Katzen National Police
"A country shall be built by law."

The Katzen National Police is the main police force of Katzen. It is responsible for law enforcement on all Katzen territories except at sea where the Katzen Coast Guard enforces the law. The two services assist each other as needed.

The Katzen Police is under the supreme command of the Director, Department of Justice, and the National Police Commissioner administers the police under authorization of the Director.

The National Police Commissioner maintains inquisitorial divisions, such as the National Security Service, as well as the independently operated Tactical Operations unit, and the Corrections Service. The police is further divided into 9 territorial districts of various sizes and responsibilities.

The Katzen National Police issue the Glock 20 to our officers. Officers are allowed to carry a personal sidearm instead of the issued firearm with their supervisors approval so long as the firearm is chambered in 10mm Auto. Many officers carry 10mm 1911's (Deltas, Kimbers, Dan Wessons, Rock Island are common manufactures).

We issue every officer a Kriss Vector chambered in 10mm Auto. Most officers also request issue of a main battle rifle, the Keltec RFB k-series (same rifle that issued to our military).

Many officers, particularly in rural areas, can request issue of a large bore rifle, the Marlin 1895 in 45-70.

The Katzen National Police utilize a variety of vehicles. Air assets are usually loaned from the Coast Guard or Military.

Our police service is organised into Police and the Marshalcy. The Police are organised by province and deal with by-laws, general law enforcement, drug issues, gambling, bullying and cyberbullying.

Our Marshalcy is also divided by province and deals with transport policing, border and customs, fraud, crowd control, National ID, Coastguard, guarding the military, diplomats and legislatures.

That would be our Happiness Police (HP). They're composed of young unmarried women who act as the religious/morals police among the Kawaiian people, making sure that public life is conducted harmoniously and gracefully.

Are they armed?
No. Violent crime is not really an issue among Kawaiians; the HP are mainly concerned with public morals. The rare cases of major crime are handled by our military, the Lashkar-Tong.

What your police force's main vehicle?
None, HP usually patrol of foot. Kawaiians generally use public transportation rather than private vehicles, so police vehicles are rarely necessary.

What are their uniforms like?
HP uniforms look like elaborate versions of seifuku, the Japanese "sailor suit" girl's school uniforms. (Think "Sailor Moon" here.)

What equipment do they carry?
Every HP officer carries her badge of office: a large wooden mallet decorated with ribbons, symbolizing the triumph of Righteous Virtue over Ecchiness (Perversity).

What special powers do they have?
Fairly broad powers of arrest, actually. Any person caught acting ecchi in public can be Denounced by an HP officer, at which point they are expected under our "public justice" system to surrender themselves to an Elder for Judgment of their case. Since the Kawaiian justice system aims at preserving public harmony, Denunciations are usually rare and only after a person refuses a polite request from the HP officer to knock it off.

Law Enforcement in Saurisia is generally organized on a federalized basis, with most cities, towns, and villages having at least a form of law enforcement ranging from a Police Department which has employees in the thousands to only a single police officer in a tiny village. Individual Counties maintain Sheriff Departments, which handle criminal cases outside of cities and towns. Even Riot Police and SWPU units are organized on a community basis, often being maintained by a particular town or city.

Private security firms do handle tasks of law enforcement, mostly by providing security to politicians, corporate executives, or companies. A few do provide their services to the general public, of course. The exception to the general rule about local law enforcement are the specialized divisions which concern national matters, such as the Special Counter-Terrorism Directorate. They're organized more Federally, though they do have State and Territorial Branches.

For when the Police are unavailable or unable to help in any way, concerned citizens step in to take the law into their own claws and deliver their own brand of justice. After all, Saurisians know that the Police won't always be there to help you and it is best to deal with a situation yourself, despite protests from self-righteous foreigners opposing such a tradition. Of course, vigilantes are supposed to not go overboard in their actions, which might result in innocent people getting harmed or overly brutal methods of apprehension or elimination of the suspect are employed.

The people generally respect our police, especially since officers are encouraged to interact with average citizens. This ensures that both police and the people have good relations. There are, of course, a few assholes (mostly anarchists) who despise the police, but they are generally ignored. There have been a few cases of groping and sexual harassment against female Non-Human officers (mostly because they were clad in shorts), perpetrated largely by Non-Human males though there has been one case where the perp was a Human. He was brutally beaten to death by the female involved (an Allosaurus) as well as several male officers and even a vigilante.

The Urban Security, abbreviated to U-Sec, is the Imperium's regular police force. The name derives from the fact that 98% of the Imperium's population lives in urban areas.

