Updated the M1860 Service Revolver a little, thoughts?

Also, why use a PDW when you can have the M.1860, firing six rounds of .484-88 Tsavonian!

Image

Because 200 meters is the range of a good PDW.

Your 50 meter effective range (At best when everything is perfect) is lacking. Allot.

Shaddup you.

If you want more range you can use the carbine conversion of the M1860.

Use a designed PDW instead of half-assing it?

However, it is impossible to properly play Russian roulette with a PDW, M1860: 1, PDWs: 0 That was a joke, sorry.

Anyways, like Nirvash said, its a revolving handgun from 1860, calm yo tits.

Heck - I thought he was at least being semi-serious. A lot of the 19th century pistols had optional shoulder stocks, which would have made them some of the first PDWs.

I was. Carbines of that era were altered six shooters.

Well, I am making a carbine variant of the M1860.

No 19th Century Army is complete without the Venerable Pattern 1845 Rifle-Musket, complete with Musketoon and Field-Expedient pistol variants. Officially the most widely exported muzzle-loading rifle in Terra Firma. Why? Because I say so.

You know that before the P90 and all sorts of other shit the US Army gave tankers M4 carbines with the stocks removed? AND THOSE ARE CONSIDERED PDW BY THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE.

The term PDW was first applied to the weapon the US army wanted to issue helicopter pilots. While a 9mm M1911 was recommended for adoption, one of the weapons considered was the IMP-221. Therefore, rifle caliber weapons designed for issue to soldiers who do not have much room.

In other words, listen to Regi.

You know what they gave out before that? Even during the first days of The Second Gulf War?

M3s.

No it isn't Beano.

Its pretty well known your antics are not liked and are very much so walking the edge with the mods. You are on the edge and keep attempting to push us further and further.

It is very annoying and one of the many reasons certain members don't even want to come here anymore. You know that?

Good ol' grease guns.

IMO many SMGs could be considered "personal defense weapons" anyway, at least, before any dedicated PDWs were being made. That was what they were being used for anyway. But now that we've got guns designed with specific requirements and characteristics in mind (small package with intermediate cartridge) the term and definition of PDW is being shifted over to these weapons.

Now I could get all up into linguistics and how language is evolving and such but it would be better if we just stick to the definition that is being agreed upon. PDW = SMG sized gun firing intermediate cartridges that are sometime proprietary.

I was never too keen on the Grease Gun. Nor any WWII era submachine guns for that matter.

SMGs have had so little character since then, though.

They may not be the most well manufactured things ever, but they'll fuck you up anyway.

I'm pretty much with you on this one.

The Sten and the Grease Gun (more so the Sten), afaik, were unreliable at best. I've heard it said that you don't shoot a M3, you just press the trigger and tag along for the experience. As to the Sten, once again, I've heard it said that "in the hands of a trained shooter, its practically useless."

Everyone loves the Thompson, and I suppose its pretty bitchin, cause ".45 Murrica fuck ya" or something, even if had to be simplified several times over before it could enter mass production.enough could be produced to keep up with war time demand.

You know, I honestly don't know too much about the MP38/MP40, but I've never heard anyone praising hem for their accuracy.

While I don't disagree, the fact that a firearm "will fuck you up" should not be a point in its favor. In proper hands a .22 caliber pistol is quite deadly, ask the Mossad if you dare.

I mean, saying "X gun or type of gun is awesome cause it'll fuck you up" is like saying "This car is bad ass cause the engine runs." Its just....kind of something you expect from it. :P

Both of these points are true.

Admittedly, the only modern SMG I actually like is the MP5
