Internet connectivity in Brellach, a nation notoriously unconcerned with / unable to realistically afford technology such as computers and mobile phones, is poor to non-existent. The government has established a slow satellite connection with the global Internet, and it has offered to connect others up via this connection, but only a handful of large corporations have taken advantage of this. As computers barely exist outside of a few companies who have old, non-networked computers for business reasons, it seems unlikely that demand will be high at any point in the future.

We have a nation wide fibre optic network woth speeds upto 1Gb.
I go by Illumine in non-RP situations--though some of my region mates seem to prefer war mongerer at times. Both Invictus and Illumin are correct for identifying those from Illuminination. Illuminian refers to a person from the whole of Illumine and not just Illuminination.

In view of the fact that (a) there is no secret police, and (b) any ordinary officers detailed to police or monitor the internet would just inevitably end up spending whole days watching cat videos, the Melvonian government doesn't even try to exert any authority in the digital world.

The Bei-Lu Media and Electronics Authority (BLMEA) monitors Internet usage by Bei-Lu citizens. Websites visited are catalogued through a computer system and are flagged and blocked if they promote or contain pirated or pornographic content, terrorism, anti government campaigns, or anything which is illegal in Bei-Lu (e.g smoking). Websites situated within the People's Republic of China are automatically blocked for governmental and historical reasons (Bei-Lu and China are not friends). However, some websites from the DPRK are readily available to citizens. Wifi is not readily available around the country as there is only one small provider (Nectajin) but is available in larger cities.

Internet is provided though a private company known as an Internet Service Provider. These may be a Cable or Satellite Company or a company dedicated solely to providing internet service. Fees and services depend on provider but all ISPs do charge for service.

The Government does monitor for any illegal activity and it's prohibited for children under 18 to access any Social Networking service. Children under 15 require adult supervision.

While private and largely unsupervised, there are regulations on pricing and access provided by ISPs. Local intelligence agencies also routinely do what they do - so it while it would be a stretch to say it is completely supervised, it is certainly not completely unsupervised.

The internet is restricted. The government supervises the internet. Bad sites are automatically blocked such as religious, anti-military, or anything deemed anti-government. Internet acess is free.

In Purpelia all internet access comes through the one single government controlled internet provider. The government does not actively censor sites or anything like that but it does keep track of who visits what site just like every other provider. Also, a side effect of how the system was made ensures that for all intents and purposes the provider acts as a proxy server thus making it impossible for foreigners to track what individual Purpelian citizens are doing online or what Purpelian based sites their citizens are visiting. All they can tell is that someone from Purpelia visited their site or that their citizen visited a Purpelian site. But they can't tell whom in the first case and what site in the second. This has lead to a small boom in streaming sites which handle content that is illegal in most places but legal in Purpelia such as child pornography.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

There is internet, with awesome tech that includes maneuvering a real life nuclear reactor with just clicks on an authorized website, producing stuff with things similar to the Mass Fabricator from modded Minecraft, basically citizens rely on it, and it's our means of production. Actually it's not even internet. My nation is a post-apocalyptic warfare nation with complex systems to manipulate citizens USING MINECRAFT. Lots of tech such as making real stuff with a few clicks, but there are always police monitoring that nobody processes nukes on the virtual client.

The network here is considered to be one of the public ways, and so, like the highways, the infrastructure is constructed and maintained by the cynerice with public funds and labor, and all folk may use it freely and without restriction. (We find that the benefits to commerce far outweigh the costs, for both physical ways and the cunnung mægenheahweg.) We have pervasive wireless coverage backed by high-speed optical fiber backbones, which carries all of our telecommunications, all of it open to anyone with a device that can connect to it. Strong encryption and authentication are built into the protocol layer, which makes it not quite impossible, but definitely impractical, to censor or even monitor in any significant way.

Internet is free and mainly unsupervised, but lately we have been getting reports on the mass publication of child pornography to the point where it can be found 'anywhere' on the internet. So we are passing more strict laws to prohibit mass distribution of pornography all together. The pornography website owners have to follow a list of rules and sign before they can make their website public.
