Geography-

Borders;
The borders of ramsetia are said to resemble a 'comma, with horns' or even 'a stylised face of the devil'. We don't much agree with that second descriptor, as accurate as it may be. aside from a small stretch of land at the southwestern most point of ramsetia, the nation is entirely landlocked. As such, we do not sport a great deal of territorial waters, the nations surrounding us have allowed us a stretch of ocean roughly 15 nautical miles from the shore, in a vaguely trumpeted arangement. The nation itself is notably large, but sparsely populated through some regions.

Recently, a new territory has been added to ramsetia, a claim on the Borenz continent, forming Ramsetia's newest city-state. Our claim on the island features expansive shoreline and a humid climate.

Terrain;
The land of Ramsetia is varied, but even. The north of the nation is tall mountains, surrounding the impassable mountain range between the horns, which belongs to another nation. Moving slowly south from that, you will find red-sand deserts which run a few kilometers in a band, thicker at the west and thinner to the east. Beyond that the deserts will blend to yellow-sand, and then to savannah. At the southernmost point, this savannah is bordered by a river. The River Jericho, as it is termed.

Running south from this river, it's rocky southern bank is edged with lush grassland. This thick band is home to the majority of the unique native wildlife. Running southwest, the land becomes softer and marsh-like as it approaches the river delta which houses the only oceanic shorelines in all of ramsetia. Back to the southeast, mountains and steppes begin to overtake the landscape once more, along with several old-growth forests.

The majority of the Ramsetian cities are built along the River Jericho, although there are several large mining towns in the desert regions. The country's second city, Port Ramsetia, is the largest city in the nation, and serves as the primary trade zone, as well as the first city many tourists will see. Built upon all 92 kilometers of coastline our nation controls. Our nation's capitol of renaissance is a marvel of engineering and problem-solving, situated deep underground in one of the many series of natural caves and caverns that dot the southern landscape.

Flora;
Ramsetian plants are common, though Ramsetian plainsgrass is remarkably tender and soft, often exported as hay and feed for horses in noble stables, or to line children's playgrounds. Ramsetia also has it's own, distinctive papyrus reed, decorated with a vibrant purple colour, from which the national seal and crest take their own colourations. the caverns in ramsetia's south are also home to several unique forms of fungi, photoluminescant forms of which are often preserved and given as gifts, or exported to developing nations as a light source.

Fauna;
Most ramsetian animals have similar variants in other nations. However, one particular creature has made ramsetia it's home. The Disco Dice, named after the campy, kitsch car decoration from the 70s, and much similar in physical build, is an invertibrate which is most easily identifyable by it's bright, almost garish fur and the dark, regular spots across it's surfaces. The Disco Dice has many variants, from the bright yellow Desert Dice, through to the deep pink of the domesticated varieties. Most notable about this creature is the fact that it can breed healthy and fertile hybrids with any other creature, resulting in even the most common forms of ramsetian mammalia and reptilia sporting garish colourations

The Savannahs in Ramsetia are home to it's grazing populations, as south of the river there exists a large proportion of perdatory animals. The width and rocky southern bank of this river has kept these grazing animals on the northern half of ramsetia. Amongst these is the Ramsetian Lechwe, a bright blue animal with eight black dots along it's back, as opposed to the normal tawny yellows and browns. Ramsetian buffalo also occupy the riverbanks, and despite interbreeding with disco dice, have managed to retain their dark fur, though they often sport pink, blue, or green dots. Both of these animals are hunted for their pelts and meat, under strict government control.

Natural Resources;
Ramsetia is a leading producer of U-238, despite the fact it is rarely utilised within the nation itself. Beyond production of this resource, the nation will also export the brightly-coloured wools and furs of it's creatures, and the 'Ramsetian Papyrus', which is used in recyclable papers, to produce dyes, and the fibres of which are also used to make clothing.

Economy-

overview;
Ramsetia's economic model is currently based around high taxation, but also the export of products and resources that other nations lack. Ramsetia's industry is geared towards retail, and as such, trade agreements will often be written with the specific needs of the other nation in mind, a kind of international version of customer service. Beyond this, Ramsetia acknowledges the rather unique nature of it's capitol city, and does have a noticable tourism industry.

Currency;
The ramsetian currency is the 'Lifetime', a currency based off the life expectancy and working life of it's citizens. The more labor and man-hours we have available, the stronger our currency becomes. The inverse is also true.

