Union of Nations Report
After the passage of the constitution the Union of Nations has been in a down swing of activity. But, the delegation from United Great Britian has proposed a code of war and an amendment to the constitution. Currently they will both be passing. Although, the amendment will be passed as of now with a required vote of 60% +1 rather than the percentage of 50% +1 as originally proposed. -Eric Sent Kone
Protests in Govern
In Govern, British Samua there are protests about the rising taxes throughout United Great Britian. Although the taxes are rising in the states as well as the federal territories. The government of the states and United Great Britian are trying to avoid further protests by increasing welfare and other government services. One government employee who wanted to remain anonymous said, "We have contemplated lowering taxes. But, the Prime Minister has decided that at least in federal territories taxes will not be lowered as we aim to have a large welfare state. We have also gotten notice from all states that until further notice they will stand in solidarity with us and not lower taxes." -Eric Sent Kone

Union of Nations Report
As stated yesterday the delegation from United Great Britian has proposed a constitutional amendment and a code of war. The code of war will most likely be passing. Yesterday it seemed like the amendment was going to be passed with a different percentage then originally proposed. But, since then the delegation from United Great Britian is no longer supporting the precentage adjustment. So, as of now the bill will probably pass without the adjustment of the percentage. -Eric Sent Kone
End to Protests in Govern
We reported yesterday that in Govern, British Samua there were protests regarding the rising taxes. But, we reported yesterday that one government employee who wanted to remain anonymous said, "We have contemplated lowering taxes. But, the Prime Minister has decided that at least in federal territories taxes will not be lowered as we aim to have a large welfare state. We have also gotten notice from all states that until further notice they will stand in solidarity with us and not lower taxes." The fact that we reported this seems to have diminished the protests. -Eric Sent Kone
International Alliance for Peace
The government of United Great Britian was planning to hold a summit down the road from the Union of Nations headquarters of the International Alliance for Peace. But, another country also wanted to hold this summit. The solution that was negotiated was that the founder of the International Alliance for Peace will hold the summit. Even though the Prime Minister of United Great Britian has already left for La Esparanza, the founding nation they meeting is being held on Friday or Saturday because the Chancellor of Rutthenia is busy with internal affairs until then. -Eric Sent Kone

ViZionair acquires Royal Kingtonian Airways
Kingtonian flag carrier to become part of ViZionair

Wednesday - 9 April 2014

(Image)
Sir Robert Weston
Royal Kingtonian Airways Group
CEO
It was announced today by Sir Robert Weston, CEO of the Royal Kingtonian Airways Group, that the company had agreed to an offer from ViZionair, the largest airline and flag carrier of ViZion, to acquire the company and its various subsidiaries for 22.5 billion USD. While it has been confirmed by both parties that Royal Kingtonian Airways will retain complete brand and operational independence, the news of the takeover has been received with mixed feelings amongst the Kingtonian public that remain relatively protectionist towards large domestic companies.

The CEOs of both companies announced today that a deal between ViZionair and the Royal Kingtonian Airways Group had been struck after a series of short negotiations. The ViZionair CEO Nick Turner announced that Royal Kingtonian Airways would retain complete independence, permitting the continuation of a separate board of directors and route operations as well as the retention of the RKA brand.

ViZionair sought to acquire a controlling stake in the company before. In 2011, following a period of sustained loss in profits, ViZionair approached Royal Kingtonian Airways seeking total integration of the RKA brand into the airline. Not wanting to sacrifice its operational independence and identity, the company quickly rejected the offer. However, despite this failed attempt at acquiring the company, both entities soon formed cordial business relations. ViZionair soon established a substantial presence within Kington Langley as a result.

Expected by international observers to be one of the largest acquisitions in civil aviation history, the integration of Royal Kingtonian Airways' operations will cement ViZionair's position as the world's largest active airline in terms of established routes and passengers served. Royal Kingtonian Airways, in turn, will gain access to previously untapped international destinations in some of the world's most lucrative markets and receive substantial investment from one of the world's most economically successful companies.

Sir Robert attempted to dispel any notion of a sell-out in his announcement and confirmed that he shall continue to play a leading role in the administration of RKA under ViZionair. However, despite constant reassurance, public opinion on the takeover remains divided. The government has announced its support for the move, encouraging increased competitiveness within the Kingtonian economy. The Labour Party accuses the government of unjustly permitting the sale of the national flag carrier, arguing that its status and history justifies any move to protect it from foreign acquisition. A spokesperson from the Royalist Conservative Party responded to the statement made by his Labour counterpart by branding the party's stance as "arrogant, protectionist and dangerous to economic growth"

Court Tables Turn
No matter how hard the defense tries it seems as if they have already gotten him for driving the tank and for resisting arrest. The fact that it is already seeming this way probably means that he will be found guilty. This is probably the reason that he didn't request counsel as he knew that it would soon become obvious that he was in the wrong.
Why didn't he plead guilty? Well, we have done some research and we believe that he thought that he thought he would have gotten a sentence that would last his full natural life. So, he just thought why shouldn't they have to waste their time first. -Eric Sent Kone
Upcoming Elections
With elections just around the corner we have been working on some polls. Our polls are showing that most incumpants will be keeping their jobs. Although, the battle almost every position is still going on. Let us hope that whoever come to power does not shut the media down. -Eric Sent Kone
