I am flexible on my ethnicity based on where on the map I will be placed, but as far as culture our people have a strong value of freedom, entrepreneurship and charity.

I am flexible on this as well, but I was thinking my people were refugees of a major dictatorship (I am flexible on the time period) and they decided to travel through the mountains to get away from it, they settled on this land where they deeply valued their freedom and have ever since.

Commander Mike Tam of The Texas Land Forces, who came to Nassau to oversee the Texas operations in the caribbeans went up to the podium which lay upon a beach in Nassau where 10,000 Mercenaries waited to be given orders. He gave the following speech.
“Welcome to Nassau or should I say welcome to Texas!!! I hope you have enjoyed your time here thus far, I know I have! Your mission here is simple, be ready should you be needed, but if that need does not arise be a good representative of what The Constitutional Republic of Texas is. You shall henceforth be known as “The Good Samaritan Division” all of your patches shall be replaced with Texas patches, Division Patches and Unit patches as designated by your Operation Commander [who is one of the mercenaries]. You shall be given a kit which shall include your new patches, Your Texas Defense Force Contracter ID’s, your maps of the area, your pocket Bibles, your Texas Pocket Constitutions, your Texas Code of Military Rules and Regulations, your copy of The Ethics of War: Classic and Contemporary Readings, and your copy of The Texas illiad. You are to help anyone who needs it rather they are lost, building a house, drowning at the beach, in a burning building, trying to fix a flat or need help rubbing sunscreen on there back. Each one of your ID’s will get you 20% discounts at all businesses within Texas territory and you may use that discount to buy for a citizen in need and Texas will reimburse you fully, however if you use that as a flirtation tool, we will leave it up to your commanders to punish you. We have no problem with you walking around in your weapon, just please remember the three rules of gun safety [He took the time to call on three different people to give him each of the rules]. That being said any unethical crimes committed by any of you will be reported and face a trial in a Texas Court as required by The Texas court. Don’t think being mercenaries exempts you from the law. The nations were reluctant at first but they knew Texas would keep its promise and that if they didn't accept that it would be inevitable for them to be forcefully taken over by a socialist nation, who would take their wealth. Texas sent a fleet [consisting of 1 aircraft carrier, 2 destroyers, 3 submarines and 4 cruisers] to defend the Persian Gulf. They sent 200 soldiers to Kuwait, 100 to Bahrain, 100 to Quater and 400 to The United Arab Emirates . National Demonym: Damverlander
Nation Population: 28,520,000

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: Fairly mountainous, reminiscent of Cascadia in northwestern US. Pine forests are many and large. Fairly rainy in the spring and summer.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Damverland is mostly an English-esque nation, with various other European ethnicites and some Asian minorities. In the cities and on the coasts, people are quite liberal, looking down at the more conservative, 'redneck' population of the mountains and forested regions of Damverland.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Damverland came about from a wave of colonists westward. They suffered serious hardships in the new lands they lived in, but managed to pull through until the end. Their mother country slowly lost their grip on these colonies, until they were now fully independent. These colonies were now divided and squabbling amongst themselves. Eventually, a great war broke out between them, until the sole remaining power managed to conquer the others, unifying the lands under one government. This new nation was thereby known as Damverland, named after the legendary Tomas Damver, reputedly the first man to set foot in Damverland.

In the early 20th century, Leutland was in an economic depression and lost a war against a neighbour with comparatively large casualties, triggering mass unrest which eventually spilled over into revolution. In the ensuing chaos, the Korporatists succeeded in seizing control of the country, laying down the foundation for the modern Leutish state.

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: Most of Tenburg is green, rolling hills, with the Driskoll Mountains running like a spine up the eastern border. In the northeast is the massive, ancient Bittermoss Forest. The western border follows along the ocean. In terms of Climate, Tenburg is relatively moderate, similar to Germany.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: The main ethnicities of Tenburg are based on Anglo-Celtic (Ireland, Scotland, England etc.) peoples, although anybody of any creed or color is welcome. The culture is mainly inspired by Ireland, and the two official language are English and Gaelic.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Tenburg as it is known today was originally a colony of the ruthless Atoryan Empire, along with many others. The oppression was so brutal that eventually, two colonies, Brothens and Tenburg, rebelled against the Empire. After a brutal war, they won their freedom, and in 2016, Tenburg officially became its own sovereign nation.

The people rebelled 10 years ago and has since openly hated the WA for it's lack of humanity. Since then the Federal Republic has become known for it's lack of corruption, the culture playing into that. Smuean history has been rather neutral, world war two saw them helping the allies against the axis powers including Allister Brown who became a triple ace during the war.