Effectively, a person is paid in credit-time, or 'Lifetime', as it is referred to. They are paid on a ratio according to the difficulty of their work, and any dangers assosciated with it. For example; A cashier at a supermarket may only earn lifetime on a 2.5:1 ratio, 2.5 'hours' for every hour worked. An ordinator will earn 6:1 for home duty, and 10:1 for duty abroad. And a professional sportsperson will only earn 0.25:1 for their time on the field.

The L$ used in foreign exchanges is roughly equal to 3 or 4 minutes of lifetime.

Exchange rate;
The exchange rate is remarkably steady for our nation. Nearly 1.2 L$ against a single US$. The current, exact rate, is 1.1157 L$ = $1

GDP;
Ramsetia's Gross Domestic Product is currently recently risen to 12.9 trillion L$, The per capita rate has experienced a similar rise, at 16.23 Thousand L$

Employment;
Our Unemployment rate has dropped sharply, to 3.65%. We hope to continue this trend.

Imports;
Ramsetia imported just over 1.6 trillion L$, mostly made up of consumer goods to sustain our retail industry, including clothing and computers, and raw materials such as titanium and steel. We also import parts for the manufacture of more efficient and effective Solar Panels, and Electric motors from New Olwe.

Exports;
Ramsetia is open to exporting anything we have available, that other nations have need for. Currently, we export weaponry, furs, U-238 and Ramsetian plantlife, a big seller is the bioluminescant fungi which inhabit several of our nation's caverns, alongside more traditional exports like a specific purple dye, and the Ramsetian papyrus plant that the Dye is processed from.

Exchanges;
Ramsetia is always willing to operate skilled persons exchanges, and are currently in talks to instigate programmes in this manner.

Particular, notable exchanges are;
A cultural exchange with the Ambrose Islands, literature in particular, though also music and theatre.
We have established a rather thorough Skills Exchange programme with New Olwe, in regards to each nation's Sex Industries, and Power generation

History-

The history of ramsetia can be split into two major points. Pre-imperial and imperial.

Pre-imperial;
Ramsetia was founded in the city of Port Ramsetia, by a group of merchants. These merchants would go on to become the ruling class, establishing the Lifetime currency which Ramsetia still uses to this day, and the 'merchant police', the armed forces of the burgeoning nation. This fledgling nation began to expand along the River Jericho, as naval, and coastal expansion was blocked by the superior navies of the region. Trade caravans were sent out, contacting nomadic tribes north of the river, and spreading out unchecked to the south. Such rapid overland expansion didn't go unnoticed, though. The established nations around ramsetia were swiftly alarmed, and armed blockades stopped ramset expansion.

Within Ramsetia itself, the expansion had left gaps in the government's ability to look after it's people. The desert to the north, and natural predators to the south made messenger runs difficult, and soon tyhe merchant guilds were forced to resort to a draconian rule to keep the people placated. Thus, the rebellion of the shields was organised. One of the many convoluted laws that the merchant class created, was to make it illegal for peasants to wield weapons, however, it was still encouraged that a shield be owned and wielded for self defence. In a series of bloody battles, the rebellion of shields overtook port Ramsetia, and established their own, imperial rule.

Imperial;
The rebellion of the shields has since flavoured ramsetian culture. Right through the age of gunpowder, to the modern era, ramset soldiers have been required to wield protective shields, often gaining their warriors comparisons to 'land vikings'. Ramsetia's imperial rule helped to galvanise the population into action, and with a religious zeal, the nation continued to expand once again, swelling it's borders to the current size. Since this time, the nation has ceased it's expansive tactics, and focused on developing the large tracts of desert and uninhabited grassland.

Military-

overview;
The Ramset military is a land-air focused service, though it has a small navy, this force is attached under army control. They make use of heavy armors, the traditional shield, and light, close-range weaponry, with long-range support from artillery or sharpshooters. There are holes in this doctrine, for instance, they have no effective mid-range combat weapons. The air force relies heavily on VT technology, and it's larger craft have replaced naval units in the joint force's doctrine. All-over, the Ramset Imperial Defence Force is heavily networked, and support elements play a large role in any military actions.

branches;
The Ramset military is split up into two main forces. Aerospace, and Surface. Each of these is divided further

SurCom;
Ordinators (infantry, including support infantry)
Shieldbearers (ground logistics)
Cavalry (armoured support)
Bombadiers (Artillery support)

AeroCom;
Fleet Command (Airfleet operations)
Fighter Command (fighter and gunship operations)
Orbital (government space exploration and utilisation)
Merchantmen (airborne logistics and transport)

The force assignment between the main forces is 55/45, in Surface's favour.

