Lzher Embassy Programme
To: The world at large
My friends,
To my knowledge, Lzherusskia has never had an embassy programme, and this pains me. For decades, we willingly secluded ourselves from all and sundry, desperately trying to prove that the Lzher people needed nobody to survive and flourish, but seclusion is no way to live in this modern day. There is a whole enormous world of diplomacy to see and in the interests of finding friends, allies and occasional bitter sporting rivalries, I would like to cordially welcome the nations of the world to establish an embassy in the Fatherland.
There will be those of you who will object to the idea of establishing diplomatic relations with a nation that takes pride in it's status as a dictatorship, and I understand. The word "dictator" does have a number of unfortunate connotations, earned from centuries of psychopaths and madmen rising to absolute power and allowing it to corrupt them absolutely, but in Lzherusskia, none of this is the case. I do not oppress my people - I work tirelessly to ensure they enjoy as high a standard of living as I can possibly achieve - and I would like to demonstrate that dictatorship does not mean tyranny.
Embassies will be established in our capital city of Smyslova, where land has been set aside for some time. Besides being the political centre of the nation, Smyslova is one of our foremost business hubs and full of the greatest displays of Lzher culture to be found anywhere in Lzherusskia.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours,
His Eminence, Herald of the Revolution, Commissar Marat Yurievich Revyakin
