We use our own system called the Walken system. The measurements are based on increments of 6 and each are named after characters Christopher Walken has played in movies.

Officially, Hatesh utilizes the metric system in all ways, but in some rural locales traditional measurements are still used for smaller-scale subjects.

Our system of weights and measures, where it is regulated at all is all over the place and certainly not based on anything resembling metric.

We use the metric system for all serious measurements. American-style measures are used for non-serious things, generally representing an estimate rather than a measurement. A man's height is in centimeters or meters if you are measuring him for an official document, in feet and inches if you are going "He was about that tall". If you are making a cheese, you use liters of milk, but if you've spilled it, it's in gallons of milk. If you are surveying for a piece of property, it is meters and kilometers. If you've been on a long walk, it was miles. Anything given in a non-metric measurement is generally considered to represent a figure that is not precise or accurate.

We use a custom system composed of measurement from both U.S. Standard and Metric. Temperature is measured in Kelvin and Fahrenheit. Body heights are done in inches and feet. Grams are used for mass and pounds are used for weight (in practice they are used interchangeably). Speed and distance are measured in both Kilometers and Miles. Liquid volume is commonly measured in quarts/liters/gallons in everyday use but it's not uncommon to see metric measurements in certain areas.

Our schools teach the Planck System among others, so it is commonly used for scientific purposes, but rarely elsewhere.

The metric system is standard in engineering, but with some colloquial use of "metric inches" (25.0mm) and other simplified customary measurements. These are limited to applications with 5% tolerances or greater.

Parts of the human body, especially the one everyone loves to measure, are measured strictly in Imperial units, except for weight, as it is commonly required in practical use.
Those who don't remember history, are blessed to believe anything is possible when they're repeating it.

For the most part, the GSCA uses the International Metric System for all official measurement standards. Historically, however, Aleckandoreans tend to utilize the Imperial/Customary System of the Anglo-American variety due to it being widely known and taught from the days of Lintinyan colonization and enthrallment of Nord Yervhenn.

The metric system is used for all purposes except some idiomatic expressions which may use traditional Chinese measurements such as lei (里), a unit of distance.

In a sense. While exact units of metric measure, things like kilometers, aren't used, our system of measurement is similarly based on units of ten.

Yes. Prior to the Republican Era, we used a traditional set of measures, which are related to Imperial measures. Some terms from the traditional measures are still used today to represent metric amounts in certain contexts. For example, 10km is referred to as a mil, and a half-litre serving of beer is referred to as a pient.