Port Royal, Tenburg, 15:28hrs

Acting Prime Minister James Tucker sat at the head of a long table, scanning the somber faces of the generals and admirals of what was left of the military. Many of them had been promoted multiple levels very quickly, as Gen. O’Sullivan had run off with many of the highest-ranking officials. Thankfully, he and the Admiral of the Fleet, Tom McGuinness, had never been the greatest of workmates. The Navy, however small it was, was still under their control, but three quarters of the army and one-third of the air force had joined the PUF. If James looked beyond the people in front of him, he could see the smoke columns from the battle raging in the city, so dark it almost blocked the sun. He could hear the gun fire.

“You’re sure all civilians have been evacuated?” he asked.
“Yes sir,” General Colm Hill replied.
“Right…” James sighed heavily. “And Representative Lester?”
“She’s under the care of the Guard,” General Jude Cork assured him. The Guard was the most elite unit in the region. If there was anyone who could keep that fiery little woman from getting herself killed, it was that unit. They needed her alive; she would lead whatever was left of this country.
“Bloody wonderful that she’d be the only one left, fucking stuck-up toffee pudding bitch…” James mumbled. The rest of the Congress had been assassinated, or were PUF sympathizers. In fact, the latter were the majority. The irony of all this wasn’t lost on anyone in the room: if General O’Sullivan had waited around long enough, the Congress probably would have voted him in as the first Prime Minister. He could have ruled with an iron fist as emperor for life. But he was an impulsive bastard.

And that quality was what made this plan so likely to work. That, and he had always been one to disregard the Navy.

“Generals, order your men into full retreat. Tell them to fall back and meet with the Guard. The protection of Miss Lester is paramount.”
“Yes sir.” He promptly went outside into the hallway to make a phone call.
James looked to the new Marshal of the Air Force, Kevin Lynch. “And keep your aircraft out of this airspace and away from any combat. But they need to be in range of the Pierce.”
“All taken care of, sir.”
“Very good.” James pulled his silver cigarette case out of his jacket pocket, took out a cigarette and put it up to his mouth. The lighter sat next to an already-full and still-smoldering ashtray. He picked it up and lit the cigarette, taking a long, healthy drag before addressing the next issue. “Admiral, is the Michael Pierce in position?”
“Aye sir,” Admiral McGuinness replied. He had given the Iowa¬—class battleship a location to sit that wasn’t conspicuous.
“Good.” He took another drag from his cigarette.
“What do we do now, sir?”
James blew smoke out through his nose. “Take a walk.”

3.52 kilometers south of Cardiff, Tenburg, 16:02hrs

“Thank you very much again, Mrs. Nelson,” Representative Myra Lester said gratefully as she sipped tea in her host’s tiny kitchen, “I understand that this is all very strange— “
“Oh, it’s alright, dear,” the old lady replied with a smile. “War is a strange thing… and people have to do strange things during war.” She paused. “My son fought under General O’Sullivan during the war for independence…”
Myra nodded.
“He was so proud…. He loved the General. Always mused about him in his letters, how great a leader he was. He admired him so much… Honestly, strange as it may seem, I’m glad he died then—he was killed at Crosskeys protecting Michael Pierce, you see—but it just would’ve broken his heart to see what happened to his General.”
Myra nodded slowly as she took another sip of tea. “A leader can be great, but it doesn’t make him a great person. It’s unfortunate he made these decisions, but no one could stop him.”
“That’s right,” Mrs. Nelson agreed.
A soldier came in suddenly through the kitchen door. “Miss Lester?”
“Yes, Guardsman?”
“News from Port Royal… it’s important ma’am.”
She nodded to him. “Do excuse me, Mrs. Nelson.”
“Of course, dear.”
Myra followed the Guardsman through the quaint little cottage and out front. A pair of Lamborghini LM002s sat on the road in front of the house, which looked over a cliff at the ocean, and the eight members of the Tenburgian Guard had been assembled.
She looked past them at the vast ocean, and the sun which hung low over it. “So what’s the news?”
“Ma’am, approximately half an hour ago, the TNV Michael Pierce led a naval bombardment against the PUF. A plan was formulated for a tactical retreat by our forces and to let the PUF secure the city. Then the order came from within the city to bombard it.”
Myra squinted in disbelief. “Who…. Who gave the order?”
“Admiral of the Fleet Tom McGuinness.”
There’s no way he thought of that himself.
“Who formulated that plan?”
“We believe it was James Tucker, ma’am.”
Of course. Only he would come up with something so ridiculous. “Get him on the Sat-phone, if you would.”
“We can’t ma’am; he’s dead.”
The sentence hit her like a ton of bricks. She could feel her stomach sink into her legs. “W-what?”
“The plan being successful hinged on the acting government being a target for O’Sullivan’s army. They stayed in the city to give the order.”
Myra quickly took out a cigarette and lit it with a match, taking a few puffs and drags as she processed the information. Of all the things she saw that self-righteous, pretentious prick doing, killing himself to destroy the enemy was last on the list. “Are they all dead?”
“Yes ma’am.”
She nodded, taking a drag. “And what of O’Sullivan?”
“He’s presumed dead."
"But we don't know for sure?"
"No, but the PUF is in retreat, and our air force is in pursuit.”
“Have them called off.” She dropped the cigarette on the gravel walkway and stepped on it to put it out. “Without O’Sullivan to lead them, most of the soldiers and airmen will split off and go home. We need to focus now on rebuilding. Rebuilding the cities, rebuilding the military, and most importantly, rebuilding the relationship between us and the people… the people and each other.”
“Understood, ma’am.”
Myra turned around and started back to her tea and Mrs. Nelson. “Oh, and Lieutenant?”
“Yes, madam Premier?”
The phrase made her spine shiver.
“I want one of the carriers renamed. After James Tucker.”

