Breaking the news
until it's broken

DEVELOPED NEWS World still wondering how West Cedarbrookese decorate their tweets
Image
West Cedarbrook is home to pink and purple tweets - and the rest
of the world is still trying to figure out how that's possible

Wrycova, West Cedarbrook - Hate to break it to you, but the world is still unsure how tweets from West Cedarbrook look so decorated.

It all began when internet surfers saw something odd on Twitter - a string of tweets with pink-colored hashtags, pink-colored retweets and faves and misplaced avatars. Initially, most thought the tweets were made by website admins who needed to make themselves stand out in the vast cyberspace, but it was Biao Zi - a university student from Yucheng - who noticed that these tweets all came from one country.

"They're all from West Cedarbrook, and I thought: 'Pink? They must be having breast cancer awareness month or something, none of my business,'' Biao told The Pickle. So he left the tweets and went on with ordinary life.

But a month later, Biao returned to Twitter and saw Cedarbrookese still decorating their tweets with pink hashtags.

"'Man, this is some weird stuff. Shouldn't breast cancer awareness month be over?' I thought," Biao recalled. "I called Twitter and asked them about the Cedarbrookese tweets, but they were just as clueless as I was. Then it hit me - the Cedarbrookese have access to technology that we don't. Otherwise, all of us would be able to color our tweets pink."

So began a worldwide search for answers. It was only a matter of time before someone called up West Cedarbrook's foreign minister for a clear and concise answer, but to no avail.

"Pink tweets? What in Conitia's beard's name are you talking about?" Cedarbrookese Secretary of Foreign Affairs Vernon Kansky said in response to an interview request by The Pickle's Wrycova correspondent on the phone. "We ain't got 'em. But hey, we do have lotsa pink stuff we wanna sell you. Do you want some of our quality pink lemonade? The rest of the Latins have it, there's no reason why you can't."

Cedarbrookese in the streets were interviewed, but none of them had any clue what "decorated tweets" are.

"I mean, aren't tweets supposed to be pink?" Tobin Jude of Steinhouse said. "Or are tweets in your country not pink? That's weird - perhaps we can send our technicians to your computers and help you tweet properly, eh?"

Outside of the Kramden, numerous people have expressed interest in acquiring the ability to "tweet the Cedarbrookese way."

"It's definitely something I pink of doing," exclaimed Queen Elis of Katranjiev with a laugh before her father, the abdicated monarch Apostol XV whacked her with a cane, sending her back to her palace bedroom.

TINZHAN DAILY

By Bo Xi Mong, Linguist
Pub. 5:28 11/23/2016

Understanding Tinzhanese demonyms
Tinzhan is a country that can be hard to understand for foreigners, one aspect of Tinzhan that is very ambiguous to foreigners is the complicated demonyms attributed to the country. This is mainly the fault of the native language of Tinzhan, Minjianese.

Tinzhan
Tinzhan is the name of the country and should be used when referring the country in most instances or if you're not sure. Examples of Tinzhan being used properly are [viz] "he is from Tinzhan", "Tinzhan is a country bordered by Xiaodong". As a custom of English, the singular form is usually not used when referring to institutions. The "Tinzhan Rice Fund" is not grammatically correct, but the "Tinzhanese Rice Fund" is. That being said, it is correct to say "the legislature of Tinzhan".

Tinzi
Tinzi is the correct way to refer to one person from Tinzhan or a person with association with Tinzhan. An important distention, Tinzi is to never be used when referring to a proper or common noun other than a single person; Tinzi cannot be used as an adjective to describe anything other than a single person. Examples that are correct are [viz] "he is Tinzi", "he works for a Tinzi man". The ladder is correct because it is referring directly to a person. Examples that would not be correct are [viz] "that business is Tinzi" or "he works for a Tinzi lawyer". The former is incorrect because Tinzi refers to a business, not a single person. The ladder can be confusing, while lawyer does refer to a person, it refers to a state of profession and not directly a person.

Tinzhanese
Tinzhanese is used whenever you are referring to a person, place, or thing relating to Tinzhan excluding a singular person (and other demonyms). An example that is correct would be [viz] "that Tinzhanese business will go bankrupt" or "he works for the Tinzhanese government". An example of this not being correct would be "he is Tinzhanese". When unsure, it is prudent to use Tinzhanese.

Ti
Ti is used specifically to reference things relating to Tinzhan in history. Examples include [viz] "Ti Famines", "Ti Dynasty", "Museum of Ti Artifacts". As a general rule, Ti is not used unless it is followed by a proper noun unless an adjective like 'historic' or 'ancient' proceeds Ti. Ti usually should not be used when referring to people with the exception of dynasties, orders, noble houses, etc.

Tizha
The use of Tinzha is very specific. Tinzha is used as a cultural (barring historical), patriotic, or theatrical expression. Examples include [viz] "I am from Tinzha!", "O Tinzha, my Tinzha". While that may sound simple, there is another degree of complexity. You would not say "he is from Tinzha" or "Tinzha culture", Tinzha is only used by the person with association. Therefor, Tinzha should be avoided by foreigners at all costs.

Tilan
Tilan is scarcely usually for scientific reasons and is very rare in speech. Avoid this.

Note the title of this article, where it is "Understanding Tinzhanese demonyms" not "Understanding Tinzhan demonyms " or "Understanding Tinzi demonyms". This is because the word demonyms is a plural noun and does not refer to a specific person. However, if you notice the name of this newspaper, Tinzhan Daily, Tinzhan, instead of Tinzhanese, is used. By quirk of the rules, this is grammatically correct Tinzhan is also used to refer to events (in contemporary history), like the Tinzhan Bombings. It's weird.

There you go, now you can't say you didn't know.

Police arrest strikers as riot overtakes Ashuragar
Image
Strikers on Ur-Neshuna Street confronted police earlier today, causing a riot

The general strike that has essentially shut down most of Pisdara’s non-essential services has turned violent today, when police and picketers confronted each other near the Legislative building. It is unclear who began the fighting, but it resulted in the arrest of twenty-five individuals and the death of steamstress Aya Shagshag in the confusion. The riot began early this morning as strikers marched down Ur-Neshuna Street, chanting slogans, but ultimately staying peaceful. Police were called to keep the crowd under control, but between 6 and 7 AM something occurred which caused the protesters to push back, refusing to move off the street when directed to by the police.

This confrontation snowballed into attacks and a barricade along Gemekala Street by 10 AM. Despite this, the marching continued, with larger protests and police cracking down on strikers, climaxing with shooting and killing 42-year old Aya Shagshag as she was leaving the area of conflict. This saw bystanders attack the police, who in turn began to arrest and beat protesters. Similar occurrences happened in Sakar and Zalalal, where a bus was set on fire.