Manpower;
Ramsetian military manpower varies between 2-4% of the total national population, the military joint command stresses the importance of training, and as such, training periods are on average, a week or two longer than most comparable militaries. The high percentage of population in the military, by comparison to other nations is also accounted for by the fact that the military acts as a joint military-police force, ensuring law and order, and trained in police actuions as well as military.

Alliances;
Ramsetia is hesitant to enter into alliances, although many joint-training and defensive aid treaties and non-aggression pacts have been happily signed.

Equipment;
The equipment used by the Ramset Ordinators is focused around a defensive posture. It involves a Ballistic shield rated to reliably (16 rounds of 20 in a three-inch diameter target) repel 7.62mm FMJ fired from 400m. Alongside this is the current Service weapon. Generally a SMG or light assault rifle. These are supported at panic ranges and CQB by a special class of weapon largely endemic to Ramsetia; The Flak Rifle.

Flak rifles are shotgun-like weapons that utilise shaped, fragmenting charges similar to anti-aircraft flak. roughly octagonal in shape, to allow for more corners in the resulting blast, the Flak shells operate on similar principles to a fragmentation grenade, though in this case, they are detonated in the breech of the rifle, showering an opponent with white-hot shrapnel. Alternatively, there are delayed-fuse rounds which function much like an airburst frag grenade, and other variations on similar rounds.

Ordinators themselves use one of these weapons, supporting infantry groups are equipped with a variety of other arms, from side-loading 7.62mm LMGs for heavy automatic weapon support, through to anti-materiel and sniper rifles in sniper support elements.

Anti-tank firepower at a squad level is provided by a 23mm recoilless rifle, one to a squad, with ammunition spread through the group.

Ramset infantry armour is generally of Class IV protection, featuring prominent shoulder guards and thick pads of a mixture of metal and soft protective elements. Vehicle crews wear a smaller and thinner vest, rated for class II protection.

Vehicles;
Ramsetia's lack of local land vehicle construction has required our military to seek for vehicles from abroad, finding what they can, which our industry will then modify to suit our own doctrine and needs.

Infantry Mobility is provided by two lines of vehicles;
The Bushmaster IMV (Infantry Mobility vehicle), is the current city-use transport, but is capable in all terrains, from desert through to jungle. A turbocharged Diesel engine provides power to all four wheels, and double wishbone suspension keeps the vehicle from becoming trapped. It has space to comfortably fit 10 soldiers and equipment, and provides air conditioning, cooled water reservoir, and communications and computer services. A four-seater variant with an open traybed back is used for combat reconnaissance
they are joined by modified BMP-3s, bulky and tank-like constructs sealed against NBC warfare. Ramsetian BMP-3s lack the turret and assosciated weapons, in favour of two 7.62mm machine guns on hatches, and two 10mm machineguns on sidemounts, operated by the infantry within. This gives the BMP more anti-infantry firepower, and a lower profile, making it less of a target to enemy tanks

Ramsetia only has two tanks, only one of which is usable on offense. The 'Strider' LT/08/G2. Assembled within Ramsetia, built from assorted parts that are imported from all over the NS world. It is powered by a 12-cylinder diesel engine. A single off-center turret armed with a 122mm autoloading main gun with a rifled barrel provides most offensive punch, while a multi-use missile system on the back of the turret adds further anti-air, and anti-hard target capabilities. a co-axial 7.62 machinegun and a remote-operated identical weapon provide anti-infantry support.

The 'Stalker' HT/02/G6 is the current defensive armour of the RIDF. It's a massive construct, bulky heavy armour, sloped front due to the age of the original design. The engine and transmission make up the front of the vehicle, adding to crew survivability. A 149mm rifled main gun with an autoloader, and a 23mm autocannon on a secondary turret allow for engagement of multiple had targets at once. Taking many design cues from the Merkeva, the Stalker is capable of carrying two additional RIDF personnel, often corpsemen, shieldbearers, or specialist teams.