“Thank you very much again, Mrs. Nelson,” Representative Myra Lester said gratefully as she sipped tea in her host’s tiny kitchen, “I understand that this is all very strange— “
“Oh, it’s alright, dear,” the old lady replied with a smile. “War is a strange thing… and people have to do strange things during war.” She paused. “My son fought under General O’Sullivan during the war for independence…”
Myra nodded.
“He was so proud…. He loved the General. Always mused about him in his letters, how great a leader he was. He admired him so much… Honestly, strange as it may seem, I’m glad he died then—he was killed at Crosskeys protecting Michael Pierce, you see—but it just would’ve broken his heart to see what happened to his General.”
Myra nodded slowly as she took another sip of tea. “A leader can be great, but it doesn’t make him a great person. It’s unfortunate he made these decisions, but no one could stop him.”
“That’s right,” Mrs. Nelson agreed.
A soldier came in suddenly through the kitchen door. “Miss Lester?”
“Yes, Guardsman?”
“News from Port Royal… it’s important ma’am.”
She nodded to him. “Do excuse me, Mrs. Nelson.”
“Of course, dear.”
Myra followed the Guardsman through the quaint little cottage and out front. A pair of Lamborghini LM002s sat on the road in front of the house, which looked over a cliff at the ocean, and the eight members of the Tenburgian Guard had been assembled.
She looked past them at the vast ocean, and the sun which hung low over it. “So what’s the news?”
“Ma’am, approximately half an hour ago, the TNV Michael Pierce led a naval bombardment against the PUF. A plan was formulated for a tactical retreat by our forces and to let the PUF secure the city. Then the order came from within the city to bombard it.”
Myra squinted in disbelief. “Who…. Who gave the order?”
“Admiral of the Fleet Tom McGuinness.”
There’s no way he thought of that himself.
“Who formulated that plan?”
“We believe it was James Tucker, ma’am.”
Of course. Only he would come up with something so ridiculous. “Get him on the Sat-phone, if you would.”
“We can’t ma’am; he’s dead.”
The sentence hit her like a ton of bricks. She could feel her stomach sink into her legs. “W-what?”
“The plan being successful hinged on the acting government being a target for O’Sullivan’s army. They stayed in the city to give the order.”
Myra quickly took out a cigarette and lit it with a match, taking a few puffs and drags as she processed the information. Of all the things she saw that self-righteous, pretentious prick doing, killing himself to destroy the enemy was last on the list. “Are they all dead?”
“Yes ma’am.”
She nodded, taking a drag. “And what of O’Sullivan?”
“He’s presumed dead."
"But we don't know for sure?"
"No, but the PUF is in retreat, and our air force is in pursuit.”
“Have them called off.” She dropped the cigarette on the gravel walkway and stepped on it to put it out. “Without O’Sullivan to lead them, most of the soldiers and airmen will split off and go home. We need to focus now on rebuilding. Rebuilding the cities, rebuilding the military, and most importantly, rebuilding the relationship between us and the people… the people and each other.”
“Understood, ma’am.”
Myra turned around and started back to her tea and Mrs. Nelson. “Oh, and Lieutenant?”
“Yes, madam Premier?”
The phrase made her spine shiver.
“I want one of the carriers renamed. After James Tucker.”
“Yes Ma’am.”
“People need to know the sacrifice he made… even if he was an insufferable prick.”
