Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: The climate is similar to southern Cascadia and the northeast of the United States, geography is fairly similar to southern Cascadia and the northeast of the United States.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Orion is a melting pot mainly composed of American, British, Irish, and Norwegian culture. Jewish and German culture is involved in the melting pot, and many other cultures are also involved in the melting pot due to relaxed immigration standards. Ethnicities vary, and the vast majority of Orionans have more than a few ethnicities in their family tree.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Orion was founded in the 1820s by what I'm imagining to be a group of settlers. The present system was introduced in the early 1830s, and Orion had a period of high population growth and immigration from around 1870 to 1940. I'm imagining Orion was more or less neutral in the Great Wars, though in the Second Great War it might have had limited participation and could have sent an expeditionary force during the middle of the war. The current government was elected in 2013. Orion could have had a few border skirmishes or problems with its neighbours depending on where it is located, though I have a fairly good idea of where I would like to locate Orion.

What percentage of your nation’s GDP is spent on the military?: I'm going to take GDP here as 'budget' - the military budget is around 80 billion. 6.7% or so.
How would you describe your military’s technology?: The technology of the military is about as advanced as a modern European military, though some departments are more advanced and receive more funding than others.

Please give a brief description of your climate and geography: Saintland is an island nation around the size of RL Iceland located near the north pole. As such, the climate is very cold in the winter and still relatively cold in the summer. Snow is a frequent occurrence, covering the landscape for months every year.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Most Sanctii are pale-skinned with blonde hair and are considered conventionally attractive. They look quite a bit like RL Scandinavians. Culturally, Saintland is Christian and both Saintlands have an established Latin-rite Church known as the Church of Saintland, though both Churches regard the other as heretics. Of the two, the eastern Church, which is officially called the Fundamentalist True Church of Iesus Christus, is the more traditional while the western Church, officially the True Church of Iesus Christus, has modernized somewhat in recent years. While most Sanctii women still cover their heads, even in the West, doing so is mandatory under the laws of the East. Both Saintlands also share an obsession with sports and have extremely large numbers of world-class athletes, on a per-capita basis, though the East retains the traditional prohibition against competitive women's sports while the West fields mixed-gender sports teams at the international level.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Saintland was founded in medieval times by a faction that broke away from the then-unified Christian Church over a Christological dispute. Regarded as heretics in their homeland (now part of the Free Republics), they fled to the north, eventually landing on Saintland and forming a new society there. Sanctii spies regularly visited their ancestral homeland for centuries, bringing back knowledge of new inventions to keep Saintland technologically current but otherwise they avoided notice until the past few hundred years. Until the past few years, Saintland had never fought a war and had never had any disputes whatsoever over the succession, but that has changed in recent years. King Paulus XV, as part of an effort to spread the Church of Saintland to other lands, sought to increase Saintland's international profile, largely through international sports competition. While the effort succeeded to a large extent, King Paulus XV was killed by an assassin while watching the championship game of World Bowl XXII in the Free Republics. After his death, King Petrus XX became King of Saintland and sought to modernize Saintland. This met opposition from the Patriarch of St. Petrus, Nicolaus V, and from the King's younger brother Andreas. Eventually, while King Petrus was out of the kingdom competing in a World Bowl, Patriarch Nicolaus declared him a heretic and declared Andreas the true King of Saintland. After the attempts of Andreas and his allies to conquer the world failed, he was forcibly removed as King by an occupying army and Petrus restored. However, recently the Free Republics decided to invade Saintland to restore Andreas to the throne as their puppet while almost every significant individual in the Sanctii government was out of the Kingdom. Gregoryisgodistani troops came to the defend of Saintland in a war that ended in a stalemate, with a border between the two rival Saintlands being drawn right down the middle of St. Paulus, the largest city in Saintland.

The Kings of the two Saintlands, each of which claims to be the sole legitimate government of all of Saintland, are brothers. Petrus is the legitimate King based on the succession, but the East claims that Andreas is the only one of the sons of King Paulus XV who hasn't fallen in heresy and thus the sole member of the family eligible to be King.