U-Sec troops are easily recognized by their imposing grey powered armor, a modified variant of military-issue Mk.III Crusader-pattern armor suits. Each trooper is equipped with a multitude of lethal and less-lethal weaponry, such as KS-557D multipurpose auto-shotgun with a variety of munitions from incapacitating to high-explosive armor-piercing, a B15 Enforcer handblaster (a high-calibre automatic pistol, basically), flashbang, gas and concussion grenades, a tactical knife, restraints and other powerful tools normally seen only in the hands of SWAT teams in human nations. The purpose of such heavy armament is two-fold - to appear more imposing and intimidating to would-be lawbreakers, and to reassure law-abiding citizens that there is always someone around to protect them from danger.

Urban Security troops travel around in military APCs rather than more conventional police transports. While that may seem overkill to an outsider, on many worlds, where alien invasion or a human uprising is a very real threat, every armored vehicle can be worth it's weight in gold in the early stages before the army and the Auxilia mobilizes to the defense. U-Sec also has a number of other vehicles available for use, from motorcycles to attack gravships.

Even though crime is rare in Sidh society (no surprise if the law is enforced by such imposing men), the police patrols present virtually everywhere. Urban Security troops have the authority to use lethal force if suspects resist or attempt to flee, so citizens and any would-be visitors are strongly urged to cooperate without question if instructed by a U-Sec officer. They do not, however, take this authority lightly - the penalties for illegitimate use of force are quite severe, and a trooper may very well find himself on the wrong side of the labour camp fence together with those he helped to put away there, so law-abiding citizens who are respectful and comply have nothing to fear.

U-Sec troops are usually off-worlders and rotate between cities and worlds frequently. This measure exists to prevent corruption and have law enforcers who are impartial to local affairs.

Every world has it's own Urban Security department headed by a Lord Precentor who works directly under the supervision of the Planetary Governor. Each city in turn has a High Precentor, who supervises the work of ordinary Precentors - heads of the city's many U-Sec precincts. Under them stand the ordinary U-Sec troopers, organized in decuries which each have their own area of responsibility. U-Sec is divided into several branches. The Administrative Division handles most of the paperwork and is responsible for day-to-day operation of U-Sec precincts. Surveillance Division, nicknamed the Spies, handles public surveillance and dispatches patrols as needed. Investigative Division, humorously referred to as the Inquisition, handles the investigations and interrogations, while the Technical Division services equipment. Security Division is by far the largest and consists of the rank-and-file troopers who walk the paces. Security Division is further divided into Sentinels, Enforcers and Suppressors. Sentinels are the ordinary patrolmen who patrol the streets of Imperial cities. The elite Enforcers serve in as SWAT units, being called in to handle situations where conventional troopers are insufficient. The Suppressors are a specialized riot unit, trained and equipped to deal with mass disorder.

U-Sec is rather infamous for roughing up suspects and having complete disregard for collateral damage when operating in the human districts, a reputation they feel rather pleased about - to a Sidh, being feared is indeed better than being loved.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

Are they armed? Of course they are. Handguns and shotguns.
What your police force's main vehicle? Usually a large 4-door sedan, Solarayan equivalent of a Crown-Vic.
What are their uniforms like? Light Blue shirt and black tie, dark blue pants with polished black shoes. Plus a police hat, a classic one.
What equipment do they carry? Aside from their guns, they have a taser, nightstick, radio, handcuffs, basically standard police equipment.
What special powers do they have? None, aside from being able to do their job more freely, unlike in say the U.S. or Canada.

The private Security Companies are a slightly different matter.

Most of the police forces are ran by state and local governments. The Minimal federal police has jurisdiction over the entire realm and they help micromanage the other police forces. It's very decentralized.
Uniforms tend to differ from each department. But, they are the typical peaked cap or beret, with jacket, shirt and a tie. The colors are either blue, green, or black.
Their cars are usually mid-size sedan cars, vans, or small estate wagons. They are usually Mercedes Benz, Skoda, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, and Opel.
They are known as Polizei, Polizia, or Rendorseg.

The Imperial Militia (usually shortened to the Militia) is the policing body of the Empire.

Are they armed?
Yes, they are. The standard equipment across the Militia is a .45 ACP Glock 17 and an Espatoon (a thick wooden baton)

What your police force's main vehicle?
Ye Olde Black Cadillacs (they walk primarily) secondarily they make use of various lorries (trucks) and various cars, there is no standarized model.
What are their uniforms like?
Similar to the Imperial Army Air Corp's service dress uniform (U.S. clone) in black, peaked cap included and lacking in adornments.

What equipment do they carry?
Radio, Cuffs, Notepad (with pencil/pen), Flashlight, Sidearm, Espatoon.

What special powers do they have?
Excluding enforcement of the Law, they've no special powers. Notably however they cannot without Imperial Mandate (a signed and sealed edict from the Imperial Monarch) arrest Nobility.