The riot lasted for about four hours, with twenty-five people, most associated with the general strike, arrested. With the arrests comes a setback in the national strike that has been occurring since mid-October, but organizers state that “we’ll come out on top. Almost a third of the population is on the streets protesting against poor living conditions and corruption, and it’s only a matter of time before we simply outnumber every police force and opposition the government can throw at us” stated Guillaume Magnier of the Revolutionary Labour Federation. The radical trade union, who is one of the more vocal supporters of the strike, will be organizing fundraisers, soup kitchens for the strikers, and “hopefully meetings with local police officers to tell them our grievances and help them understand why we have to do what we’re doing. If they can understand they’re being unfairly used as a tool of oppression, as well as being oppressed themselves in this system as well, we could win this” stated Magnier.

Judge calls out Delondra tweet, deputy to face fine
In a case heard today, judge Louis Suittony confirmed that New Pisdari Liberation deputy Ahunatum Delondra’s controversial tweet she sent on 29 October is in violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Pisdara. Suittony justified his decision by Article XIV, which allows Pisdari citizens the right to “freedom of expression and speech for all citizens and noncitizens, only to be debated if the questioned person’s use of their freedom has infringed on another's’ right to free expression and speech, or promotes the hatred, discrimination, or killing of others.” Suittony stated that Delondra’s tweet, which called upon Pisdaris to attack and lynch deputies indicted in the Loupgate scandal, was considered hate speech, and demanded she pay a fine of 5,000 loures, as well as suggesting to the leadership of the New Pisdari Liberation Front to dismiss her from their electoral list for the next elections.

EsquariLeaks expose PASTA communication, threaten to expose Liberal misconduct
Date: 24 November, 2016

110 DAYS
to 2017 election
Image
The logo of EsquariLeaks
EsquariLeaks has recently hit the headlines by exposing communication between PASTA and a Sinhakese party leader. The organization also suggesed that it will expose the Liberal Party candidate for corruption and misconduct.

Over 400 documents were released by EsquariLeaks, alleging that the Pavonistadian Agency of Security, Tranquility and Altruism (PASTA) approached Sinhakese Unity Party leader Durga D'Arpino on May 6, the day after the first presidential election in Sinhako's history. PASTA proposed that they provide assistance to D'Arpino in his party's future electoral campaign, though they did not specify what assistance may be available. This proposal was rejected by the party leader, whose party revolves around the potential integration of Sinhako into Pavonistade.

EsquariLeaks remarked on its revelation in its website, "It may be difficult to understand what the true intentions of the Pavonistadian government are in regards to their communication with party leader D'Arpino, but it can be safely deduced that the government has attempted to interfere with the affairs of the Sinhakese region. This is not the first instance in which PASTA has been shown to be committing to illicit or suspicious actions."

EsquariLeaks has also warned it will expose the Liberal Party candidate, Calvin Almor, for corruption and misconduct through the leakage of a series of documents and emails.

"The Liberal Party candidate Almor has often championed himself as a disciplined leader that will promote government transparency, staunchly oppose corruption, and remain true to the Pavonistadian people since 2013 [the year in which the previous elections are held]. Yet through meticulous investigation, it can be proven that his true nature contradicts his publicly-known ideas. It is no longer possible for the Pavonistadian people to be denied the truth, especially as they are to elect their next president in four months' time," the EsquariLeaks website detailed.

President Eric Oppenheim has released a statement criticizing EsquariLeaks, saying, "the decision of EsquariLeaks to disclose confidential information has come without conscious assessment of dangerous consequences and provides incentives for others to jeopardize the national security of Pavonistade." He, however, vaguely admitted that "an unacceptable approach has been undertaken."

Liberal candidate Almor, who was in hot waters earlier for claiming the Republican candidate Kal Simpsen was unfit for presidency for being born in Luziyca, stated that allegations of corruption and poor behaviour against him were "nonsensical" and were "paid by certain right-wing parties and organizations to attempt an unjustified bombshell campaign."

The latest leaks are not the only ones exposing PASTA for suspicious activities. It requested former President Mattheu Azurite to rig two referenda, the Ocelot Isles Independence Referendum of 2014 and the Ocelot Isles Reabsorption Referenda of 2015. Azurite had rejected both proposals, the latter being rejected just days before his death.

EsquariLeaks is both praised and targeted for releasing confidential information from various countries. It revealed that the April 2 Deal between the Ocelot Isles and Sinhako was not properly fulfilled, and that the government of Freyhill may have corrupted federal elections held earlier this year.

Pisdara's RUI joins protests as riots leave one martyred

Pisdara's Shadar Kabari has denounced the violence against protesters by the small island nation's police force after many were injured and a woman killed in riots yesterday. His Islamic People's Movement has since joined the marches against corruption following the Loup-CGT scandal; it even controversially sacked and humiliated one of its representatives, at a party forum, hurling insults against him and one of the party's most prominent Imams calling him a "disgrace to Allah". Addressing supporters in Kibkar, he said "we should all stand shoulder to shoulder and tear down this decrepit state and begin anew".

The peaceful protests in support of the general strike erupted into violence yesterday as protesters and police clashed on Gemekala Street, which escalated into the shooting and killing of Aya Shagshag, a 43 year old seamstress. The riots continued for over four hours and resulted in the arrests of 25 people. Guillaume Magnier of the Revolutionary Labour Federation stated that “we’ll come out on top. Almost a third of the population is on the streets protesting against poor living conditions and corruption, and it’s only a matter of time before we simply outnumber every police force and opposition the government can throw at us."

At a solidarity rally in Kibkar earlier today, RUI supporters cheered and chanted anti-establishment slogans such as "down with the Loup government", "revolution today, salvation tomorrow" and "may God guide us to liberation". A popular Imam and senior RUI leader, Baku Nadu addressed the crowd, denouncing the state as a "rotten and degraded embodiment of the occupation by Huimont."

"Let us raise our arms up in embrace of God's will, let us take his message to the capital and roar down the walls of the tyrannical hidden state" he said to which the crowd of some 1,000 chanted "God is Great".
"Do we stand in silence as our brothers and sisters in the RLF march on the capital?" he asked, to which the crowd roared "no" and "never".

"We prayed for a revolution at the ballot and we got it, but now we must secure the revolution on the street, we must complete our liberation and tear down the collaboration state" he shouted, again receiving cheers and applause.

The RUI has since gone to twitter using the hashtag #WeAreAllAya, with Imam Nudu calling her a hero and Pisdara's greatest modern martyr. "This seamstress, this victim of the liberal-capitalist order has struck down by her own countrymen in defence of a corrupt system, raise her name, raise her name high into the air, she is our martyr and we are all Aya" he said.

When Speaker Shadar Kabari took to the stage the crowd went wild according to local sources, cheering and chanting his name, with a chant of "Kabari save our nation" being echoed across Kibkar's square.

