1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Taxes are completely voluntary in Fatatatutti but it is considered irresponsible not to pay something.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Borrowing money is fairly rare in Fatatatutti. Borrowing things such as cars is common and it is considered rude not to lend what you are not using. It is not necessary to ask if the lender is not at home; when he returns and finds his car missing, he assumes somebody borrowed it and will return it eventually. It is considered rude to forget to return things. One of the major functions of the police is finding the ownrs of "misplaced" property.

3. A citizen robs something. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): See above. It is no crime to take something as long as you intend to return it. An offender who did steal with the intention of keeping the property would be sent for rehabilitation. Armed robbery is almost unheard of.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Discrimination based on arbitrary factors is not part of our culture so there is no set response to it. Some immigrants do bring such behaviour with them but it is looked down on by Fatatatutian society.

5. A citizen is a prostitute. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Providing a service for money is not a crime. However, it should be noted that Fatatatutians are too frugal (cheap) to pay money for something you can get for free, so prostitution is mostly for the tourists.

6. A citizen does marijuana. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No substance is illegal.

7. A citizen does cocaine. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): See above.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): See above.

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Fatatatutians are too frugal (cheap) to destroy their own property for some kind of "protest". (Nobody would regard it as a significant protest anyway.) Destroying somebody else's property would make you liable for civil suits.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Fatatatutian coins are made on a free enterprise basis by anybody who wants to. Most of them have little intrinsic value. You are free to do whatever you want with your own property.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Penalty tax of 50% or three months in jail

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Depends, if a citizen has a loan or mortgage and doesn't pay, the bank has the right to impose penalty fines. If they still are unable to pay back their mortgage or loan, the government will offer economic guidance to the customer. In worst case scenarios, the bank can force a citizen to sell something to pay back the debt.

3. A citizen robs something. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Ranges from 2 weeks in jail to 15 years

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Depends again, if you are segregated or discriminated because of your race, sexuality or religious believes and the discrimination results in you loosing your job or any thing like that, the perpetrator may face jail-time. If it is just harassment, the perpetrator may lose their job or receive fines.

5. A citizen is a prostitute. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Prostitution is legal and brothels is monopolized by the government. If you are caught in private prostitution, nothing will happen, but if you have a private pimp, the pimp may face jail-time and you will get the opportunity to start working for the government controlled brothels or help getting out of that life if you want.

6. A citizen does marijuana. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Marijuana is legal and distributed through government owned "Dug stores". Any private distributor of marijuana risks fines or jail-time.

7. A citizen does cocaine. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): The government will offer you to participate in a program for addicts that will help you. No punishment for doing any kind of drugs.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): See above

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Burn it if you want, but watch out. Walosians are a quite nationalistic and patriotic people and burning the flag in front of Walosians is not smart.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): The perpetrator will face up to 5 years in jail.

CANON UPDATE (OOC):
I have given this a lot of thought and I have decided to do some major changes to the Walosian History Canon.

The largest change that I will be doing is the removal of the “Walosian-Khelsharian War of 2009” and the following abdication of Empress Liat as well as the removal of the character Liat completely. The reason why is because I have developed my nation into a more realistic fashion during the 2014-2015 era and after reviewing older post I see that the war and abdication of Liat is both unrealistic, doesn’t fit with the overall nation and is simply unprofessional.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime(y/n): Depends, the government rarely collects the total amount required in taxation, so this fluctuates in its illegality. Punishment(If Any): If the government does decide they want your money and you say 'no' they promptly send the air force to bomb your home with laser-guided missiles.
2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): That is between the two parties to sort out, oath-keeping is none of the government's business.
3. A citizen robs something. Crime(y/n): Officially Punishment(If Any): Public Whipping.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. 1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): The citizen is pressed into service to fulfill their obligation. Normally as much consideration as is practical is given to the preferences of those who voluntarily muster to fulfill their fyrdnoþ; this is not the case for those who attempt to evade their duty.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime(y/n): No. The courts may become involved, but it's a civil suit, not a criminal charge.

3. A citizen robs something. Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Depending upon the circumstances, it might be a fine, or being hanged by the neck until dead. Often the practical punishment is simply being shot dead on the scene by the intended victim.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. Crime(y/n): This is so alien to the Eahlisc way of thinking that it's not even a crime. It's just something that doesn't happen and Eahliscmenn would find bafflingly strange.