The Vigils maintain law and order throughout the Republic. They wear red and grey armour and are always armed. The type of weapons they use vary from district to district and from city to city but most are equipped with either shotguns or rifles. They have the power to stop, search and arrest anybody who does not belong to the Triumvirate (senior government figures, aristocrats and important members of powerful corporations). The Triumvirate government usually turns a blind eye to their extreme and frequent brutality. They usually drive around in armoured cars.

The Sigman National Police Forces are the main police force of the country. They were created when the nation was first formed in 1990, and they are known for their civility and skill. Crime rates are very low in Sigma Pryold, so they run operate casually.

The Department of Justice, Bureau of Policing and Investigation, known simply as the NatPol serves as the primary civilian, nationwide police force of W3. Overall policing is shared with the W3 Maritine Patrol, who handle policing within national waters.

Are they armed?
Yes, they are. The standard equipment across the NatPol is the Glock Model 34 and a Multi-Baton, a Baton designed to be both a blunt weapon and a non-lethal stun baton. Officers may, during their academy training, certify in a variety of pistols and can choose to carry something other then the Glock. SPTs (Specialized Police Teams) have additional training and carry H&K MP5's as their standard weapon. Officers with Shotgun Certification are issued Benelli M4 Super 90s with Bean Bag Launcher Attachments, kept in their patrol cars.

What your police force's main vehicle?
Due to significant terrain differences throughout W3, the Primary Patrol Car the NatPol is the Chevy Tahoe 9C1. Urban Units utilize the Rear-Wheel Drive Police Pursuit Vehicle version, while Rural Units utilize the 4-Wheel Drive Special Service Vehicle version. All vehicles are Hybrid conversions to lessen the long-term operating costs of the fleet.

What are their uniforms like?
Similar to the uniforms of the Joint Defense Forces-Ground, except lighter in color and without the camouflage patterns.

What equipment do they carry?
Radio, Cuffs, Notepad (with pencil/pen), Maglight Flashlight, Sidearm, Multi-baton.

What special powers do they have?
Under normal circumstances, none outside their power to investigate crimes, pursue and detain suspects, and prepare evidence for presentation in court. In times of declared war and emergency, the President, with consent of the Legislature, may incorporate the NatPol into the JDF-G.

We have two branches: the police (in regular uniform, somewhat similar to that of American police departments) are mostly responsible for eliminating minor to moderate crimes. They use patrol cars, and occasionally patrol motorcycles and transport helicopters. Much of their equipment is limited to the same basic communications (radio), self-defence weapons such as batons, pepper sprays and tasers, as well as basic semi-automatic handguns and carbines.

The second branch of law enforcement has a much more flexible role than the police; while the police can deal with varying severities of crime, they are usually restricted to small scale instances of such. This branch, however, is able to deal with larger scale crimes, with increasing severities; for example, they are allowed to initiate the diffusion of large scale protests and riots up to large scale armed conflict involving criminals (i.e. criminals using fully automatic weapons and highly efficient tactics).

This branch is also involved in covert operations, thanks to access to advanced weapons specifically for them; for example, the coilgun, imported from planets with higher technological advancement, is as tactically effective, or perhaps superior to suppressed firearms, due to the exclusive use of electrical energy of these weapons. The same remark can be used to describe the similarly imported railgun, primarily used for sniper roles. Some native and other imported weapons have been converted to adapt this technology.

This branch possesses SWAT-like equipment and uniform, with the addition of advanced triage systems implemented into portable computers to assist in the aid of fallen units, and advanced sensor and communication systems to distinguish motion of targets up to 150 metres away; some units can be seen wearing significantly different equipment in comparison to their squad, most likely imported from interplanetary military and police forces. An example being a ceramic-coated full-head helmet with a visor containing a projection of combat data is used. Their uniforms also seem to resemble the ones used by the Peacekeepers and the RGF as portrayed by the video games Crackdown and Battlefield 3 respectively.

The vehicles of choice for this branch are armoured trucks and armoured tandem-rotor helicopters, both highly effective in fulfilling recon and transport roles while leaving any asset(s) relatively unharmed.

We don't have a police force, but we have millions of automaton guards (aka robot guards) to protect and serve. They operate on a super intelligent hive mind like A.I and they are armed with multibarreled antimatter guns. They dont need vehicles since distances in our hive cities aren't that great, and theres many of them. When used in military operations they are moved in basic military APCs. They don't really have uniforms and aside from the guns they carry a very little equipment, mostly restraining devices. As for special powers, they are fueled by miniature version of our PowerOrb. It produces a fuckton of energy, and generates a small forcefield strong enough to completely block any small arms fire, rendering them almost indestructible against criminals. And since they are robots they are alot stronger and faster than humans.