"I said, that elections were needed following the constitutional vote, it was ignored. I urged elections, I was ignored. Why? Because those in government, those besides the Patriotic Front feed off the liberal order they feed out of the hands of Loup and Huimont. They don't want change, they don't want your rights to be protected from the predators who run our factories, they want to suck money of you like the leeches they are" he said.
Image
Passionate RUI members raised their traditional knives in protest during the RUI rally in Kibkar today.

"Its not even our politico-economic sector that creaks under the weight of its corruption, its the judiciary too. Look at sister Delondra, who is that judge to condemn her? Who is he? Who is he? Who is he, he's Aininian of course. Of course he will denounce calls for justice against his corrupt and shadowy class, but we the proud faithful, the proud Pisdari will stand tall and stare his class and see what and who they are. Then we shall tear them down from power and create a truly democratic Pisdara" he said, to loud cheers.

"If my colleagues do nothing as they have done for a while, there can be no alternative than dramatic popular action. Our country is broken, it is not yet free of the malicious influence of the occupation and we must cleanse our island nation of its evil.

"I demand the complete confiscation and nationalisation of all Loup assets in Pisdara, I want every politician involved in this dark crime to face punishment, I want a national trial, open for all to see and hear. We demand justice for Aya Shagshag and every Pisdari worker abused by the capitalist elite" he said, receiving a roaring applause from the crowd.

The RUI website has since stated that it will pay for the cost of every single RUI member and supporter's travel to Ashuragar, to join the protests with the Revolutionary Labour Federation.

Shadar Kabari is expected to meet the Grand Mufti of Pisdara Nadeem Saradar later today to discuss the situation developing in the country, it comes amid reports that the Grand Mufti may issue a fatwa calling for peaceful protests to continue and spread to every island of the nation.

The Foreign Ministry of the Union has urged protests in Pisdara to remain peaceful, with its spokesman urging the people to "treat this peacefully, only through peaceful protests can an appropriate solution be found. Ankoren urges restraint, also, of the security services. We wish to see a peaceful and prosperous Pisdara."

It is time for the proletariat to strike at the heart of the corrupt Pisdari state

Image
Comrade Mashda Naram-Sin in Sakar
While our comrades-in-arms are on the streets, fighting to hold the Pisdari government accountable, the Pisdari government has chosen, instead of supporting the Pisdari proletariat against the Aininian bourgeoisie, they have chosen to side with the Aininians in their quests to crush the Pisdari proletariat. Last night, twenty five people were arrested, while 42-year old seamstress and devoted worker, Aya Shagshag was murdered by the Pisdari police.

Today, in Sakar, Comrade Mashda Naram-Sin was at Boissieu Park, to a large crowd which went wild as soon as he approached.

"Comrade Aya paid a great price for standing up to the bourgeoisie and their goons that seek to stamp down on the Pisdari proletariat," General-Secretary Mashda Naram-Sin began. "In this moment, we must remember her, not as a seamstress, but as someone who gave her life so that the Pisdari motherland can be cleansed of Aininian influence!"

"We must avenge her death," Mashda Naram-Sin declared. "In the name of God, in the name of Baba Naram-Sin, we must strike at the heart of the Aininian puppet state and destroy all treaties that still binds this beautiful motherland to Aininian rule. We must demolish the government that is still ruled by the Aininian bourgeoisie, and replace it with a government made by the people, for the people! And we must make sure that Comrade Aye Shagsag will have never died in vain!"

This resulted in a lot of people cheering very loudly, and chanting "Mashda Naram-Sin!"

Once the cheers died down, Naram-Sin announced, "We must mobilize our party and head to Ashuragar! We will pay for the cost of every single member to come to Ashuragar, to join the protests with our allies in the RUI, and with the workers in the Revolutionary Labour Federation, and we will make sure that the Pisdari government will be left with no choice but to acquiesce to the will of the people!"

As the people began to applaud, he added that "Aininians may still dominate our society, but we have an advantage: we have numbers, and if we unite with our allies in the Patriotic Front and the Revolutionary Labour Federation, we will win, and we will never be exploited by Ainin ever again!"

Lorragen Now
27/11/2016, By Ryan Daitton

On February 15th, every man and woman over the age of 16 without a criminal record will be eligible to vote for their representatives in the Lorragenian Parliament. In 2012, the One Nation Coalition, or the ONC, lead by Prime Minister Garret Marston's "Justice & Freedom Party", won a majority of just one seat, thanks to the Democrat Alliance's last minute shift from Independent to Coalition. In May of this year, there was talks of the People's National Party joining the ONC, though this never materialized. In fear of another small majority, or even a minority, Marston officially requested that Adam Cannick, leader of the PNP join the ONC, though he rejected this, citing the party's independent nature. Yesterday, polls conducted by Remen, LNN and LNBC for the 2017 election have been released with seat projections.

Remen Poll

One Nation Coalition - 216 (+15)
Labour Coalition - 108 (-22)
People's National Party - 72 (+8)
Green Party - 2 (-1)
Red Hand Party - Revolutionary Party - 2 (-)

LNN Poll

One Nation Coalition - 231 (+30)
Labour Coalition - 97 (-33)
People's National Party - 67 (+3)
Green Party - 3 (-)
Red Hand Party - Revolutionary Party - 2 (-)

LNBC Poll

One Nation Coalition - 192 (-9)
Labour Coalition - 158 (-28)
People's National Party - 47 (-19)
Green Party - 1 (-2)
Red Hand Party - Revolutionary Party - 4 (+2)

Averages

One Nation Coalition - 213 (+12)
Labour Coalition - 121 (-9)
People's National Party - 62 (-2)
Green Party - 2 (-1)
Red Hand Party - Revolutionary Party - 3 (+1)
Total: 401 (1 Seat Over - attributed to LNBC odd poll)

The averages of the polls are really what we've been expecting, a slight increase for the ONC, a slight decrease for the Labour Coalition, and the other parties to drop or gain one or two seats. What was really shocking, was LNBC's poll, which was completely different from what everyone else was thinking and from all other polls. However, LNBC have been correct in the last three elections, and almost correct in the two before that. However, these are just early polls, who knows that will happen.

Sinhako State University officially opens
Image
Administration Building of the Sinhako State University

PRASANTA - In the northern eight blocks of Prasanta as per its urban planning map lies the Sinhako State University. For the past year and a half, the site has been developed in order to facilitate a university for Sinhako. But today, President Johannes Sikari cut open the ribbon, officially opening the Sinhako State University to the general public.

"On behalf of the Shudri nation, we finally have a Shudri university for our people," Sikari declared as he cut the ribbon to the Administration Building. "May Sinhako State University serve as the center of learning for all Shudri across the globe, and may it serve our [Sinhakese] motherland well!"

Sikari's statements was met by rapturous applause of Grade 12 students, future professors of the university, and prominent politicians. Once the applause died down, Sikari continued his speech.

