There will be war, there will be rebellion,
It's only part of the world we live in,
But we shall always fight for our rights,
and we shall always hold up our chins!
So we will fight for peace,
and all war, we shall cease!

Shrillland uses the metric system for measuring distance and weights, though many people still use the imperial system in their every day lives.

If you don't use the metric system you are clearly out of time and should be punished.
Yes we do use it.

We use the metric system so much that people do not know what any other type of units of measurement are.

Due to a period of isolation during the development of the metric system, the standard system is the most widely used in Floramara.

Our nation uses the Cøkęī system, developed by Demacia and perfected by Syrixia.

One Æulus, the system's version of the inch, equates to around 5.322 centimeters, or 2.095ish inches.

The metric system was brought to us by french engineers who migrated into our country. 97% of the population now use the metric system while the remaining 3% use the traditional Sau measurement, which is a sexagesimal system.

Sure we do. Our ancestors reasonably saw no point in making a whole new system when they already had a perfectly-functional one to use.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

We use the metric system but people have a tendency to state their height and weight using the imperial system; for everything else the metric system is commonplace even informally.

Children of Ozgaard are required to memorize several systems of measurement in weights, distances, currencies, frequencies, temperatures, and volumes (and their respective translative formulae) in order to graduate from basic education and thus gain their license to engage in commerce and subsequent recognition of adult citizenship.

We do, but we first adopted it in 1955. Before that, we used our own system.