Chinese People's Armed Police Force

The People's Armed Police, officially Chinese People's Armed Police Force (officially CAPF) is a paramilitary or gendarmerie force primarily responsible for civilian policing and fire rescue duties in the People's Republic of China, as well as provide support to PLA during wartime.

In contrast to public security police, PAP servicemen, also called as "Armed Policemen", wear olive green instead of the blue uniforms of the Public Security Department People's Police and other branches of People's Police. From January 1, 2005 to July 31, 2007 the position had been renamed 'internal guard' with arm insignia reflecting this change; new uniforms issued on August 1, 2007 carried to term for "China Armed Police Force".

MISSION:
The PAP's primary mission is internal security. The first law on the People's Armed Police, the Law on the People's Armed Police Force (PAPF), was passed in August 2009, giving it statutory authority to respond to riots, terrorist attacks or other emergencies. Such units guard government buildings at all levels (including party and state organisations, foreign embassies and consulates), provide personal protection to senior government officials, provide security functions to public corporations and major public events. Some units perform guard duty in civilian prisons and provide executioners for the state. The PAP also maintains tactical counter-terrorism (CT) units in the Immediate Action Unit (IAU), Snow Wolf Commando Unit (SWCU) and various Special Police Units (SPU).

JUDGE, JURY, EXECUTIONER

Originally founded in the early years of Conrad Curze’s control over Nyte, the Arbitrators were intended as a temporary measure designed to enforce and maintain order while the government worked to create a proper judicial system and code of laws. Unfortunately, the government had little to base such a system on after centuries of control by various guilds who ruled under the belief that “might makes right.” Lacking any other viable option, the Arbitrators were co-opted into becoming the judiciary arm of Nyte’s government, and given full authority in the enforcement of the law throughout Nyte’s growing sphere of influence.

While considered to be brutal; and at times outright violent by even the majority of Nyte’s somewhat jaded populace, the Arbitrators are at least fair and generally unbiased in the enforcement of the law, and most crimes are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The limited number of punishments for crimes under Nyte’s legal system has led to a system that is mostly unburdened by an overcrowded prison system, or a lengthy wait for a court date. Major crimes such as murder, rape, pedophilia, and acts of terrorism or extreme violence generally all fall under the death penalty, and Nyte has never instituted a “death row.” Instead, Arbitrators are authorized to act as judge and jury, and as such the punishment can be; and usually is enforced on the spot. For lesser crimes, there is a limited appeals process available as the punishments for such usually consist of fines, and/or a short stay in an Arbitrator precinct house; usually up to a maximum of five years followed by extensive periods of community service.

The Arbitrators maintain a comprehensive armory of nonlethal to military grade weaponry, as well as military grade power armor as their standard gear; a practice which has proven to be invaluable on multiple occasions as the fearsome appearance and reputation of the standard Arbitrator has been known to cow even the most dangerous of criminals on occasion. Generally, Arbitrators operate singly or in pairs although at times entire squads of Arbitrators can be dispatched to deal with extreme situations where a nearly military level of firepower and skill is required to resolve a situation as quickly as possible.

Arbitrator precinct houses are designed to function as a mixture of military style barracks, courthouse, prison, and fortress. Generally these precinct houses are large, walled compounds with their own power plant, hydroponics, and water recycling facilities and are designed to be as self-sufficient as possible; a practice which has enabled these compounds to withstand anything short of a full military siege or orbital bombardment.

Enforcer Pattern Patrol Speeder
Image
Background:
The Enforcer Pattern Patrol Speeder was developed specifically for use by Nyte's Arbitrators approximately two hundred and fifty years ago. Equipped with an advanced anti-grav system, a military grade power plant, and a direct link to orbiting GPS satellites the Enforcer allows Nyte's Arbitrators to respond to disturbances in a timely manner while providing the ability to transport up to four passengers or prisoners as well as having a small, onboard armory with a variety of nonlethal to fully lethal equipment. The Enforcer itself is armed with a single EMP Disruption System designed to disable civilian vehicles without the need to resort to dangerous high speed chases.
Crew: 1
Passengers/Prisoners: 4
Armament: 1 EMP Disruption System
Self censored due to concerns of Moderation Abuse and ambiguous rules enforcement.

What are their uniforms like? Very military like, due to the fact that the police IS the military. To elaborate, the Red Guard serves all law enforcement duties.

What equipment do they carry? Several scopes and range of weapons.
What special powers do they have? Most police power in the real world today.

Are they armed? We keep then armed with non-lethal weapons by default, unless an emergency call for lethal methods.

What special powers do they have? They have the power to arrest people, investigate crimes, and propose new laws on a local level (if the whole police force in that city believes its necessary, and even then the people still vote on it)
