be a crazy covered-up hobo on angel dust.
This country is supposed to be called Meadow, without an 's', but the name was unavailable.

Mount Buana, a place which used to be a military camp. Each year, 7th graders from the Laboratory School makes a 2-night visit there, which is a school program. One year, however, strange things happened at the mountain. At the first night, one of the students went to the bathroom, just outside the house they stayed on. Before he went to the bathroom, he told his friends that's still awake, that he's gonna go take a pee. However, in the next morning, he was nowhere to be found. The students panicked, but the teachers and military personnel tried to keep them calm. The military personnel did a search to find him. That afternoon, the students go to do things like crawling through the mud, riding flying foxes, etc.

It was almost time to do lunch, and one student still haven't finished the last ride. Her friend couldn't be patient, and then runs off to camp. The student that was left behind was never to be seen again. After lunch, the students panicked again. That night, each house is guarded by 1 military personnel. In the morning, one of the students wake up a bit early, just before dawn. He walks out of the house, but notices that the floor is wet, and it doesn't feel like water. When he turns on the light, he screams loud enough to make the entire house wake up. The military personnel guarding the house has been mutilated. The field trip is ended early because of this.

Later investigations by the police and the military found the 2 dead bodies of the boy who went to the toilet on the first night, and the girl who was last seen riding the flying fox. The military camp is abandoned years later, for unrelated reasons. The killer is never found. People visiting the mountain reported hearing footsteps that's not theirs when they climb the long stairway to the camp. They also hear children's screams at the camp, and the sound of a neck being snapped. There have been no reported murders at the abandoned camp. Some say the killer still lurks at the camp, waiting for his/her next victim to come.

Another place that's considered scary is the northern part of Isla Nublar. There's a wall separating it from the park on the other side of the island. People have been trying to know what's inside the wall. Some goes there by land, and some goes there by boat. People who do successfully trespass are never seen again. Some say a monster lurks there, that park officials are trying to hide. Others say that the people who trespassed are captured by park security. Weirdly, boats used by the people who trespassed by water are also never seen again. People visiting the park reported smelling decaying flesh and blood from the other side of the wall. Unfortunately, there aren't many details on this story.

That was a lot, but very well done. How long did it take you to write that?

20 minutes, i think. The whole "7th graders visiting military camp as a school program" thing is true. I know this, because well...

An ancient palace where the Queen haunted--before her own death. It's a very long story. In fact, it's a folktale!

The Historic Quarter, or Barrio Antiguo, has a large number of places reputed to be haunted. Perhaps most notable is the 500-year-old Castillo San Juan, the colonial fort (or castle). It was the center of military stronghold of the island and a focal point of many parts of the country's history and is said to be the most haunted location in the country.

Vasterström Castle (Vasterström Slott) is an elegant castle built by the duke of Vasterström (modern day Persson department and Valhar department), Vasterskold in 1256. It was abandoned in February 5, 1789, as Vasterskold split into Persson department and Valhar department. There are ghosts (some of them ghost mamonos) and other paranormal stuff there. Listed are some examples:

-A ghostly kejōrō stands at the front. She giggles, and the moment you try to look at her, she disappears, and the next thing you know it, she's near you, and when you try to look at her then, she disappears again, and then the next thing you know, she's right in front of you.
-On occasion, the decorative armor sets in the halls move, as if they were knights.
-At midnight, there will be a ghastly ball in the castle ballroom. When someone approaches the ballroom, there is nothing there.
-In the fireplace room, there are, on occasion, dancing swords
-In the library, there is a sound of a crying girl, but when you approach the sound, the crying stops.

I use Monster Girl Encyclopedia (although set on modern time) as a medium for roleplay (my nation is not limited to it, though). I am an MT nation (set in today), with experimental and a few functioning PMT technology. My nation is when Sweden smokes much weed, takes much LSD, takes up more arms than normal, and dates a monster girl (mamono).

The entire southern hemisphere of my people's home world is, and has been for several million years, a nuclear, biological, and chemical wasteland. Over 2/3rds of the population at that time was killed. In the southern hemisphere, there are entire abandoned mega cities, all filled with now ancient dead, each person who died there has a story of their own, a tragic story. Over 5 billion people died in the southern hemisphere, in less than 1 week.

It is said that the ghosts of dead soldiers still fight each other in a war that will never end. And the ghosts of civilians live out the last day of their lives over and over, and will continue to do this until the end of time its self. Because of these ghosts, not even aircraft will fly over the southern hemisphere, out of fear of the dead.