A large mountain range goes right through the nation, on one side of the range are lush fields and grasslands and the ocean.
On the other side is a large jungle and hundreds of rivers. The southern mountain range is sharp, cold, and steep. The mountains of the north and midlands are just as tall but rounded, warm, and humid.
Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture:
The people of Crevane are Native American and speak English and Quechua. Houses in Crevane are colonial Spanish, not many buildings are over 5 stories tall. What does stand out are the
large ancient pyramids that scatter around the bigger Crevanean cities. People eat fish and raze some of the greatest lamb in the world, wine is common and cows cheese is also made. Beer is the country's national past time. Westernization is seen in the clothing and modern architecture, aswell as the legal and judicial system.
Please give a brief description of your national history: Crevane is an ancient empire, dating back 3,000 years ago with the 12 city states of Desik, Asrin, Kemu, Yune, Tanka,
Nolla, Maqiko, Achni, Palcas, Chacajes, Lanuche and Gurijes. The 12 states were all alone in there world, with a thick jungle and an ocean isolating them from the world. The twelve states had nothing to do but contend to there own people and communicate with the other nations, as they did, all twelve cultures from the different nations intertwined into the known Crevane culture. The twelve states lived in peace for 1400 years, then the most powerful city state, the Achni, invaded the Lanuche. This caused the twelve states to divide into 2 camps, the Achni side and the Lanuche side. A large war commenced, with the states of Nolla and Yune disappearing and all the other states becoming weakened. The Desik and Asrin, however, kept most of their armies in hiding, waiting for the other states to weaken. Both states started a new campaign, taking over the other 8 states with ease. The Desik and Asrin were the only two nations left in there part of the known world. War never broke out between the two nations however. Both nations knew that a war would push the already famished and unstable lands over the edge and lead to civil war. So instead Desik and Asrin married their royal families together and became two friendly nations. after 800 years of this peaceful union,the Asrin and Desik royal lineage was so close that when the Desikan King died without an heir, the closest heir was the prince of Asrin. The king of Asrin put his son on the throne and proclaimed him the prince of Desik and Asrin. When the king died the prince united the two kingdoms into the country Crevane. 200 years later and the western explorers discovered the Crevanean Empire and tried to conquer it and still its great wealth. The crevaneans felt the affect of the westerners and many died from disease, others from the sword. But so did the western explorers. The remaining Crevaneans went into the mountains with all the wealth of the nation and lured the westerners into the mountains to find them.When war parties went in, they were ambushed by Crevanean warriors and were killed and their bodies looted. The Crevaneans used the better weapons and leaned how to ride horses. Soon they ready to strike back. thousands of Crevaneans charged out of the mountains and fought the small armies that the foreign nation garrisoned in the Crevanean cities. They ran the invaders out and were victorious in protecting their lands. The explorers and invaders also left behind western technology and and few scholars learning the language of Crevane. The scholars were forced to teach Crevanean intellectuals western technology. Out of Crevanes westernization the modern country was formed.

John said, adjusting to a more comfortable position in the hard metal chair he sat in, while letting his voice slip into a heavier accent. "I'll try to recoun' ev'rthin' ta the bes' of m'ability."

"I was sittin' in the chair, in a room at the end of a warehouse. One of those meetin' rooms. Some guys from the Inverness department was there, and we had the "informan' " with us there too. Little pipsqueak snitch he was, ready to spill every damn bean he had abou' the mob. I remember one of my guys getting real pissed at him for talkin' too much and went and punched the shit outta his face. Took us a good hour to get him back to." John chuckled lightly.

John got up from his chair when he saw the informant come back to consciousness, taking the can of beer from the table and emptying its contents on the man's head. The informant sputtered and tried to move around, only to remember the restraints he still had.

"Alright, buddy. Let's keep it short and sweet this time, shall we? Where's the buy?" McDougall demanded, pulling the man's beer-soaked hair back, forcing his head to face him. The man breathed forcefully through his nose, trying to empty it of the intruding liquid, then attempted to speak with his swollen left jaw.

"14! 14! Warehouf 14! It'll be Domhall Cargo!" The informant burst out, hoping to not get punched again. McDougall glanced at Stevenson, the guy in charge of shipments in the port, who was nodding, affirming that there was indeed scheduled activity in that warehouse. Satisfied with the informant's answer, John let go of the man's hair, and came around to his front. He pulled up his trouser legs slightly, then crouched to get eye-to-eye with the informant. The informant's head rolled around a little after the hair was released, then his eyes met with John's.

"You a Catholic?" McDougall asked. The man nodded, not speaking out of fear of more retaliation. John pointed to one of his police and to the man, which the officer understood.

"In the name of the Father, and of the Son..." the officer began, making the appropriate motions in front of the informant, whose eyes clenched in pleading with his God. John turned and walked away, flanked by more officers, heading to Warehouse 14. If Inverness' people were any good, they'd already have positions set up. Before John got into the car, he heard a muffled gunshot.

"On the ground! On the fucking ground!" yelled an officer of the Inverness team, brandishing an M-16. He, along with most of his team, popped out from behind the cargo crates in the rear of the building. They had already dispatched two hostiles in the office at the back of the building before setting up position there. John saw it all unfold, as the assault vehicle he rode in braked rapidly, kicking up dust to the side of the warehouse, probably blinding the hostiles stationed there. In all, McDougall figured there were about 10 to 15, just about what the Inverness guys said. He also saw the crates of packages of white, probably the drugs he had been chasing all year.

