As of 1520, there is no longer an electoral college comprised of hereditary nobility, elected representatives, and non-elected officials. For the past 5 centuries, the position of Emperor has been determined by a simple popular vote by the civilian population.

After his grandfather's health declined, he appointed his grandson, Lyii Terrii to be head of the Daritiian Workers Party, the only party in Daritii. When the elections came up, which as usual will be rigged, a fake, pretend party was set up in order to make the citizens think that this election was legit. However all schools teach children that the DWP is the only good party and only idiots join other parties. During the elections, every who was brainwashed (which is 89% of the population) voted for the DWP. The governemnt changed this result and claimed that everyone voted for them. The other 11% was found and sent to re-education camps after the elections.