"This university will one day serve 15,000 students. Right now, we will start small, with only one thousand students, but we will hope to grow and expand as Sinhako blossoms into a self-sufficient nation. I want my grandchildren to take pride in our university, no matter if they live in Prasanta or in Jaituna, because this university must be a key facet in our national identity!"

Once his speech concluded, guided tours were given to all of the buildings that will house facilities designed to help students achieve their potential in such fields as physics, chemistry, natural science, law, computer science, education, anthropology, medicine, and journalism.

Out of the one thousand students participating in the Spring Term in 2017, 928 will be Sinhakese students, and 12 will come other countries. The remainder of the student body will come from the rest of the Ocelot Isles.

State President succeeds in banning debate on political reform across Union and state

State President Evren Volkan has gained the support of the Central Committee of the Union Front, in banning all references or discussions on "political reform". In the Special Session of the Central Committee, State President Volkan stated that "we must focus on what we know needs to be done, rather than we want or suspect needs to be done, as such I ask that we blacklist discussion of political reform, as it deviates our focuses away from defeating terrorism, completing the revolution and developing the economy". The Central Committee voted 38-3 in favour of the State President's proposal.
Image
State President Evren Volkan with the Central Committee of the Union Front.

The move comes after 25 congressmen produced a letter calling for a "consultative committee to address requests regarding political and constitutional reform" - ranging from investigating weakness in local elections and permission for independents to stand at local and city level elections. Both State President Volkan and Prime Minister Akbari denounced the letter for "distracting the government at a critical juncture in the Union's history", the response letter read.

However the letter did praise their commitment to the people and popular will.

State President Evren Volkan has been a consistent opponent to political reform throughout his rise to power, in a speech to party members in 2006, he said "to reform the state further in any political regard would be akin to smashing the foundations of your pristine home in hope of making it different, you do make it different; you make it collapse into rubble". In 2013, he stated that members of the Islamic Union Front in any level of government who propose reform "have ulterior motives, we must question their logic".

Prime Minister Akbari however takes a different position, arguing that the only areas that demand full reform are the economy, education, healthcare and social care.

The State President requested a special session of the Central Committee following the letter being sent to his office, in his speech to the Committee he said that "as we speak our brave sons fight to the death in Irvadistan to destroy terrorism and complete our revolution, as we speak with work tirelessly to develop our economy and improve the lives of our citizens, talk of political reform is a distraction and a distraction we do not need nor desire.

"When faced with such critical causes, to be distracted with a cause that is not needed or vital for the survival of our revolution and Union will deprive us of the focus that has brought our nation from the depths of backwardness and weakness to the glorious uplands of strength and leadership" he said to applause.

"As we stand on the verge of completing our revolution, we must not allow our minds to wander, or become weakened in focus, so I ask, that you support me in keeping the state focused on achieve our revolution, silence these calls permanently" he said.

The committee then voted 38-3 in favour, with three absent due to members being involved in the operation against the so-called Caliphate in Irvaidstan.

However within minutes of the vote, the Central Committee passed the resolution to the Union Congress to extend the ban to all media outlets in the Union, with the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT) confirming that it had received a new directive charged with ending all discussion of political reform within the media sphere. The Union Congress is expected to also extend the ban to all members within the chamber and the grounds of the Congress itself.

Director of the SAPPRFT, Abbas Ahmad Alavi who was present at the Central Committee session, spoke to ATR News in which he stated categorically that "no individual citizen will be permitted to use television, radio, printed media or the intranet to discuss political reform, this has been agreed by the Central Committee of the Union and at the behest of the State President, we must of course respect this and work to ensure that it remains a non-issue".

Prime Minister Akbari expressed some concern that reformist minded Congress members may oppose the Central Committee's decision, owing to their "passionate support of the people", however he stated that the Central Committee may commit it to a Ultimate Statute, passing it into law without congressional support. However he explained to New Dawn news that it was unlikely due to the "excellent relationship we share with all levels of government of the union and the people".

According to a poll conducted by ATR News, only 33% of the population think political reform is a major issue, whilst 24% consider it a much needed issue to be addressed by the state.

Keen supporters of the State President within the ruling Islamic Union Front and his party, the People's Union Party have called it his "greatest victory yet, in maintaining the nation's path towards development and social harmony and peace" according to one anonymous congressman.

Loupgate killed moderate politics
If someone was to tell you that the party that won the most votes in the last election under a platform of moderation and centrism was now, a mere five months later, barely hanging on to relevance, you would probably laugh it off as a joke. Sadly, that’s not the case. The Social Democracy of Pisdara is now hovering around 5% support, and its ally in the United Coalition for Independence is facing a similar challenge with plummeting poll numbers. With the moderate parties in a nosedive after the scandal with Loup-CGT and corruption, Pisdaris are moving towrads more ideologically hardline groups. The Patriotic Front, a alliance of hardline anti-free associationists and conservatives, have coalesced their support and are currently leading in polls, while the agrarian, progressive, and democratic socialist Social Democratic Farmers Party has surged on a wave of support from former Social Democracy voters. The local political culture is changing, and it seems it is leaving behind the more moderate and centrist parties.

In a way, we knew this would happen. The United Coalition and Social Democracy are simply in a position where they broke the trust of many voters, and they deserve a slump in support. However, the death of moderatism and liberalism in Pisdara may see the rise of more extreme parties taking their places. If this is a lasting trend ia a question, but it is clear people are angry, and any person espousing anything remotely close to what United or Social Democracy said five months ago is going to have a time.

Pirates leave United Coalition as Petition to Dissolve Government gains ground
Leader of the Pirate Party of Pisdara Abiyamuta Addu officially declared his party’s split from the United Coalition for Independence electoral alliance today, joined by 21st Century Pisdara leader Sakar Kizito, who will merge his party with the Pirates as a way to bolster the small party. The split comes from the Loupgate scandal that has embroiled the rest of the alliance. Calling out his former allies for their corruption, Addu stated he plans to fight the next election alone, or with a different partner.

Regarding elections, Pisdara may be heading to the polls earlier than thought. Talks about forming a Petition to Dissolve Government has been gaining ground, especially among the strikers currently protesting in the towns. Citizens have a constitutional right to hold a referendum on whether to force the government to dissolve and talk new elections. Governments are allowed six months in office before a Petition can be officially formed, and the petition must be signed by thirty percent or more of the population before a proper referendum is held. The current government will be subject to petitioning in January of 2017, and it is expected they will face dissolvement and early elections around February or March, depending on the situation.

EDITORIAL The Ocelot Isles cannot afford to have a Deep Blue (Republican) Pavonistade
Date: November 30, 2016

Image
Kal Simpsen is the first naturalized citizen
to become a Pavonistadian presidential
candidate. Within his history is one of
anti-Ocelotian sentiment, which is why a
Deep Blue Pavonistade is huge trouble for
the Ocelot Isles.
With just over 100 days to go before Pavonistadians elect their next president, it seems that controversy after controversy is racking up. The Liberal presidential candidate Calvin Almor was blasted for his "un-Pavonistadian comments." Soon after EsquariLeaks exposed PASTA for contacting a Sinhakese party leader for suspicious purposes, and then threatened to drop bombshell leaks on the Liberal Party.