5. A citizen is a prostitute. Crime(y/n): No.

6. A citizen does marijuana. Crime(y/n): No. Marijuana is one of our major cash crops.

7. A citizen does cocaine. Crime(y/n): No.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug. Crime(y/n): No.

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation. Crime(y/n): No. We don't technically have a national flag; the banner to the left here is the personal banner of the line of the Eahlene, who currently hold the cynehelm, and have for most of Eahland's history. Burning a flag that you own in a safe manner is not in any case unlawful, though arson, destruction of property, or reckless endangerment charges might result from burning someone else's flag or doing so in an unsafe manner; not because it's a flag, but just because setting things on fire can be dangerous and destructive.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime(y/n): Technically yes, as the law assumes that the reason for the destruction of coinage is to recycle the metal into adulterated counterfeit coinage. This dates back to when we used precious metal standards, and the coins had intrinsic value. It's not really enforced these days, and doing it would be kind of pointless anyway, as we use fiat money now and even the ¼ peninges face value is greater than the intrinsic value of its metal.
Punishment(If Any): Fines based on the amount of currency destroyed.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Payment of back taxes, with interest (if applicable), plus a 25% fine for every year the tax wasn't payed.
2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No crime
3. A citizen robs something. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Return of the item(s) or money stolen, plus compensation for damages and injuries incurred.
4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Not officially a crime, as it never happens, since skin color or sex are no issues (at least, no more than hair color, eye color, or the size of your footwear).
5. A citizen is a prostitute. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No crime
6. A citizen does marijuana. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No crime
7. A citizen does cocaine. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No crime
8. A citizen does any other form of drug. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No crime
9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No crime
10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No crime, and it's own punishment, as the market value of the base materials a coin is made of is less than the face value of the coin.

Greater Mackonia wrote:10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Hahahha! Our coins are made of mercury! Jokes on you fool!

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime: No. Reaction: A fine equal to that owed, or community service, or jail time. Citizen choice. Abuse of the system results in doubling of the reaction.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime: No, but warrant intervention. Reaction: Government absorbs citizen debts and charges the citizen, interest free, for their debt. Abuse of the system results in an immediate seizure of the debt owed through all and any assets possessed by the citizen.

3. A citizen robs something. Crime: Yes. Punishment: Stolen property returned, and any damages caused are repaired at the expense of the offender. If the offender is able to cover the damages, the government seizures enough assets to allow such. If no such assets exist, the government pays for the damages and community service to recover the lost funds is required by the offender after their rehabilitation is complete.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. Crime: No. Reaction: Though the government, within its own infrastructure, is unbiased, it cannot segregate the thoughts and opinions of another in a private institute insofar as those thoughts and opinions do not harm another person. The government does, however, support education programs for both children and adults to eliminate prejudice.

5. A citizen is a prostitute. Crime: No. Reaction: The citizen is asked to go to government-funded clinics to check for sexually-transmitted diseases, and, if in possession of them, is required to notify their clients about such. Additionally, no minor (defined at the age of seventeen and below) may be a prostitute, but any practice of such is charged to the parents as a degree of child abuse.

6. A citizen does marijuana. Crime: No. Reaction: Much like alcohol, citizens are fully allowed to take marijuana in a restricted area, and may not drive nor operate heavy machinery under the influence of marijuana. The government does not desire to interfere with the passive actions of their citizens until they become passive-aggressive.

7. A citizen does cocaine. Crime: No. Reaction: See above, replacing marijuana with cocaine.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug. Crime: No. Reaction: As stated above, by two.

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation. Crime: No. Reaction: De facto thought crime--ergo, not a punishable offense, insofar as no property nor persons are set aflame.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime: No. Reaction: The material and mass of the coins is measured precisely, and alerts with the market. The worth of it's material is precisely the worth it symbolizes.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): There are no taxes. Should someone not contribute in any way to the community, it is up to that community to decide. Sometimes there simply is no problem, if they can be provided for. Should there be a problem, usually the person is asked to start helping out.
2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): People who cannot fulfill agreements because they are struggling to produce the goods they compromised to will not be punished in any immediate way, but it's at the community's discretion to keep a record of that and to demand better. Should that person prove to be acting in dishonesty, usually they will be replaced.
3. A citizen robs something. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Robbery is an extremely rare occasion and usually is closely looked at with curiosity. Often, nothing really happens for the goods tend to be irrelevant or otherwise widely available.
4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Communities take this behavior very seriously, do not tolerate it and will intervene very aggressively in defense of the offended. People who behave this way have been shown the gates of the community and demanded never to come back. In other communities, they are kept but watched and constantly educated.
5. A citizen is a prostitute. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Unheard of. If exists, very unlikely to be punished in any way for it.
6. A citizen does marijuana. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Marijuana is already cultural and widely accepted everywhere in Praotos.
7. A citizen does cocaine. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): Whereas cocaine is frowned upon by many simply because it is in many ways detrimental to physical health, in some communities it's OK. Very few are the places where people can do cocaine in the open. Some communities explicitly ban cocaine and advocate its destruction upon being found.
8. A citizen does any other form of drug. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): this question is too open-ended
9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): there is no single-flag and should you burn any of the flags at most they would as you your reasons, critiques, ideas. in the Huti region you might get killed.
10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any): No punishment.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes.
Crime(y/n): Yes
Punishment(If Any): Taxes are typically levied through a Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) system, wherein the payer is obliged to deduct due taxes (to be paid to the relevant collection agencies) before paying the remaining balance to the payee. At the end of every fiscal year, citizens file and submit tax claims, and the appropriate amount is either deducted or added to each citizens' account. As such, tax evasion is fairly rare since taxes are deducted automatically. It is only a real problem arising from the self-employed or under-the-table employment. Tax collection agencies in the Confederation are typically fairly lenient in regards to missed tax filings or inability to pay any outstanding taxes, as long as the person in question is willing to work with the agency - after all, it is cheaper and more effective to work out a payment plan than to chuck a tax evader in jail. If one is unwilling to cooperate, then punishments can range from asset seizure to jail time, typically a mix of both.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts.
Crime(y/n): Yes
Punishment(If Any): Labour until debts are paid off, their work counting as payment.