Logistics support is carried out by 'copperhead'-variant Bushmasters. An unarmed, tray-back variant of our standard Infantry Mobility Vehicle. A welded monocoque body atop double wishbone suspension, with several suvivability equipment options. Unlike the standard model, Ramsetian Copperheads are six-wheeled, with all three axles providing drive power.
For heavier support, like the movement of building materials, other vehicles, or simply larger loads, the HEMTT is used, this eight-wheeler is capable if transporting more than it's share, and has proven adept at use in deserts and open plains alike. However, it is a little too large for inner-city or dense terrain use. Specially modified HEMTTs are utilised as portable launchpads for VT gunships.

Aircraft;
Ramset Air forces utilise high-tech aircraft, favouring agility over stealth technology, the preference being to evading a launched missile rather than defending the craft from being locked onto. The most iconic Ramset air vehicle is the 'SSx' series of gunships, featuring mobile Vectored Thrust turbines mounted along the sides of the craft, enabling a higher degree of speed and anti-air capability, while maintaining the manoeuvrability of a standard helicopter.

Alongside such vehicles are several fighter craft which followed along the same genesis as the Harrier JumpJet, the standard strike fighter equipped to aircarriers is perhaps the greatest example, featuring a rotational mount for the entire turbine of each engine.

Due to a particularly intense focus on aircraft development, the ramset navy could be considered a division of the air force, made up of the assorted airborne capitol ships that Ramsetia will field in navy-like fleets. Small and agile 'blastboats' which feature as the local equivalent of a submarine, up to lumbering behemoths of aircraft carriers, sporting whole wings of fighters for force projection.

Uniforms;
Ramset uniforms are often hard-wearing and utilitarian, some particular examples being the class-1 bullet-resistant jumpsuit worn by fighter pilots. The camouflage pattern of the RIDF is termed 'Hybrid Deceptive Camouflage Pattern', and can be most easily described as a hybridisation of amoeba and stair-step camouflage designs. The pallette for this design is easily swap-able, and five or more colours can be achieved with only three dyes, making it cost-effective.

ImageImageImageImage
The assorted heavy infantry uniforms, the most prominent and commonly seen. From left to right; Standard uniform in Hyperdiverse, Protection Deployment, Cold Climate in Frostburn, and HazMat in Scorched Earth
ImageImageImageImage
Lesser-seen uniforms, including; An Aerocom pilot and airman in 'cloud cover', a Surcom vehicle crewman in 'Saithis', and a Loremaster in hevy armour wearing the gangland urban palette.

Rank Insignia;
Rank is marked by a series of small chevrons on the rim of the dress beret, and by similar chevrons marked onto the forehead of any helmets worn. Rank insignia is identical across both services to increase the overall cohesiveness of the RIDF.
Image
Loremasters do not wear rank insignia, and are considered at all times to be a Warrant Officer, though their deployment may be as any non-comissioned rank.

Government and Political Structure-

Overview;
The government of Ramsetia is the Imperial Assembly, chaired by the Emperor or Empress. The assembly is staffed by a cabinet of ministers in areas that the Emperor finds important, up to ten. Below this cabinet are the senators. Elected representatives, who are called upon to gauge public reaction to acts and decisions put forth by the Emperor. While the Emperor is not answerable to anyone, he or she may take or ignore the advice of these people at their own peril.

Nomenclature;
When adressing the Ramsetian government, the correct term is 'The Imperial Assembly of the Territories of Ramsetia', though this is often shortened to 'The Imperial Assembly (of Ramsetia)'. Occasionally 'Imperial Renaissance' is used in a disparaging light.
Addressing the nation herself, the correct term is 'The Imperial Territories of Ramsetia', often shortened to 'Imperial Ramsetia', or simply 'Ramsetia'

'Ramset' is used to refer to Ramsetia's people, organisations, and concepts.
'Ramsetian' is used to refer to items and objects that come from Ramsetia.

National capital;
An underground citadel, fortified against attacks during a period of intense paranoia. Large blast doors face to each Ordinal compass point, and smaller doors face south, east, and west. the largest Entryway faces to the north, and is reserved for air traffic to the city's small subterranean airport. A large, central hatch opens for nation-wide celebrations, often in order to view light- or fireworks- displays.