These are disgusting news for undecided voters in Pavonistade, and without doubt the right-wing parties are gaining traction. The Republicans under Kal Simpsen are especially notable, for they have not seen a surge of their own since 2001. Pollsters are no longer denying their ability to seriously challenge the faltering Democrats, and perhaps even the Liberals. It sounds encouraging for the conservatives and nationalists here in the Ocelot Isles.

But there is one problem: the Ocelot Isles cannot afford to have Pavonistade turn deep blue.

Kal Simpsen was a staunch opponent to Ocelotian independence. Throughout much of his life as a Republican Member of Parliament, he has supported nearly every measures taken to counter Ocelotian separatists while the sovereignty of the Ocelot Isles was disputed. And after the Ocelotian-Pavonistadian War, he worked to paint Ocelotians as the sole instigators of the whole sovereignty dispute and the ensuing violence. The last act he voted against prior to resigning mandated that the Pavonistadian government provide further financial and material assistance to the Ocelot Isles (this act ended up passing and being signed into law).

As if this wasn't enough, Simpsen himself openly declared in late 2001 that "the Ocelotians have a fundamental Pavonistadian identity" and that "power should have been used to annex rebellious Pavonistadians [Ocelotians] instead of signing an excessively-generous treaty and legitimizing their cause." After the Republican Party was voted out in 2001, Simpsen stated that a stern review of Ocelotian-Pavonistadian relations should take place if they return to power.

15 years later, Simpsen became a major presidential candidate and thus became the first naturalized Pavonsitadian to do so. He's leading the Republicans. And he's carrying over his anti-Ocelotian sentiments.

A lot of attention is focused on how Simpsen, a man that immigrated to Pavonistade from Luziyca at age 7, made history after succeeding in his party's leadership convention. Sooner or later, people will realize that if Simpsen's Republicans continue surging in popularity, becoming the official opposition or even the ruling party, the impacts on the Ocelot Isles will be immensely negative. This is not implausible as Pavonistadian provinces and constituencies swing quite readily; over a hundred constituencies went to the Conservatives in 2001 and then the Democrats secured a majority government in 2005.

Any chance available, Simpsen will use it to undermine Ocelotian trade, relations, legitimacy, whatever one can name. Stock exchanges in the Ocelot Isles such as the Kongeuvia Stock Exchange (KSE) are starting to decline due to the possible resurgence of the Republicans. If Simpsen really wins the Presidential Palace, a recession in the Ocelot Isles does not seem that far-fetched.

The best possible outcomes for Ocelotians would be a continued Light Blue Democratic government (possibly a minority) or a fresh Red Liberal government. Sure, a Light Blue or Red government will not appease a lot of conservative-leaning Ocelotians. It is still much better than having a Deep Blue government guided by a staunchly anti-Ocelotian president. There are not much options left: the Conservatives have overlapping platforms with the Republicans, and the other federal parties have zero chances of seizing presidency.

One should not expect a Deep Blue Pavonistade to be good news for Sinhako either. There are numerous allegations of racism and discrimination against Kal Simpsen, particularly towards the Shudri, since 1993, but he denied all allegations and claimed he is "a vigorous opponent of all forms of racism."

What everyone is seeing now may not be the same in the months to come. As EsquariLeaks prepares to expose the Liberals, Democrats continue losing support and Republicans picking up momentum, anything can change as days pass by. It is best if Simpsen stops gaining so much traction, but with odds favouring him further and further, Pavonistade may elect the most dangerous president since Jacquie Iatouqua, the president that led Pavonistade (1993-2001) during much of the Ocelotian Sovereignty Dispute - and also a fellow Republican.

Antelope Txo dies at 85
Image
Revered by supporters as the "Great Compromiser" and by detractors as a political opportunist, Txo was the oldest member of Namor's most powerful political dynasty
December 1, NMR 2380

NAMO, CAPITAL DISTRICT - After a decade-long battle with stomach cancer, Antelope Txo has passed away in his home in Tsosiyang, Arra at the age of 85. Until his death, the former Vice President and Liberationist Party leader had been the oldest member of what some call Namor's most powerful political dynasty.

Antelope Txo's press secretary said the late Vice President died just minutes before midnight, surrounded by wife Shun Sang and several other relatives.

The death marks the end of the life of a man who faced many challenges, twists and turns in his political career.

The son of late President-General Antelope Gelai and grandson of founding leader Antelope Yunglang, Antelope Txo was born in May 9, NMR 2295. His childhood was a story of separation and upheaval caused by the "Movement to Implement Comprehensive Liberationism Throughout Namorese Society (Green Fever)." At fifteen years of age, he was sent to West Namor as a member of the Green Youth Organization (GYO). President-General Kiang Ssxu - one of the main architects of the Fever - had invited Antelope Txo to become "a potential model revolutionary," but it was Txo's father - a silent critic of the Fever - who intervened and persuaded Kiang to offer Txo a less attractive position.

Antelope would return to Namo following the end of the Fever, and spent several years studying at Namo University. By the time he finished his studies, his father had secured control of the country and initiated political and economic reforms. As part of Northern Development, Antelope Txo moved northward and settled in the newly-built town of Txosiyang, Arra, where he became the local party secretary. Throughout and after his political career, Txosiyang would become Antelope's constituency and home.

In NMR 2330, Antelope stepped down as party secretary and became a deputy for the 47th Legislative District in the CenCo - a position he would hold for decades. In the meantime, his influence within the Liberationist Party grew - he entered the Politburo in NMR 2335 and the Politburo Standing Committee in NMR 2340, becoming secretary of the party's Control Sector. His accession to the party leadership came at a time when opposition parties were gaining momentum, threatening the Liberationists' decades-long hold on power.

By the time Antelope was suddenly named Vice President by President-General Chen Chanin in NMR 2347, the Liberationist Party was in disarray, with the public reeling from Su Shui's impeachment. While Chen managed to secure the presidency in the emergency election of NMR 2348, public disapproval of the Liberationists continued until the party was finally voted out of power in both the presidential and legislative elections of NMR 2353. It was then when the party chose Antelope to clean up their mess, naming him Secretary-General of the Liberationists - a position he would hold for the next two decades.

Promising to end the Liberationists' "crisis in credit," Antelope kicked off his secretaryship with an unprecedented movement to root out corruption within the party, expelling up to a million members.

