What does your capital building look like?

Postby Saint Kitten » Mon Aug 05, 2013 12:01 am

Describe your capital building with pictures, links, or just describe it! Talk about important rooms and historic events that happened in the building. Make it as ridicules or serious as you want, it's your building.

Here is where Parliament meets. We are currently building the Prime Miniter's Building and King Kitteh's Palace is under reconstruction due to a minor fire that destroyed about half the building.

Good question Saint Kitten.

That's my capital building. Original, ain't it?
"Maybe it’s not the politicians who suck; maybe it’s something else. Like the public. That would be a nice realistic campaign slogan for somebody: “The public sucks. F*ck hope.” Put the blame where it belongs: on the people. Because if everything is really the fault of politicians, where are all the bright, honest, intelligent Americans who are ready to step in and replace them? Truth is, we don’t have people like that. Everyone’s at the mall, scratching his balls and buying sneakers with lights in them."

The Vandelstein Congress Building, popularly known as "Helsingberg Palace" for its similarities to other European palaces and its wide grounds.

This is the Federal Center of Hyfling, located in the capital city of Yonwood, constructed over 20 years ago, it houses the Parliament, the Senate, HFBI, HCIA, NSA, HBA and the high court of Hyfling, as is displayed by the coloured layout below:

Image

Hyfling also has a massive underground facility known as The Complex located just outside the city center which houses the Federal Council (the leaders of Hyfling) as well as a much larger version of the Federal Center, the Complex is the real center of government that was built after a major terrorist attack on the Federal Center, so in a sense, Hyfling has two active capital buildings. All government buildings including the two capital buildings are connected by a fast secondary intranet hosted in The Complex should all other communications+the public internet get knocked out, it is also totally safe from hackers as it is completely unconnected to the public internet.

This is the Cabinets HQ (aka 177 South Main). It contains several rooms for all the cabinet members. Meeting rooms, private offices, etc. The Meeting room is where all proposed bills are sent to be reviewed before sent to the Dictators House.

Copy or take photos and upload them to a photo sharing site such as Imgur or Photobucket, click on the picture and copy the URL, then at the top of the "post a reply" box you'll see a set of boxes, click on the IMG one, and you'll get this [img][img] then, in between the 2 sets of brackets paste the image URL, and you've got your picture! Remember your picture has to be under 900x900 pixels, good luck! :)

We have none. The Arch Duke rules from which ever of his many palaces he is currently in. And thus there is not established symbolic center of power or what ever.
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

The above post contains hyperbole, metaphoric language, embellishment and exaggeration. It may also include badly translated figures of speech and misused idioms. Analyze accordingly.

Since I, the president of Likia, am at a trade meeting, and only have only my tablet since my desktop is in my home (not the Likia president house, my original house) I must use descriptions. :(
It is made of wood, with a U-din (uhhh...-din) roof. Ot is a type of roof where two sides point up, and the othe two sides slope downwards. It comes from saying Up-down fast, or with some foriegn accent.
it has two floors, the entry floor which has the first hall, then the rest is just for floors. We have a couple people working on the outside, but the upper floor is where things get done
There is the international room where our world assembly representatives meet snd tell us the outcome, what we voted for, how the other representatives are terrible etc.
the there's the issue decision room, or the issue room. It's where peoople bring me, or currently my vice president, the different opinions of people. They often give their opinions while presenting too, of course.
Next we have the connections room. Really they are like anwsering machines. "Hello, oh sorry the president is busy at the moment, but please tell me your opinion, we will discuss it with the president." Maybe we should replace them with anwsering machines! But apperently when the person they are calling is busy, they would like to talk to a person not a machine.
