MINAKBIR, KHUSUBA GOVERNORATE - With the news of terrorist attacks going on in Francilie, His Royal Highness, Yaqoob iben Rushdi has made a speech on national television condemning the attacks, and pledging unconditional support to the Francilian government in this time of horror.
The Emir said on Royal Livancian Television that "in this time of sorrow, we must be aware that the Christians, the Jews, and the Muslims all worship the same God."
"Right now," he declared, "God is looking upon Francilie and is angered at what the radical Islamists have done to try and make the Francilians be afraid and terrorized. He is angered that these attacks will almost certainly lead to hate crimes against Muslims: not just the Islamists, but the innocent, hard-working Muslim who is just living a day-to-day existence."
The Emir paused and stated, "There, on behalf of the nation of Livancia, we send our condolences to the friends and family of the victims, as well as all of those in the nation. We will pledge unconditional support to the government of Francilie, and we will coordinate to ensure that justice is served to the terrorists who conducted these savage and barbaric attacks in Francilie."
He also decreed that "our flag shall be at half-mast until sunset of May 5th," and that all of the remaining matches in the Coupe d'Esquarium shall be preceded with a minute of silence.
