The Democratic Republic of Waldmania is glad to announce that after years of isolation following our independence, that we are finally opening up to diplomacy with other nations. So, we have started an embassy program within our capital city of New Peabody to conduct diplomacy with other nations.
New Peabody is a beautiful and young city, founded only about 50 years and is located in the center of the country. New Peabody is fairly small for a major Waldmanian city, with only about 750,000 residents, compared to cities like Steeleport who have almost 12,000,000 citizens. There are few ghettos and everything anyone could need is right there inside the city. It is the cultural center of the country with many national and historical monuments and a growing economy.

About us
The Democratic Republic of Waldmania is a young metropolitan island nation in the Atlantic Ocean. It is environmentally beautiful in the wilderness, despite the fact that most of the country is urban, excluding the territories. There is also an ancient native civilizations, usually just called Native Waldmanians, who have lived on the island for thousands of years. The country is historically a part of the United States of America and a part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts but has a very unique history of it's own. It was first settled by English pilgrims in the early 1600's and has grown exponentially ever since.
Waldmania is a democratic nation based off of many American values and has a culture very similar to conservative American culture. Waldmanians are mostly white and the main religion is Roman Catholicism, which is also the official religion. Waldmanians pretty much only speak english, although many schools are trying to teach children other languages such as Spanish and French.
Waldmanians are very tolerant and accepting of other cultures, religions and beliefs. Waldmanian technology is like that of modern America. Crime is a huge problem due to the incredibly inefficient police force, and as a result many Waldmanians own guns and Waldmania has a very high murder rate.