Background;
The once-decentralised nation of ramsetia was faced with a problem when it's government became too large and geographically separated to effectively manage the nation. This time period saw a marked rise in government paranoia, mixed together with a large surplus of life-time, all it took was the innocent suggestion of a single, centralised capitol city for Ramsetia's Empress to begin the bidding war for building Renaissance.

The name was chosen to invoke the feel that the empress wanted for her new seat of power, an elegant and visually rich city. A series of underground caverns deep to the south of the nation were selected, based upon recommendation from the Empress'es military advisors to keep the location as hidden as possible. The caves were consolidated and re-enforced into the massive 'natural' ampitheatre they are today. Artificial sunlight is provided by a series of high-power lights, and electrical power was produced using a nearby geothermal vent.

The visual design of the city followed the empress'es demands, a call back to the styles of ancient egypt, with the twist of the renaissance period she so loved. Quickly after the government building and living areas were established, and embassies with local, friendly nations built and prepared, the private sector took notice. The centre of government for Ramsetia soon became the centre of commerce for it's banks and private sector.

Major Features;
Ramsetia's government offices take pride of place within the cavern, a massive tower that is as much a structural support as is is a statue of the empress who made the city possible. At the building's feet lays the central park and open-air theatre, surrounded by a high-end retail district and apartment complexes for the city's populace. As with the rest of the cities of Ramsetia, car travel is illegal in city streets, leaving bikepaths and a city-wide monorail system as the major forms of inner-city travel.

Renaissance's position is identifiable on satellite imagery by the massive silo-like blast door over the city centre, and by the conspicuously large civilian airport that rests, apparently, in the middle of nowhere. This airport was built later, after the wave of paranoia had faded, while the smaller airport within the city's caverns at it's northern end became reserved for government and military traffic only. Air traffic control for both airfields is controlled from within the city.

Several highrises dominate the underground skyline, office buildings where space is at a premium, the cavern entirely urbanised with the densely-packed streets that are almost iconic of ramsetia's inner cities. These towers hold within them, ramsetia's private sector elite, banks and businesses in shouting distance of the government and palace.

ringing the ceiling blast door is ramsetia's police headquarters, keeping a...some would say, invasive, eye upon the populace below, ready to challenge the slightest misdemeanour in the nation's capitol.

Notable cities;
Port Ramsetia is the nation's second city, and the home of it's consulate-general programme. The only cargo dock and shorefront of all mainland ramsetia, it is the native terrain of Ramsetian papyrus, and our largest tourist city.
Beyond this, Thebasis, a city in the center of the red sand desert that takes up much of northern ramsetia is considered by many, another great city of Ramsetia. Though many locals know it to be little more than a tourist trap.
Ricosis is a city at the source of the Jericho River, the fourth largest city in the nation, and the home of the rebellion of shields. This fact is proudly displayed in the local museums and provides a great area for tourists and locals alike to learn about Ramsetian history.

Political Divisions;
Ramsetia's terrain is split into a series of city-states focused around the largest cities in an area. These function as voting pools for the Imperial Senate, and are analogous to the States or Provinces of most other countries. The city states, and their capitols, are;

Renaissance - The smallest, but arguably most important city-state, featuring the capitol city of Ramsetia, and a circle of roughly 15 km radius around it.
Thebasis - The central City-state, featuring the geographical and Tourist centre of the nation, Thebasis. It's shape is a pentagram, with a point facing north.
Heliosis - The north-western City-State, it's predominant feature is the left horn of the Ramsetian border.
Ricosis - North-east of the nation, with it's capitol at the source of the Jericho River. It is a City-State with a great Martial culture and history
Isis - South-eastern portion of the nation, a largely rural area, and a population center of Elves and other 'eldritch' species.
Port Ramsetia - Southern portion of the nation, running along the Jericho River to it's delta, where Ramsetia's only mainland port happily rests.
Elagisis - Home city-state of the Loremaster Corps., the western and southwestern portion of the nation.
Twin Cities - A small, ovoid island in the center of the river Jericho, heavily fortified with ancient walls and butresses, it was the home of the Merchant Guild.
Saithis - The newest City-state, the first new teritory Ramsetia has claimed in many, many years.

International participation;
Beyond eagerly participating in the embassy programmes of many nations, Ramsetia does not offer much involvement to the world stage, the nation is content to sit upon the sidelines and avoid many conforntations, though it is always eager to make new friends on the world stage.

