Leanorian Armed Forces Mission Statement

"The Mission of the Armed Forces of Leanore is to protect the Leanorians way of life, Leanore's land, and Leanore's interests in peace time and in war time. The Armed Forces of Leanore must be physically and mentally ready for war, have a high degree of military effectiveness. Their capability must meet requirements for time of war and crisis, and must perform military tasks to ensure the safety of Leanore's citizens. All tasks below must be performed professionally."

Peacetime Security:The Armed Forces of Leanore must be able to perform peacetime operations. This includes:

*Assisting law enforcement in times of crisis/natural disasters.

*Protection of the current government and people in power.

*Military Aid to other governments that share an alliance with The Federation of Leanore.

*Security of all territories not on the mainland of the Federation of Leanore.


Branches of the Armed Forces of Leanore
The Armed Forces of Leanore are divided into these five branches:

The Imperial Leanorian Army
The Imperial Leanorian Navy
The Imperial Leanorian Air Force
The Imperial Leanorian Special Forces
The Imperial Leanorian Coast Guard

Total: 1,345,000 (2,345,232,132 to be added due to the Conscription Act of 2014)
Active Duty: 455,000 (252,000 to be added by October of 2014.)
Reserve: 890,000
Available Manpower: 23,500,000
Budget for 2014: 5,546,783,450 Universal Dollars (Over 3 billion dollars added due to the Conscription Act of 2014.)


The Armed Forces of Leanore Ranks

Private (Pictures will be uploaded later) (E-1)

A private is the lowest rank in the Armed Forces of Leanore. The equivalent to this rank is Seaman Recruit for the Imperial Navy, and Airman Recruit in the Imperial Air Force. The Leanorian Special Forces equivalent to this rank is "Recruit". In 1965, it was changed from "Private" to keep the Leanorian Special Forces different and unique than the other branches.

Private First Class (E-2)

A Private First Class is an E-2 in the Armed Forces of Leanore. A soldier must serve in the Imperial Army for 6 months before being promoted to this rank, or must have been present in battle. In the Imperial Navy, this rank is classified as "Seaman Apprentice", while the Imperial Air Force classify this paygrade as "Airman First Class". However, the Imperial Special Force have decided to classify this rank as "Recruit First Class, or R1C for abbreviation terms.

Lance Corporal (E-3)

A Lance Corporal must serve in the Imperial Armed Forces for over two and a half years and must have completed the Non-Commissioned Officers Application Exam to be promoted to E-4. Most Lance Sergeants are put in small leadership positions such as fireteam leader or Element Leader. The Imperial Navy classifies this rank as "Seaman" while the Imperial Air Force classifies this rank as "Senior Airman". The Imperial Special Forces classifies this rank as "Corporal".

Lance Sergeant (E-4)

A Lance Sergeant is the very first Non-Commissioned Officer rank in the Imperial Armed Forces. Any soldier that holds this rank is established as an assistant squad leader or squad leader. A soldier must serve at least three years as an E-3 to be promoted to Lance Sergeant. The Imperial Navy classifies this rank as "Petty Officer Third Class" while the Imperial Air Force classify this rank as "Air Corporal".

Sergeant (E-5)

A Sergeant is a squad leader or a platoon sergeant that has served in the Imperial Armed Forces for over 6 years. A Sergeant must pass the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Application Exam to be promoted to E-6. The Imperial Navy classifies this rank as "Petty Officer Second Class" while the Imperial Air Force classifies this rank as "Air Sergeant".

Senior Sergeant (E-6)

A Senior Sergeant is a company sergeant that has served in the Imperial Armed Forces for over 8 years. This rank is highly respected in the Armed Forces for it's hard duty and reputation as drill instructors in basic training. This is the first rank to be classified as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. The Imperial Navy classifies this rank as "Petty Officer First Class" while the Imperial Air Force classify this rank as "Senior Air Sergeant".

Master Sergeant (E-7)

A Master Sergeant is a Senior Non-Commisisoned Officer that has served in the Imperial Armed Forces for over 12-14 years. Master Sergeants are given tasks such as teaching and observing, rather than doing the actual work themselves. The Imperial Navy classify this rank as "Chief Petty Officer" while the Imperial Air Force classify this rank as "Master Sergeant" as well.

Sergeant Major (E-8)

A Sergeant Major is the most senior rank in the Imperial Armed Forces and must have served for over 18-20 years. Sergeant Major's are highly respected in the enlisted community for their achievements to this rank. Most Sergeant Majors are saluted when outdoors from other junior enlisted members to show their respect to this rank. The Imperial Navy classify this rank as "Senior Chief Petty Officer" while the Imperial Air Force classify this rank as "Chief Master Sergeant".

Warrant Officer (W-1)

A Warrant Officer has received a warrant commission from His Majesty, King William Atherton, and has passed the Warrant Officer Training School. This school, abbreviated as [I]WOTS[I], provides Warrant Officer Cadets with the leadership training they need to earn a warrant commission from the crown. A Warrant Officer may be a pilot, or an assistant officer within any branch of the Imperial Armed Forces. A Warrant Officer has the capability to be selected for Officer Candidate School (OCS) after serving 4 years as this rank.

Officer Candidate

An Officer Candidate is in training to become an officer within the Imperial Armed Forces. Officer Candidates must spend four years at a University inside Leanore to become an O-1. These Officer Candidates will be trained and mentored by Senior Officers to assure that the next generation of warriors are capable of defeating any enemy. The Imperial Navy classifies this rank as "Midshipman".

Junior Lieutenant (O-1)

A Junior Lieutenant is the very first officer paygrade in the Imperial Armed Forces. ((Work In Progress))