Shots were fired from inside the warehouse, though from the car, McDougall couldn't figure out who it was coming from. Not too long after, he figured it out as a bullet struck the windshield of the car. Luckily, it was bulletproof. The assault vehicle skidded to a stop, and all the doors simultaneously opened, revealing a morass of men with M-16s of their own. John yelled from behind the car door with a megaphone, demanding that everyone get down to the floor.

Unsurprisingly, despite the compliance of many of their fellow mobsters, a few opted to choose death over dishonor. Bullets sprayed across the warehouse, some lodging themselves in wood supports, metal sheeting, others ricocheting off metal plates. One by one, the two police teams dispatched the hostiles firing away at them, going for headshots. They'd have enough survivors and rats to get the information they needed.

As John tried to get a stable aim at one of the better-concealed mobsters, wedging his gun between the car and the door, taking cover behind the door itself, a bullet dinged against his helmet, sending him onto the ground. A loud ringing filled his ears, and dark spots filled his vision. McDougall wasn't sure what was happening anymore, but tried to roll over onto his back to no avail. He could see his men firing away, crouched and looking down their sights. Slowly, he came back to his normal state, but everything was still dizzy. He tried getting up, but his right arm fell out from under him, sending him face first back into the dirt.

His right eye hurt like mad, and everything kept moving much more than it should, spinning, shifting. McDougall tried again, lifting himself up by the car door's handle, ditching the assault rifle in his left hand, and shuffled back into the car. He noticed that there was much more gunfire than there should be, and a bullet struck his leg. Strange, he thought. The bullet struck him higher up on his leg than the car door should have allowed. It also struck him in his left leg, like it was fired from behind the car, not in front of it like it should have been fired from the warehouse.

Next thing he knew, a hand grabbed the back of his vest and pulled him backward. John slammed back onto the ground a third time, on his back. When he looked up into the sky, a face appeared. In his periphery, McDougall could see figures moving toward the warehouse, but not adorned in police gear. Mobsters. The face he saw was none other than the boss, Emilio.

"You..." John strained, spitting out dirt and saliva, "... motherfucker."

The Kingdom of Gorospi Maridelya for nearly half a century after its creation was ruled by one man and one family - the Maridelyan Dynasty. From there, devolution of the Crown's power over its territories was commenced and rapidly diminished the King's voice over internal affairs. This remained interrupted until the first female sovereign, Mary I, was crowned Queen of Gorospi Maridelya.

Finally one of the families, Astile, brokered a marriage between their heir and Queen Mary I. Other than having the first female sovereign, the Kingdom had its first legislature composing of, exclusively, the nobility, which would be the traditional but not the only source for leaders of the Queen's government at the time.

The Astile-Maridelyan Dynasty endured with a century of progress. The Kingdom was just as much as with the world.

The Astile-Maridelyan line was broken when King Christian III died without a living heir, after spending most of his life killing each and every of his dynastic members for alleged treason, ergo dooming the Astile-Maridelyans, going as far as killing his own children, and, in two marriages, his consorts.

The throne was given to the 13th Count of Larenk Steed, Joseph Barnel of the Noble House of Lorv, a lowly blue-blood who rose up from his inglorious and comedic societal repose serving as an insignificant state merchant and missionary.

The Lorv Dynasty began with King Joseph I, who immediately decided to use the name "Maridelyan" into his dynasty. And so it was then "Lorv-Maridelyan." This line of kings favoured prosperity over progress and pursued opportunities of it. To them money did not matter to most technology and science, except those that would excel in efficiency and organization. And that it all depends on one's faith on God. The less one is sinful, the more one would prosper. The more one is faithful, makes one to become empowered in the divine mercy of the Almighty Father. Then faith turns against them when paranoia and prejudice grew from fear and hatred against those who stand in a different side from God and to those who are simply different from other people.

A crisis of morality and human dignity ensued. The last Lorv-Maridelyan king, Caster II, abdicated in panic of the crisis and in favour of his heir presumptive the Grand Duke of Sintam, Alars-Ricard of the Noble House of Sainters. The new king choose to not use his personal name but his predecessor's, therefore he became Caster III.

The Sainters Dynasty refused to include "Maridelyan" in its name however, despite of its first to have been reverent to the last Lorv-Maridelyan. Their line did not rouse anything new or anything old. This line in fact favoured absolute neutrality in all causes, affairs, and matters, leaving these unsolved, unsolvable, or "practically" solved.

King Joseph IV, last of the Sainters Dynasty, was ousted by his own legislature over a mental illness the king had to endure for the rest of his life. He was replaced by a regent, his disowned daughter who took up a name for herself, who went on to become Mary II of the Ato-Maridelyan Dynasty.