People and Population

overview;
Ramsetia is a large nation, with a population centered around it's dense, greened cities and mining towns. Due to the illegality of motor vehicles in inner-city environments, the population is also quite fit, walking and bike-riding being favoured forms of transit, along with monorails and trams.

Total Population;
As of the last census, Ramsetia was the proud home of 994 Million Ramset, and the number appears to be rising. The median age remains around 38.

Ethnic groups;
There are two noticeable groups of native Ramset. In the north are the darker-skinned ramset, formerly nomads and traders, they were quick to join with the merchants who founded Ramsetia, and helped eagerly to expand the burgeoning nation at the time. Slowly, this integration came to the point where, aside from a slight accent, and the differing skin tones, they are impossible to tell apart from the other brand of ramsetian. Pale ramsetians occupy the south, and the mountain ranges, are the manufacturers and craftsmen of ramsetia, with a tradition of hard work and stability.

Aside from these major human groups, there are also non-humans living comfortably, and enjoying equality and parity with their human neighbours. The largest nonhuman group are Elves and elf-likes, and then Anthropomorphs and talking beasts of varying degrees. Dwarves are a crippled, shrinking minority, as are gnomes and halflings. This is only a sampling, and as with religion, it is often easier to list the species which are not present.

Immigrant enthic groups include a sampling from all countries, although restrictive immigration methodology ensures that there is integration with existing ramsetian culture, although exceptions are noticable in regards to more...open cultures

Language;
Ramsetia speaks the world language, though often heavily accented, their written language is similar to arabic, reading right-to-left. Literacy is considered one of the more important lessons to be learnt, and ramsetian newspapers are written to a college level. This may seem daunting to newcomers and tourists, but it is easily adjusted to after a few days time

Religion;
Ramsetia has no official state religion, although the Loremaster corps. are State-funded and operated. Religious attendance is non-compulsory, and almost any religion is welcome within the borders of Ramsetia. Due to the relatively high levels of atheist and agnostic citizens of ramsetia, many religious groups find themselves unable to gain footing. People of any religion may Emigrate to Ramsetia, provided that their religion has not been used as inaccurate justification for attacks upon civilians.

Loremaster corps;
The Loremasters are Ramsetia's priests, scribes, and holy men and women. Their badge of office is a simple shawl, bands of colour and traditional symbols, denoting the five traditional religions of Ramsetia. Yellow, for the Egyptian Pantheon, Blue for the norse, White for the Greco-Roman, Green for Druidism and Red for Voodoo. Loremasters will bring the coloured bands of their personal religion to prominence, though they are required to know the Lore and expectations of priests in all of Ramsetia's religions. They will wear badges of office for any other religion they specialise in that is not part of the standard Ramsetian group.

They are cultural experts, and are often called upon as diplomatic aides when dealing with a culture steeped in a religious lean. Some of the older loremasters are also capable of calling upon the powers associated with their chosen religion or religious icons, and many Loremasters are also Ordinators, lending spiritual guidance to Ramset soldiers on the battlefield.

Despite these many religious duties, the Loremaster Corps. is primarily a historical group, researching and archiving information on religions and cultures so that the data may be accessible by future generations, without interference from a ruling body that may want certain facts hidden away. This duty makes their research assignments somewhat dangerous, due to interference by religious organisations. This also means that they will strive to have a copy of every single translation of the holy books ready and available to read and compare.

Naming Conventions;
Ramset are named according to the surname-first arrangement, but with several special variances, that are unique to our nation, to our knowledge at least.

The first name presented, is the Surname. This name is assigned to a couple upon marriage, though will revert to the parent's surname once more on divorce. This ensures no arguments over who takes on or keeps who's name during marriage. In the case of orphans, this name is changed to the name of the city in which they live, and in the name of castaways who's parents can not be located, the name of the country.

The second name presented, is the Chosen name. This name is chosen by the person in question when they reach ten years of age. This results in some unearthly names, but always leaves the person content in knowing that they are the one responsible for their mode of address.

