What do power sockets look like in your nation (IF YOU HAVE THEM)? Are they the exact same as some other countries or are they unique? Does your nation have more than one type grouped together to fit an international standard?


Here's a concept pic of what they look like in my nation.

In the picture, the 2 bottom sockets are meant to output low to medium voltage, meaning up to 8 normal appliances can be powered by it. The middle thing is where the grounder is plugged in. The top 3 prongs are for high voltage, meant for recharging hybrid cars and can power over 8 appliances. Note: a plug with high voltage uses the bottom prongs and grounder, medium voltage plugs use just the bottom 2 prongs and grounder.

We have yet to find need for wired energy transfer for anything other than devices with the energy requirement of large scale municipalities or above. We prefer wireless energy transfer. Mostly done through utility foglets on board the New Event Horizon and microwaves or lasers everywhere else.

Our plug in outlets have the standard Vostagian three pronged plug two parallel flat rectangular prongs for common household voltages and a third cylindrical prong below those for anything higher. We also use wireless transference as well but only with certain things.

Paparian uses the British Standard BS 1363 domestic AC power plugs and sockets.



The voltage used in Paparian is 230/240 volts -50hz. If your electrical appliance uses 110/120 volts, you need to use a transformer/converter to step down the 230/240 volts Paparian voltage to your 110/120 volt appliances.
Failing to do so will damage your electrical appliances.
If your electrical appliances use 230/240 volts, you may just need to use the wall outlet plug adapters WA-7.
Some electrical appliances are multi voltage, that can be used for both 120volt and 230/240volt.
Most multi-voltage equipment will state somewhere on the product, usually on a label or decal on the charging unit, " input 100-240 AC 50-60 HZ ". Some will only state " 110 or 120 and 220 or 240 volts".
The Paparian government will not compensate any losses of electrical appliance(s) or life as a result of using non-compatible products.
As such foreign visitors to Paparian are not encouraged to bring along any electrical items from their country of origin but rather buy these items in Paparian.

We use resonant inductive coupling to power our household devices, The power point is a metal plate with a circle etched on it, the range of one of these inductive couplers is 20 m and devices that require power can be placed anywhere in this radius (most devices also have an internal battery so that they can continue to operate in an emergency). Industry uses coaxial cable since they deal with higher currents and inductive coupling is not suitable for these levels of energy transfer.
