To make Praireland's presentation much more clear, I will put it in code format.
Code: Select all

HEADERHEADER

Content 1Content 1

Content 2Content 2

Makes:
HEADERHEADER
Content 1Content 1
Content 2Content 2

The code also works for gameside factbooks. And if you analyze the code, the td codes are always between tr codes, and the whole thing is between the table code. To make a whole new row, just add tr with td in it.

Tables in the forums look like that above, tables in factbooks look like this (Screenshot taken by me).

My factbook (in my opinion) looks really good. I went pretty history crazy, took a lot of time and effort and mashed it into that. Still not 100% done, got a few sections to go. :) :) :)

Go ahead and link mine if you'd like, under the heading of "Slavish Imitation of Wikipedia" :p

Down to Wikipedia's typeface changes (March 26th or so), where the font of the headings was changed- but unfortunately I couldn't increase the size of the body text without blowing up the whole factbook.

(yes, I'm also Daskoxian, and I've found that writing content for an MT nation- however FanT it is- is easier than writing for an FT one, which explains why this one is more detailed)

So far, I have updated my factbook a bit, can anybody check it out? Link is in my signature and you may ask me any questions regarding the formatting of the factbook.

Lots of info already, and it looks pretty good :) but a few more images would be nice, and it'd be better if the section headers were a little more pronounced (bolded or larger in size, etc).

Nah. I'd prefer it to be small and as little images as possible, but good suggestions.

I'd like to offer my formal commendations and thanks to Ponderosa for the excellent factbook code. It was very useful when making the Dendodgian National Factbook! Obviously things like the history still need to be fleshed out, but what do y'all think?

It looks nice. I'd remove the numbers, leaving them only for the contents box. That will make it flow like a Wiki entry.

edit: After pecking away at it for two days, is there anything that needs to be tweaked? Technocracy of Cerillium Factbook

I wear teal, blue & pink for Swith
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Thanks! A table is like this:

Code: Select all

Header 1Header 2Header 3

Cell 1Cell 2Cell 3
Each pair of TRs is a table row, each TD is a piece of table data (an individual cell).
