How much will that run me roughly?

$300-400. The catch is the ammo isn't exactly cheap. Not bad, but not cheap.

Not an issue, I make way to much money. I just don't want drop over $800 on a rifle for awhile until I move out of connecticut.

Edit: Top porn.

This is all good advice

I'm not if its been said but DO NOT give her a full magazine her first turn with a rifle. Give her 5-7 rounds maximum.

I'm refering to the bolt guns only, the .22 I'm going to start her on a single round and work from there. Its just simply she is highly delicate and I KNOW I will have to hear her complaining about her shoulder hurting, and simply put I do not want to hear her bitch.

Actually, the reason you want to limit the number of rounds in a magazine is due to a newbies tendency to rapid fire.

From a detachable box fed weapon, it'll usually go like this

bang.........bang......bang...bang..bangbangbang

As they get comfortable, they get trigger happy.

Some do.

I, honestly, don't shoot to see how accurate I can be (when I'm shooting for recreation, mind...requal and practice are different) I just enjoy the sound and feel of the gun, and as long as I'm impacting into a safe target, I'm happy

Well let's get this over with before I start my new rifle, that will be more AUG like and less CARB.

Modular Assault System- Augment 3
Image
Type: Modular Rifle
Calibre: 6.8x45 CTA
Configuration:Bullpup
Action: Short Stroke Piston, Rotating Bolt
Weight: 7.8 lbs (3.53kg)
Overall length:33.6 in (854mm)
Barrel length: 25.7 in (655mm)
Rate of fire: 800 rpm
Feed system: Detachable duplex load, box mag
Effective range: 710 yds (650m)

MAS-A3
Action
The MAS-A3 is a bullpup short stroke piston operated weapon. The bolt and action is similar to that of the HK416. The magazine's design is similar to that of the Army's SALVO project where the rounds are stacked length wise.
It fires the 6.8x45mm while similar to the 6.8spc it is telescoped like the LSAT's design, the improved seal allows for a better terminal velocity because of the force kept behind the projectile.

The rifle selector is an simple knob that can be set to Semi-Auto, 3-round Burst, Automatic and Safety. This level of selection allows for it to be used by special operations troops.

Are you using a more aerodynamic bullet than the SPC or just cutting your losses and staying with the 110-115gr bullet range?

The base looks like it needs to be thicker, and I still think think you need a brass base.

Pictures from my visit to the Lithgow Small Arms Museum.

Would I be right to think that this compensator would also work as a slight muzzle brake? Also, does anyone know the first time aluminium was used to form the receiver of a military firearm? The Austen Mk II apparently had an aluminium receiver, although I'm not sure how well it worked, given the limited information available on it.

I was going to call the A-10 warthog a weapon but I decided against that because I would get flak for it.

On the serious side of the conversation, our military generally use desert eagles as their side arm.

I don't know how much I'm going to tinker because I'm going to use a swinging chamber. So the lifespan on this is low.

I think My justification for the Desert Eagle would be this picture

As for the A-10 Warthog joke . . .

Image

Dat cannon

The cannon is the one in the background, just ignore the car.

But in all seriousness I still think the desert eagle kinda looks awesome that said it was the best one I could decide on.

So you issue a big, heavy gun with a reputation for inaccuracy and unreliability, chambered in a round that makes the 10mm Auto look like the 9x18mm Makarov as standard to your troops?

If you're hell bent on ruining their wrists and chances of rapidly firing at a target with reasonable accuracy (relatively speaking), then at least give them a decent pistol:

But in all seriousness I still think the desert eagle kinda looks awesome that said it was the best one I could decide on.

Big gun on a plane I'm not going to argue with, we're all acquainted with the A-10 here.

I'm also not going to address the part about it looking cool, cause thats immaterial to the discussion.

I'm going to guess you've never had to carry a gun n you life, have you?

The Desert Eagle XIX in .50 is heavy, prohibitively so. The recoil of the round makes it practicably useless for extended engagements...even so much as holding the damn thing on target for very long. Yes, being struck by a .50 AE round will kill you dead...but so will a lot of other rounds...and you can put a lot more rounds downrange when you aren't using a ridicules caliber catering to wannabe-gangsters who required chromed bling to intimidate their lesser brethren.

Also, using a Desert Eagle in a crime is a pretty good way to get busted. I know that its common for Vice units in large cities to attempt to track which "gangsta's" owns Desert Eagles. When a .50 AE bullet turn up in a body, who do you think gets pulled in for a chat?

iirc, the Israeli's issued em to one soldier at a checkpoint to shoot through engine blocks as an attempt to stop car bombs. Thats a niche useless. As a standard side arm, its ungainly, expensive and near useless.

Try something in .45 or 10 mm if you're insistent on having a ?big horkin bullet", thats a lot more sane
