The Imperial Palzah or Police in English, is a well funded crime fighting force. Police ranks go up to the rank of Chief.
Rank list:
Officer
Corporal
Senior Officer
Sergeant
Sergeant II
Master Sergeant
Sergeant Major
Lieutenant
Captain
Colonel
Chief of Police

The Police uniform is modified to be both a uniform and riot gear. With enough armor for riot control, and the design and comfort of a typical uniform, officers are always ready for any duty on the street. The Mk. III All-Purpose Enforcement Helmet carries data within a computer chip in the back of the helmet. This data includes current suspect information, and law violations.

The typical armament of a police officer is a Colt Delta Elite 10mm pistol, and a shock baton, while riot armament is an M4A1 Assault rifle, gas grenades, and a riot shield.

The issued patrol car is the Imperial made Vallaah 3600 Enforcer

In Norrænheim, there is not exactly the kind of police force one would expect another nation to have. Since Norrænar have the right to bear arms, those who own a weapon can undergo training approved by the municipality to be a part of a voluntary citizens' militia. Below is the law about citizens' militias:

  1. Those who join are required to enforce the law while patrolling the streets.
  2. Those who fail to do so will have their place in the militia revoked.
  3. Those who have committed a misdemeanor can only join a citizens' militia by the approval of the people.
  4. Felons cannot join a citizens' militia either way.
  5. Once a militia member commits a crime, their place in the militia is revoked.
  6. Militia members are required to wear their badge at all times in public spaces.
  7. Militia members may obtain a warrant for home searches from a local district court.
  8. All warrants require a probable cause describing the place searched, property seized and person arrested.
Here is the badge of a militia member:

Our communities have developed their own ways of encouraging good behaviour without any need for the sort of repression implied by a police force.

Our police are divided up into urban police and provincial police,

Urban police wear type IIA bullet resistant vests with grey uniforms and widely carry the CP-40 .40 caliber pistol, using motorcycles or bicycles as transportation. If the need arises they can call in the national guard for assistance, but most of their job is managing traffic and breaking up disputes. Provincial police on the other hand are heavily armed, wearing type III vests which protect up to 7.62x51 (.308), drive armor plated SUVs, travel in pairs and carry the EMBR-3 bullpup rifle due to remote, rural communities possibly being heavily armed and not too keen on police.

in Silverport, there is The Law a sort of organized group of people who seek to bring law and order, they act as officers of the law but also run the prisons and courts, they all wear a leather jacket with lady justice on it, have all sorts of weapons raging from a simple handgun to full on assault rifles, a array of vehicles the public will usually see just cars, but in major cases they have once pulled out an attack helicopter, or a armored military Hummer but only in extreme cases, they even have explosives, pretty much an armed gang who seeks law and order, outside Silverport people make their own laws, in other city might have things like this, or in small towns a local sheriff, outside any town or city, tho its pretty much a free for all.

policing in the ryanian federation

The federal police of Ryania (RFP)

STRUCTURE
The Federal Police of Ryania is one huge force, but divided into parts.
Federal police is divided to four Republic police forces (ryania, siparia, krasnostav, nordistan)
Republic police forces are divided to two categories:
1: the traffic police unit, ODP. They store their vehicles at some local police stations and use the stations for their purposes.
2: local police departments, wich have the same borders as the vehicle licence plate area codes. (sounds a bit confusing) For example: Ryanigrad is the capitol city and has its own Licence plate area code (45) and belongs to the ryanian republic, so Police cars with 45 coded plates belong to the Ryanigrad police department of the police of the Ryanian republic (wich is a part of the federal police).

UNIFORM
The police uniform goes like this: a black shirt (t-shirt, no tie OR shirt with red tie), black pants and a police belt. The uniform features an ID-card, badge and red details.
Traffic police uniforms feature white shirts with blue ties and details. Also on the back side of the shirts there is a text: ODP

WEAPONS
Typical sidearms are MP-443 Cranch and in poorer regions, Makarov pistols. Traffic policemen (inspectors of the ODP) may sometimes carry AKS74U assault rifles and Saiga12k shotguns. Regular police officers can be seen using AK-74M's and modern versions of the SA-58. Special forces carry pp-2000 and tactically modified AK rifles and in some special events they can be seen using PKM's and SV-98 sniper rifles. Riot police uses batons and riot shields. If protesters start assaulting the riot policemen, they will face AK rifles with attached stingers.

VEHICLES
Vehicles of the federal police vary a lot. In the richer regions (Ryanian republic, Nordistan republic) there are mostly newer cars like Mercedes C series and volvo s60. In the poorer regions (Siparia, Krasnostav) there are many Lada's and other older soviet cars, but also some European cars from the early 2000's. In the border regions of the Siparian republic, there are many counterfeit cars from the Communistic Peoples Republic of Jugnovia (CPR Jugnovia) The federal police is in possession of four KA-60 helicopters and a few old Mi-8's. The special operations branch has been seen using BTR-70 APC's, but there is not any official information about these.

