Fordorsian Sappers have always been under strict orders to keep their tools is perfect condition. Though it's an outdated and uncommon practice, commanding officers are authorised to inflict any punishment they see fit if a tool is found to not be perfectly clean and sharpened, within the bounds of common law of course. (no torture, assault, etc)

Oh and Sappers are permitted by law to eat with their knives at any occasion, military or civilian.

Individuals attempting to enter Ghost, as a final test, are given a sole round of 7.92x57mm IS and a pair of underwear and are told to remain undetected. Undetected from what? They are dropped off at the northern-most point of the border of Spreewerke and are given a week to collect various items in certain cities and then report to the unit commander at the southern-most point of the border of Spreewerke. The entire time they must avoid being recognized by any training personnel who are guarding the items, as well as a squad of current Ghost who are dropped into the field 12 hours after the trainee is dropped off. Their goal is to find the trainee.

Upon completing this journey, the trainee is then required to show that they still possess the 7.92x57mm IS cartridge, that it has not been damaged or corroded, and they must then use whatever items they've picked up on their way to pull the bullet from the casing, dump the powder, and then snort said line of powder. If they aren't killed by performing this task, they are inducted into Ghost.

If you want to make it mechanised just make it a vibroblade or something. Than mount it on the users shoulders on a pair of powered hinges so that he can chop things in front of him self whilst having his hands free.

That's rather interesting. A bit sloppy looking for my tastes, but the same can be said for near all bullpup conversions.

Probably one of the only prototypes of the bullpup AK5, only heard of it today on a Swedish military forum.
Guess they would have made it better looking if it would have been passed.

Here is a question I have. I have been plotting the muzzle velocity of my 5.45x42mm round. The numbers I used start from 200mm and go in 50mm increments with the exception of 206.5mm (AK-74u) and 415mm (AK-74) which I included because I felt like it. Here is the table:

Barrel Length:
200 mm
206.5 mm
250 mm
300 mm
350 mm
400 mm
415 mm
450 mm
500 mm
550 mm
600 mm
Barrel Length:
819.91 m/s
828.75 m/s
878.13 m/s
922.63 m/s
957.68 m/s
986.64 m/s
994.26 m/s
1010.72 m/s
1031.75 m/s
1049.73 m/s
1065.89 m/s

Now looking at this the round gives me some interesting options. I could go with a full length (600mm barrel) and get the full 1066 m/s which is awesome. But I could also go shorter and pick say a 450mm barrel without that high a loss in performance. And if I wanted to really keep things short I could go as low as 250mm and still get velocity comparable to the AK-74 firing 5.45x39mm. Although I get the feeling that if I did that the muzzle blast would be worthy of a black powder musket.

So for all of you that know more than me. Read this and please share your thoughts.