3. A citizen robs something.
Crime(y/n): Yes
Punishment(If Any): Depending on the circumstances, anywhere from six months to five years in prison.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex.
Crime(y/n): No; there are no laws on segregation in the Confederation.

5. A citizen is a prostitute.
Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): The selling, purchasing, or trading of sexual favours is illegal. Both the seller and the buyer can be imprisoned for lengthy prison sentences if found guilty.

6. A citizen does marijuana.
Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Technically, the consumption of marijuana itself is not illegal. However, the production, importation, purchase, and/or sale of marijuana (along with all other narcotic substances) is illegal. So one cannot be imprisoned for consuming the stuff, but can be imprisoned because the only way they can obtain the stuff is through illegal methods.

7. A citizen does cocaine.
Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Mostly the same as above, except that the consumption of cocaine is illegal as well.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug.
Crime(y/n): Depends on the drug.
Punishment(If Any): 1-10 years in prison and confiscation of all narcotic material.

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation.
Crime(y/n): Yes
Punishment(If Any): Up to 10 years in prison with hard labour. Also applies to any other defacing of the national flag.

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of.
Crime(y/n): Yes.
Punishment(If Any): Up to five years in prison and seizure of assets both financial and real equivalent to the value of the destroyed currency.

1. A citizen doesn't pay their taxes. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Yes but Stormaen uses a pay-as-you-earn system whereby your tax is paid immediately from your pay and you can claim back any overpaid tax. Unpaid tax is very rare in Stormaen; they're low enough
not to warrant not paying.

2. A citizen can't pay off their debts. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Yes but inability to pay debts hardly ever results in custodial sentences. It's usually treated as a civil matter.

3. A citizen robs something. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Yes.

4. A citizen segregates someone based on their skin color/sex. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Yes.

5. A citizen is a prostitute. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
No. Prostitution is not a crime in Stormaen; rather the acts surrounding prostitution are crimes.

6. A citizen does marijuana. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
A citizen "does" marijuana? OK... Cannabis is 'tolerated' to some extent in Stormaen. For example, possession (below a certain amount) of cannabis is not a crime, although selling it is. Likewise, cultivating cannabis is an offence.

7. A citizen does cocaine. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
See below.

8. A citizen does any other form of drug. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
No. Taking any drug is not a crime. Like prostitution, the acts surrounding it are illegal (selling, buying) but actually consuming drugs themselves is not a crime (and never has been).

9. A citizen burns the flag of your nation. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Not a crime. Burning the flag of Stormaen, whilst frowned upon, is not illegal:
The Stormaen Bill of Rights protects the right to the freedoms of speech, expression and opinion. So long as the practice of these freedoms does not infringe, deny nor abridge the rights, property, livelihood and freedoms of others, they cannot be banned or otherwise infringed, denied nor abridged themselves. Burning the flag does not physically harm nor infringe, deny or otherwise abridge the rights, property, livelihood or freedoms of anyone but the state, which is not considered a person. Therefore, it is fully within the rights of every citizen of Stormaen to burn the flag as a means of expressing the aforementioned freedoms.

— Ruling of the Supreme Court of Stormaen, 17 March 1987

10. A citizen melts one of your nations coins to sell the materials it is made out of. Crime(y/n): Punishment(If Any):
Highly illegal.