He also presided over the "Great Shift," which saw the Liberationists shift from being the ruling Democratic Socialist Party's adversary to the its ally. For the first time in history, the Liberationists did not field a presidential candidate in NMR 2358, throwing its support behind incumbent President-General Wolf - who had defeated Chen and Antelope in NMR 2353. While the "shift" was welcomed by some as a sign of multipartisan unity, it was rejected by others as a betrayal of the party's core values. Nevertheless, it had profound effects on Namorese politics, bringing about the end of the Second Party System that was dominated by the Liberationists and DemSocs.
Image

during his only - and failed - presidential bid

Antelope broke with the DemSocs in NMR 2363 due to strained relations with Kaitlyn Khan, the DemSocs' nominee. He ran on behalf of the Liberationists, but underperformed with 21 percent of the vote. He tried forming an alliance with the right-leaning New Democrats, but ideological disagreements with the party forced the project to run out of steam. In NMR 2368, Antelope tried to win his party's nomination, but was stopped by skeptics who feared another run would ruin the Liberationists' chances of retaking power. The nomination went to Txotai Head of State Vang Jun. Although Antelope endorsed Vang, he subsequently said he would prefer any candidate but Fu Wen of the New Democrats. This contradictory "anti-right" policy contributed to Vang winning nearly 11 percent of the vote.

A humbled Antelope spent the last term of his secretaryship mending ties with the DemSocs. He tried bringing new blood to the Liberationists in recognition of the fact that the party could no longer survive on a dwindling generation of Namorese who grew up in the pre-revolutionary years. But critics within the party accused him of being an obstacle to that very attempt; by then, Antelope had become one of the Liberationists' old guard - he was the only member of the Politburo Standing Committee to have been born before NMR 2300.

Finally in NMR 2373, he stepped down, having announced his retirement a year earlier after receiving stomach cancer. Power was handed to his son Shohai, who went on to become President-General in NMR 2378.

Despite retiring, Antelope Txo continued to comment on national affairs from his home in Txosiyang. His autobiography, titled Supervise and Compromise, called on supporters of all Namorese parties to "have the courage to change." He celebrated his son's cruise to victory in the NMR 2378 presidential vote, but expressed hopes that Shohai will be the last of his family to serve in the Executive House.

"As much as I support my son, I hope my grandchildren can be among the people so that others can get a chance to serve our country," he said.

President-General: May "Comrade Txo" rest in peace

Hours after Antelope Txo's death was announced, President-General Antelope Shohai issued a video statement ordering all flags to fly at half-mast for 49 days. He addressed Txo as his father and called his passing "a devastating event."

"I am very fortunate to have worked with him, not just as a member of my party, but as his son. This is blessing that I will always hold dear to my heart," he said.

"Before he passed, my father called on all Namorese - regardless of party affiliation - to have the courage to change. He, like many others, understood that dynamism is what makes our nation great. As I stand here in mourning of my father's passing, I call on everyone in this country to uphold his legacy by continuously challenging themselves to think outside of the box for the betterment of all humankind. Comrade Txo, father, may you rest in peace."

Namsa Singho, leader of the Democratic Socialist Party that Antelope Txo's Liberationist Party tried to be on good terms with, joined in mourning the former Vice President's passing.

"After contributing his all to making our country a better place, Antelope Txo joins his father, the respected reformer [Antelope] Gelai, in a better place. We are saddened by his passing away and we will remember him," he said during a press conference.

The New Democrats, represented by Chairman Tsao Haojing, expressed their condolences to the Antelope family during "this very difficult time." People's First Coalition (PFC) chairman Ko Ping also expressed condolences.

As per the late Vice President and secretary's will, Antelope Txo will be buried in Txosiyang, Arra. A state funeral for him will be held on December 10.

Dual Announcements Frame Libertarian Contest
Kaplan, Miller Hold Back
Image
Steinberg Rallies at Biały Hawk Stadium
The race for the 2017 Libertarian presidential nomination shifted into high gear today, with competing announcements in the capital by former President Louis B. Steinberg and Senate Party Leader Fredrick Daniels. Mr. Steinberg, speaking to a recpetive crowd of the party faithfull at Biały Hawk Football Stadium, kicked off his much anticipated campaign to return to Kramden House in 2017. In an hour long rally, Mr. Steinberg pledged to carry the fight to every corner of the nation, citing as the main issue the erosion of workers rights and lowered status of small businesses and farmers under his successor, Issac Feld. "The working man needs a return to the fair deal policies we put into place when I was in charge! Over the last four years major banks and manufacturers have seen all the benefit of growth under the Feld Administration, and the man in the street, the student, the housewife, the hard working farmer is stuck with the tab! We need to return to the path we set in 2002, and make this once again a country where all will beneift from economic growth, not just the few at the top! Let's go out and spread the message, let's give hope to all segments of Cedarbrookese society that all can succeed, regardless of where they started in life! I look forward to taking this message to every corner of the Kramden!", Mr. Steinberg told the assembled.

The former President hit the incumbent and Conservative senators hard on quality of health services in lower income neighborhoods and rural backwaters. He said "Look at last year's election results, we returned to the Senate Presidency, and to the Northwest State House. Look at the rise of the Civic Alliance. Health concerns among
the less fortunate in West Cedarbrook and in the more remote areas were a driving force in these changes. And President Feld has consistently led the charge in the wrong direction throughout his tenure. Basic health services must be funded adequately. And the people know that I'll do it, too! The delays and bottlenecks we have seen in such basics as vaccine distribution are a cause for concern, and when I'm back at Kramden House, those pencil necked geeks in Internal Affairs know they'd better have answers! That's a committment you can take to your neighbors, you'd better believe it!"

Daniels Announces Candidacy
Image
Senator Daniels at Announcement
At the same time in Wrycova, in a Senate Conference Room, Mr. Daniels announced his bid for the Libertarian nomination. Although less bombastic than the former President, the Senate Libertarian Leader and 2012 Vice Presidential nominee struck a sharply contrasing stance to Mr. Steinberg in an appeal to the party's isolationist wing.

In his statement, Senator Daniels said "The primary emphasis of my presidency will be on domestic affairs. While all can agree with former President Steinberg that we are part of the Southern Ocean and Conitian communities, I believe that extraneous involvement in the north and the west can only strain our defensive resources, alientate otherwise friendly states, and could expose West Cedarbrook to unhealthy influences and foreign interests. We will return to a Cedarbrook First policy, with due respect to our traditional friends on the continent and other nations with which we enjoy cultural ties. The time has come to devote the resources of the government to West Cedarbrook first and foremost."

Senator Daniels spoke to domestic concerns at length, emphasizing issues in which he has been most involved since returning to his Central State seat in 2014. He provided great detail on his plan for rural development, including infrastructure funding increases for local and intercity road and air transportation, promoting telecommunications upgrades, and wider availability for vocational training. He also spoke at length of the need to promote primary and secondary school reform, and emphasizing the science cirriculum across the board. Most controversially, Senator Daniels announced that he would seek greater state and municipal autonomy in the use of funds and issuance of bonds. This was seen immediately by many observers as a sop to South State Governor James Prenevaou, the subject of ongoing corruption charges. His proposal leaves him exposed to charges of being soft on corruption by Mr. Steinberg, and, should he win the nomination, by President Feld and the conservatives.

