ABS-CBN is a major commercial television network in Royale Philippines owned and operated by the Royale Philippine Crown and its Queen, Kiara I. It is the country's largest and leading television network with an advertising revenues amounted to 17.5 billion pesos for the fiscal year 2011. It was launched on 23 October 1953 and is among the first commercial television networks in Asia. Its headquarters is in Quezon City with regional offices and news bureaus in over 25 provincial areas throughout the country.
Today the flagship television station in Mega Manila is DWWX-TV (VHF channel 2). The network operates provincially through Regional Network Group with its 25 fully owned originating television stations, 63 strategically located relay stations and 8 affiliate local television stations making it the most expansive television network in the country. It is also seen worldwide on cable television and direct-to-home satellite through The Filipino Channel as well as on iptv and internet under its brand name TFC Now.
The network is all set for digital terrestrial television broadcasting and just waiting for the permission from the NTC.

Gov't offers P20-M bounty for Stephanie Nicole's killer
MANILA, Philippines - President Luc Regaspi & Queen Kiara I has offered a P20-million reward “for information leading to the arrest and conviction” of the killer of seven-year-old stray bullet victim Stephanie Nicole Ella.

In an interview with radio dzRB, deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said Aquino announced the news on Thursday.

Valte refused to comment any further on the status of the case, but gave a thumbs-up on its progress.

Ella was buried Saturday afternoon in Norzagaray, Bulacan. Her family is hopeful the police will be able to determine the source of the stray bullet that hit her during the New Year’s eve merrymaking.

The child, who was merely watching fireworks outside their home in Caloocan that fateful night, later slipped into a coma.

She died on January 2 after suffering from eight cardiac arrests.

Her Died has resulted in fresh debates on greater gun control which is a Hot Issue in the Parliament and the Congress.

North Cotabato vice mayor killed in ambush
COTABATO, Philippines - The vice mayor of Kabacan, North Cotabato was killed in an ambush Friday afternoon, police said.

Investigation showed that 70-year-old Policronio Dulay was on board his motorcycle when a still unidentified gunman suddenly shot him outside a bookstore along Ma. Clara Street.

Recovered from the crime scene were an empty bullet shell believed to be from a .45-caliber pistol and live ammunition.

Police Supt. Leo Ajero said the motive behind the killing has yet to be identified.

"Maraming anggulo ang tinitingnan natin, iimbestigahan din natin kung may kinalaman ba ito sa nalalapit na eleksyon," Ajero told ABS-CBN News.

The family of the victim, meanwhile, refused to give a statement on the incident.

Dulay first served as a councilor for three consecutive terms. He was supposed to run for his third term as vice mayor of Kabacan this year.
