Service dogs, or guide dogs as they are more commonly referred to, are generally Labradors, trained and provided by the state through the Ministry of Health. However, semi-sapient Swepartres, our native rodent like mammal, are more common as service animals.

Dogs in Walosia are used in both the military and law enforcement.

Law enforcement:
There are three dog units with different tasks:

K9 search unit: Dogs specially trained to search for both drugs and bombs (explosives).

K9 attack unit: Dogs specially trained to assist police and law enforcement in arrests and raids.

K9 AP unit: Dogs specially trained to assist AP (animal police) to search for lost animals and other situations the AP could come in contact with.

Military:
Military dogs are not divided into groups and branches, they assist squads and teams where its necessary. Almost every squad have a squad dog along side the other squad-mates.

The police use sniffer and attack dogs regularly, usually German Shepherds. However, for the same purposes, the military use the much more fearsome Raptors.

Standing at up to four metres in height, Raptors are semi-sentient bipedal robots designed for psychological warfare. They can reach speeds faster than a cheetah and are extremely agile, easily capable of navigating narrow urban areas at high speed. Often, they hunt in packs for both self-protection and to act as a collective intelligence when searching for targets.

Despite being armed with a 9x19mm machine gun, Raptors actually "prefer" to use the hooked claws on their feet to rip targets apart. With each claw carrying more force than a crocodile's bite, a single Raptor can easily subdue an enemy fighter in melee combat, and packs of them can cause horrendous carnage should they be unleashed upon a platoon of enemy soldiers or a rebellious Organic Ghetto.

The golden retrievers are the policemen and policewomen's beloved partner to fight crime or to accompany them while living alone.



It is obvious that the Suvarnadvipan police forces also use the golden retrievers to guard prisons, sniff dangerous tools, and hunt down criminals. Since the usage of the golden retrievers to assist anti-criminal operations, crime rate in the Federal Republic of Suvarnadvipa has fallen by 25%.