Queen Mary II ushered in rushed change. Instituting the Kingdom's first judiciary, the Sovereign's Court of Justice, and allowing the rich and the middlemen (the middle class in Gorospi Maridelya) into the national legislature in an election. It was followed by more elections for her government and other offices that were usually held by landed and blood-right merit. A new order was about to take place.

An order that was about to fall thanks to the guards of the current order. Queen Mary's enlightened reign was ended in a coup instigated by the nobility and the clergy. The Queen, a puppet, her reforms were ceased from action and all institutions thereof were abolished without question. From there until now, the Kingdom is under the effective stewardship of the Church of Gorospi Maridelya manipulated by nobles.

All cover is heads except the President, maybe freeze in fear,but the blood never lies. The president put a hand on his chest and say a last time.
"Peace, equality, unity" and fall over the table. 4 mens armed appear, the last 3 councilors are put on front of the window and shot on the head one by one. Suddenly the Council is invaded by a mob, everything was planed, a coup is upon us...

Please give a brief description of your national history: The modern state of Agualados was formed in 1951 following a communist revolution which ousted the previous administration of the sitting President, Gaspar Dutra. The Communists worked alongside the Vastava Pact to build a modern workers paradise. The first leader of the People's Republic, Carlito Falcão, then embarked on a famous Modernisation campaign, which led to the deaths of millions and ultimately leaving the nation an economic failure. A counter-revolution in 1973 resulted in the further deaths of thousands as the government ruthlessly put down the counter-revolutionaries.

Since the crackdowns of the 1970s, the communist party has not become any gentler, with multiple work camps scattered throughout the rainforest, where political prisoners and dissenters are put to use by the government. Although many of its more brutal methods occur behind closed doors, to avoid more serious diplomatic implications, and to pursue closer ties with the Vastava Pact.

As Interim Minister of Recruitment, I will evaluate the two current standing applicants.

Kielmt, you may know me from Admayora as 'Palermo and Lovarium'. That being said, I know you. As it is, I don't believe that you would be the right fit for the region, but you may continue applying if it is your wish to join. You will need to complete a more substantial roleplay scenario, to fully grasp your skills in this field. The (completely fictional) prompt is as follows:

Kielmt takes the form of a small Kuwait-like country sandwiched between two larger powers, a democratic-capitalist power, and a authoritarian-socialist one. Kielmt has a small coast, which allows it to conduct trade overseas. However, there are weather forecast models showing that a strong storm system is threatening to flood Kielmt via storm surge. This could have serious implications for the Kielmtian economy and/or political stability, especially with such influential neighbors.

Roleplay out one of the following: The political workings of your government trying to devise a way to block the storm surge and/or deal with and minimize the impending aftermath. OR the aftermath in which the storm surge has completely wiped out Kielmtian ports and coastal infrastructure, and the ensuing political instability that your government now has to deal with.

Agualados/Rodina, I also know you, and seeing as you are a former member of Atlas, you know how this all works. However, do note the new activity requirements - one good quality roleplay post each month, minimum. That being said, your application is pretty good. One potential concern that I might have is about the military spending - with a military that size with that much spending (and type of equipment), do note that much of your reserve will likely be underequipped. Moving on, I suggest you try to find a plot nearby Merala and Badeluna - you have some excellent historical and RP potential there, especially if you get near Aufwachen (the notNazi state). Please give a brief description of your climate and geography:A small tropical island 40km east of Bahtar, the Island is mostly rainforest, and has a central mountain range running throughout the centre of the island.

Please give a brief description of your national ethnicities and culture: Most of the residents of the island are Grozyar in ethnicity, and the official language is Grozyar, but it also has a significant Alfashiri minorities, mostly from Bahtar and central Alfashir.

Please give a brief description of your national history: Agualadös was first discovered by Grozyar explorers in the mid 1800s, and was quickly colonized as one of Grozav Inima's first, and one of her only, colonies. It became a popular destination for wealthy aristocrats, with it's tropical beaches and crystal clear waters. Following the decolonization effort of the post-first great war, Agualadös had it's first brief flirt as an Independent Republic. The economy quickly collapsed, and it official rejoined Grozav Inima in 1939 when Iosef Aur began the repatriation process of all former Grozyar Territories.

Agualadös was then granted independence again in 1949, after the conclusion of the Second Great War, and a Stasnovan-backed Communist government was installed in the capital city of Vízöld to maintain order in the nation, which was near anarchic following the Grozyar setbacks of the late-war. During the Grozyar Revolutions of the mid-1950s and 1960s, there were similar anti-communist movements in Agualadös. It did not take long for the Vízöld government to crack down on these movements, harshly, as the regimes brutality increased tenfold in the space of a few short years. Work camps were set up on the island to deal with political prisoners.