The third name is the Given name. The nature of this name is more complicated. For middle- or lower-class citizens, this name is selected from a list provided by the Imperial Assembly, to help with the registration of the child. For upper class, this name is chosen by a specially-arranged herald. This name can change throughout the course of one's life. For instance, being convicted of a crime, the number will be changed to a prisoner number. Once released '/rel' will be added. If proven innocent after conviction '/inn' is added instead. For orphans and castaways, this becomes their date of birth, as best the government can work out, followed by another number, relating what order the children born on this date were found on. A final case, is the ascension to the position of Emperor, or Empress. In which case, the given name becomes 'Ramsetia'

This results in strange-seeming names such as
Ramsetia Elkira TO-04326/Rel. He was a castaway, who chose the name 'Elkira', and was convicted of a crime, and released.
Rasmus Ermine Gerard. His parents were assigned the family name of 'Rasmus', he Chose 'Ermine', and was named 'Gerard' by his parents

Communications-

overview;
Ramsetia boasts one of the greatest subterranean wireless communication networks. The three top local TV stations enjoy a monopoly on advertising in free-to-air TV, and pay TV networks are considered a luxury by many Ramset. Landline phones are available in all households across the nation, although whether or not the people living there make use of them is a personal choice. Cell phones are often used, provided one is over the legal age to be allowed to use such items.

Radio;
Despite being considered outdated, there are still several analogue stations in use, Ramsetia is in a transition period between digital and analogue radio, the land-based systems are lagging behind in the update, because Sattelite radio seems to have far more usage in the nation.

Television;
Again, Sattelite transmission seems to be the rule, Ramsetian subscription TV is considered a luxury. Standard free-to-air is exceedingly competetive, despite the amount of advertising on each station. They are using a digital signal capable of interactivity, from complex things like changing camera angles in compatible TV shows, down to something as simple as getting a pop-up display of the weather.

Internet;
Ramsetia's internet traffic is on the higher side of the spectrum, with no censorship by the government. The extension of .RST has been applied to ramsetian domains, and the nation's digital economy is, according to analysts, preparing for a major boom.

The Minister of Foreign Relations, Port Ramsetia Gavin, would like to invite any interested nation, to ask any questions they may have about our nation. The ministry of foreign relations will attempt to answer such queries in a prompt and efficient manner, should they be able to.

Thankyou for reading, and we hope to see you again.

((OOC; Feel free to post any questions you have from here on...))

This is impressive.
The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular
representatives of the oppressing class shall represent and repress them in parliament.

The art of the Kittenmeister is a truly terrible thing to behold

Nobody knows! *spooky voice*

Actually, All-Tech. The same kind of tech as Imeriata, Nicksyllvania, and all the rest. We just prefer minimalism and geometrics (much like Ancient Egypt, which was a big influence on the visual look of Ramsetia) over the overbearing shinyness (british-ness), and it makes us look more advanced.

Basically, MT as if airships and flak weapons had never been outclassed and abandoned, as if ground and sea vehicles had fallen by the wayside (There's no such thing as a Ramset ocean vessel) as air travel came into play, as if there has always been laws against religion , ethics or tradition interfering in scientific advances, as if the dark ages had never happened to the extent that they had, and as if a whole nation could be mechanically inclined and borderline socially inept.

We also have elves, anthros, dwarves, gnomes, stranded aliens, halflings, faeries, faerie-dragons (miniature dragons, only about as big as a cat at most), the Ramset Disco Dice, and Magick. But it's Magick in the Arcanum sense, in that mechanical and scientific things interfere with it, hence, no Ramset spellweavers.

I have random questions down below? ;)

What’s Ramsetia view on theocracy and why?

What is your nation’s view on Multi-species civilizations which also include humans?

How your nation reacts to xenophobic societies?

What is your nation’s general view of slavery in any forms and why?

What’s your military reaction to psionic-based troops and why?

Theocracy is dangerous, mostly for those who live under it. We wouldn't attempt to force our ways on another nation, but our opinion stands that religion and politics are entirely seperate items that should never be mixed.

What is your nation’s view on Multi-species civilizations which also include humans?

Ramsetia is in part a multi-species civilisation, though the majority are humans. We have no opinion on this topic as a flat idea, though discrimination and inequality may alter such a view

How your nation reacts to xenophobic societies?

Polite avoidance

What is your nation’s general view of slavery in any forms and why?

A repulsive and repugnant practice, one that we do not condone, but will not attempt to stop in territories where it is legal.

What’s your military reaction to psionic-based troops and why?

Interesting and likely quite useful. We have had no first-hand experience, however, and would have no immediate and pre-prepared countermeasures against them.