No Comment from Mayors
The mayors of the largest and third largest municipalities were not present at either announcement. Port Yehoshua's Sara Miller was instrumental in the Libertarian senate campaign earlier this year, working in tandem with former President Steinberg. Since the September election Mayor Miller has resumed her efforts to further involve the tech community in Port Yehoshua's Arlen Heights neighborhood, hoping to limit the appeal of the upstart Civic Alliance. Miller, enjoying popularity in West Cedarbrook's third largest city, is also more popular with voters under 30 than either Steinberg or Daniels. While there is some question if Miller is seen as having the gravitas to handle the presidency in 2017, she has been seen as an attractive Vice Presidential pick for either announced candidates. Wrycova's Harry Kaplan, on the other hand, carries more baggage than Miller, being subject to heavy criticism from Conservative councilmen over police and fire coverage, budgeting, and his sporadic isolationist outbursts over the past 4 years. These themes have been echoed in recent days as Wrycova Conservatives jockey for position to challenge Mr. Kaplan next year. Among those potential challengers, councilmen Issac Shimmel and Moishe Taromsky have been most vocal in recent weeks. Wrycova Power and Light Board Chair Avrom Fisher has been more discreet in his criticism of the mayor. In the event Mr. Kaplan does decide to bid for the presidency, it is expected that Council President Berel Clocker would take the Libertarian nomination to succeed him. In either eventuality, City Prosecutor Charles Montreal is expected to be renominated by the Libertarians without challenge next year.

The Discovery of the Vela cluster
by Ivanka de Parteu

Image

The report of the discovery of a potentially major supercluster that extends across the Galactic Plane in the constellation of Vela has caused uproar within the ranks of the international scientific community. As shown in this map of the sky, our galaxy stretches across the center of the map. Colors denote distances to other galaxies; green is closer, and yellow and then orange are farther away; yet scientists remain skeptical.

An immense wall of galaxies, stretching over 380 million light-years, is hiding beyond the far side of the Milky Way. Superclusters are: assemblages of groups of galaxies — are among the largest known structures in the known universe.

Despite its size and relative proximity, Vela has gone unnoticed because it is largely obscured by our own galaxy.

Following up on earlier hints that an uncharted supercluster might lurk nearby, an astronomer; Danièle Arnéouk at the University of Novigrad, and her colleagues scoured a patch of sky bisected by a wall of stars that is part of the Milky Way. Using telescopes in South Nautasia and West Cedarbrook, they measured distances to 4,432 galaxies and found that many, to the north and south of the wall, appear to be clumped together.

Vela could help solve a long-standing mystery. The Milky Way and dozens of other galaxies in the immediate neighborhood move together through space. Gravity from known superclusters can account for some of that motion, but not all of it. Astronomers don’t yet know the mass — and hence the gravitational influence of Vela, but it could be partly responsible for nudging us along.

Liberationists rebrand themselves, some MPs defect to form new party with the Communists
Image
The first party leader of the Progressives

KRASIMIR, KRASIMIR - A massive political upset took place today as two events occurred: the Liberationist Party had finally shed its old identity after over a year of speculation, by officially renaming itself to the Progressive Party of Katranjiev. In response, five MPs from the Liberationist Party have quit the party, and have took sides with the communists to create The Left.

The change to Progressives
After a party conference, with votes split among ideological lines between those favoring the Zengist ways, and those seeking more moderation, Liberationist General-Secretary Rikard Daskalov issued a press release.

"The Liberationist Party [of Katranjiev] has, for a long time, represented oppression and totalitarianism. We have a desire to change our image, to moderate ourselves in order to attract more votes now that our historic region of support is mostly no longer part of Katranjiev," the statement read. "Therefore, after an emotional vote, it has been decided to change our name to the Progressive Party, and we have also significantly changed the platform so to attract more voters."

Daskalov immediately informed Elections Katranjiev of the change of name to the Progressive Party of Katranjiev, which was immediately approved.

While The Left breaks away
Immediately after word of the change came, five MNAs announced their intention to cross the floor and join forces with the Communists, which have had no representation since 1966 in the country's legislature.

Parliamentary Leader Yang Cho was one of the MPs who crossed the floor, stating that "abandoning our history and our Liberationist traditions will not bode well for our country. Thus, after consulting my colleagues, five of us, including myself, have decided to cross the floor, and end our association with the revisionist party."

"We have already contacted the Communists, and we have agreed to merge to create The Left after a half an hour on the phone, in order to continue the path that Comrades Antelope and Chen did lead, while giving our allies on the left a chance to have a say in Katranjiev's government."

The Left was swiftly registered at Elections Katranjiev, and has now been designated a political party. Thus, come Monday, when the National Assembly reconvenes after this weekend, there will be four parties in government for the first time since prior to the 1951 coup d'etat.

How the political realignment will affect Katranjiev
In Trifonov, the Liberationist Party which has 43 of 79 seats is on the verge of splitting: because the Liberationists had no ducal parties, as opposed to the Conservatives or Liberals, all Liberationist MLAs throughout the country will be forced to decide whether to go to The Left or stay with the Progressives, or to just become an independent MLA.

While for now, the Liberationists still maintain a majority in Trifonov's government, the split between The Left and Progressives would cause a minority government to form, and a potential for an early election. In addition, such a split would likely benefit the Liberals, which are currently the official opposition in Trifonov's legislature, with 28 seats, since if the governing party wishes to avoid an early election, they would need to form a coalition, either with each other, or with the Liberals.

For the next federal election, because the party has splintered, both parties may fare worse than if they stayed together, since vote splitting combined with the first-past-the-post system would cause either a Liberal or Tory MNA to take over.

Izrael stands Alone against terrorism!
by Efraim Hedeyimm

Image
OH-11 rushing out of Teh-inhala Settlement impeding Caliphate attack.

Peace in South Nautasia shatters after decades of peace since the end of the infamous Bush Wars, which solidified the control of Dominion of South Nautasia & Izrael power of the region and secured the survival of the state although it resulted to a long era of isolation from the world except some minor relations with the Kramden of West Cedabrook.

Time and again in the past 3 years, the National Conservative/Green coaltion has been guilty of hubris, monstrous miscalculation and underestimation of the complexity of the struggle of the underclass below the average Izraelian citizen. Government priorities haven't changed much since the 70's, mainting the status-quo of South Nautasia's society despite it's oppresive nature due to it's racial and political laws established to ensure the ruling minority continued to be hated by the majority and other minorities which have been shut out of the system since the birth of the second Dominion.