There is no such thing as a "police department".
Military reservists spend their time as police, but crimes are not common here, thanks to another department.
The Ministry of State Security is the most feared ministry ever, known in the Middle East. It's most feared sector is the Rehabilitation Committee, aka Thinkpol Room 101. Crime commiters are "brainwashed" with an ingenious process that they become loyal citizens. So, no need for police unless some reservist's part time job when monitoring party rallies on street.

State Trooper are dispatched with: 9mm Aquairian made service pistol, Aquairian Service Rifle, Bullet proof vest, radiation medications, field medic pack, restraints, tranquilizer pistol.

Example Image of some of Aquairia's boys in blue.

Containment Response Trooper: Radiation/Bio-hazard response suit, Ceramic plate armor, Aquairian Service Rifle, Radiation Meds, Advanced Field Medical Pack, portable flame throwers.

Aquairian State troopers are normally found on foot or with light armored vehicles. The most common being a six wheeled armored personnel transport. In times of great threat or when a neighborhood/district requests State Troopers will perform full armored patrols with a tank. Full armored patrols are sometimes done in uniform to remind citizens of what is available for their protection.

In addition to this Aquairian State Troopers are known for being some of the most APPROACHABLE officers known and citizens do not fear them.

Urban Security, also known as U-Sec for shorthand, is the Imperium's regular police force. Every world raises it's own police force, much like state/provincial police forces in federal nations.

Unlike a traditional police force, Urban Security is more of a paramilitary organization, having military significance as well as police functions - in the event of a planetary invasion, Urban Security would assist the planetary defense forces in repelling the attackers. For this reason, U-Sec troops are armed much more heavily than would be necessary for a normal police force. Military-grade weaponry and powered armor also helps maintaining an imposing presence, intimidating and deterring would-be offenders.

U-Sec has a ruthless and uncompromising reputation when dealing with crime, there being few restrictions on detainee abuse or use of lethal force. Resisting arrest or attempting to flee is sufficient legal grounds for U-Sec officers to use lethal force at their discretion. Sidh citizens know this and therefore generally comply to U-Sec officers' demands without question. However, the penalties for abusing this great authority are also severe - an infraction that would merely result in a heavy fine for an ordinary citizen can land a U-Sec trooper in a labour camp. U-Sec troops are also held to high professional standards, so law-abiding citizens have little reason to fear the imposing power-armored men patrolling in the streets.

Unlike a typical police force, U-Sec will rarely detain someone based on suspicion, subtly observing suspects instead and allowing them to accumulate enough evidence against themselves to warrant an immediate conviction even if it means allowing the suspects to commit more crimes, thus eschewing the need for lengthy trials.

The police is extremely corrupt, and their main occupation is to raid drug labs so they can sell the drugs off and launder the money. They are armed with .40 Glock pistols, used primarily against people charging at them with foam swords and super soakers, and pepper spray, which is used primarily against college students and senior citizens.

Police in Ventalia? Yes. Officers and Corporals are (typically) equipped with tasers, batons, handcuffs, pepper spray, bullet-proof vests, two-ways, and a small first-aid kit. Sergeants and higher ranking officers tend to have 9mm guns or other lethal weaponry (depending on their unit and skills) instead of tasers. Some local police forces have different equipment levels per rank, and the aforementioned is a rough norm.

San Andreas has three separate police departments. The Los Santos Police Department or LSPD, the Los Santos County Sheriff and the San Andreas Highway patrol. They are commonly known for using deadly force to solve every situation from speeding to traffic accidents to a man with a gun.

Officers are armed with a handgun, taser and baton. Patrol cars also have shotguns and bulletproof vests in them for use in high risk situations. There is also a heavily armed response unit called NOOSE used for dangerous situations.

The Public Security Corps is the gendarmerie branch of the Zhouranese People's Army, primarily responsible for civilian policing and fire rescue duties in Zhouran, as well as providing support to the Zhouranese People's Army during wartime.

The PSC's primary mission is internal security, with having authority to respond to riots, terrorist attacks or other emergencies. The secondary mission of the PSC is external defence, and in times of war PSC internal security units can act as light infantry supporting the ZPA in local defense missions.

The Public Security Corps has units organized into contingents, with each numbering at 10,000 personnel.

Because the PSC is part of the Zhouranese People's Army, it obeys its general regulations and enjoys the same services as the ZPA. However, the PSC has its own education and training system.

The PSC is under the control of both the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Even the nomadic nation of the Wallachan People's Front requires law enforcement officers in it's ranks.
To enforce laws, to investigate crimes, to hunt down and return runaway wives...
We employ the Wallachian People's Police Force which enforces the law with an iron fist!

In general, the police will work in 3 man teams, a commander and his two enforcers. The commander identifies and investigates crimes, his enforcers protect him and enforce the law as he interprets it.

The Police of Volkstrad are called the Volkspolizei. They are equipped with various weapons, depending on location.
Image
Most carry a Nightstick, Makarov pistol, in addition to the standard policing utilities of handcuffs etc. Some carry AKM Assault Rifles, Mosin Nagant Rifles, or KS-23 Shotguns.

Their purpose is primarily to enforce law and order. They crackdown on any riots brutally. In many instances, they are even more of an elite force than our Military, as a year of service is compulsory, so these men and women have all served their time in the Volkstrad People's Army, and continue to work in a near-paramilitary force.