The social issues that dominated South Nautasia the previous century continue to cause troubles to the government. Many militant groups have announced to resume their struggle against the national government until the "Order of Apartheid and Zionism ends in tatters".

The first group announcing resuming it's armed struggle is the Tanabian Communist party, after being 'outraged' by the recent military crackdown and the forced relocation of C-MRU forced relocation into the dependent territory. Two days ago, TCP militants attempted raiding a military supply convoy only to fall into Č-MRU ambush resulting in 15 dead and 3 wounded for the TCP and 2 wounded and another 8 injured from the Č-MRU ranks. Although the Governor-General of Tanabia has critisized the central government's decision to forcefully move YN-RP members as colonists into Tanabia, the government's response was "in order to promote peace within the communities and at the same time increase the Bulghar population within Tanabia itself due it has been declining significantly for the last two decades" although the Coaltion government has failed to see that YN-RP would get more seats into the Képviselőház in the upcoming elections less than four weeks from now at Tevet 3rd 5777(January 1st 2017).

On other news: Caliphate announces it's presence within South Nautasia and claims "it's own jihad it's the only true Jihad" creating a fierce inter-islamist conflict between the resurgent fanatics of the Talehban'n(Taliban) and Caliphate fighters. Yesterday a mosque sucpected having relations with the Talehban'n was bombed by Caliphate suicide bomber. There have been speculations over why the two groups fight instead of cooperating but the State Intelligence Directorate believes its for leadership contest, nevertheless that makes the job much easier for the men and women of all security branches.

The terrorist groups internal conflict has caused internal fracture on the non-citizen society while the Democratic Alliance critisizes the government of 'intentionally letting this get out of hand so they can control easier the oppressed majority so they can facilitate their rule over the country'.

7th day of the 11th month
6th year of Sumun
3,327th Year of the Imperial Calendar
14th Day of Syelset

First Birth in Space Expected
"No Discernible Concern" on Pregnancy in Space Station

True to its name, Himang space station might become another beacon of hope and prosperity for the future of both the Empire of His Most Serene Majesty and humanity as a whole, as the first pregnancy in outer space from the Empire is expected to be delivered in foreseeable future without significant threat to both the child and the mother, according to an announcement from the Imperial Combine for Cosmic Development.

Such auspicious announcement was released during a press release in Anheuser Cosmodrome on yesterday night. According to Chief Director Yuware Niyuki, the Lyenwa 2 mission, which was launched from the facility on auspicious day previously, was accompanied by healer-apothecary selected from the elite among the clergy of the Imperial Cult. Following its docking with the space station, the medical professionals performed a "baseline diagnosis" on Lisang Wen-Komod and her foetus.

Despite the lack of advanced equipment present on the space station, the diligent servants of His Most Serene Majesty managed to conduct a sufficient examination on the wellbeing of the concerned individuals, with a combination of ingenuity and latest advent in equipment miniaturisation. Combined with analysis of vital signs and the preliminary report on ground, the first birth in outer space in Imperial history can be expected within a month or two.

According to the press release, the medical staff will remain on Himang station until birth to ensure the safety of delivery. The precise timeline of their return has yet to be scheduled, but is expected to occur within six months after birth depending on their medical condition.

The entire staff of Hosaki Yomi'uri wishes nothing but the best for the Wen-Komod family. An exclusive interview with the fortunate father and mother is currently being arranged in cooperation with the Imperial Combine for Cosmic Development.

Newsette and Other Featured Content

  • Imperial Navy Vessel Repels High Seas Pirate: The Sea Forces of His Most Serene Majesty scored another victory over piracy in high seas yesterday, as a naval detachment of the 3rd escort fleet engaged another pirate vessel in the Great Ocean. With its warning fell to deaf ears, the diligent frigate fired several warning shots towards the pirate ship, successfully chasing it off. The Admiralty of Tjavualji, under which the escort fleet was assigned, had been notified of the development, sending a congratulation on their success.
  • Cooperation between Empire and Nordania on Space Development Continued: Despite unfortunate misunderstanding between the Empire and the polities of Nordania, the Imperial Combine for Cosmic Development and the Imperial Space Forces maintain that its negotiation with Nordanian Space Agency shall not be hampered. While the Lyenwa space missions are reserved for members of Monic Union and Tengkong system, the Combine states that missions with Nordanian Space Agency can be expected to be its own series. Although details are still under negotiation, insider informants suggest the mission might pertain to deep space development, including a possible manned mission to other celestial bodies in the near future.
  • Monic Union to Hold Culinary Event: The Executive Council of Monic Union has announced its intention to hold a "culinary festival" in the near future, with the goal of promoting the multitude of delicacy among members of the Monic civilisation. The precise venue of the event will be decided in the following meeting. The Culinary Office of the Ministry of Rites will be offering its full support towards the festival, with possible reward for chef who achieve excellency during the event.

Visinia declares independence from Ceresnia
“The pressure has built immensely and is now higher than ever before”, says President

Image

Fot. Prasa

“The pressure has built immensely and is now higher than ever before,” states the President of Ceresnia, Gregori Vostrikov. “This is the first time since 1947 that a state declares full independence from any entity related to Ceresnia, and this is the first time in over two centuries that authorities are so concerned over an incident. I'm not saying that the Visinian secession means war and torment for decades, yet it does make us consider using the correct techniques to get rid of them.” It is now official that an entity by the name of Visinia, ruled by former guerrilla leader, Radomir Brostkov, has declared its secession from the Second Ceresnian Republic. “It's a truly controversial day,” comments the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ceresnia, Fabian Danutovski. “We have watched how stable and peaceful Ceresnia was over the past two decades, and have grown paranoid that something somewhere, will soon come and disturb that peace – and we were right.”

Anonymous sources have claimed that an invasion of Visinia by Ceresnia is apparently imminent, yet this is most likely a misinterpretation of the earlier speech by the President of Ceresnia, Gregori Vostrikov, in which he stated that 'the correct techniques will be considered to be used.' This, however, opens our eyes and shows us that a secession is not just a 'news sensation' but also something that should be stopped as soon as possible.

No troops have been stationed in Visinia yet, however according to recent reports, the army have been training more intensively and getting ready for action since the Visinian declaration of independence. A state of national emergency is considerable according to the Minister of Defence, Andrei Falukaz, yet no levels of awareness have been raised yet.

As protests continue with dwindling supplies, deputies call for early elections
Image
With the general strike still continuing under the threat of starvation, Shu Durul
(pictured), among other deputies, repeated their call for new elections in 2017.

With the general strike entering its second month, weariness is starting to set in, both on the street and in the Legislature. This hasn’t stopped strikers from demanding higher wages and the nationalization and seizure of textile manufacturer Loup-CGT’s assets in the country, but it is clear the protests and riots have worn Pisdara down. Food prices in Ashuragar and other towns have skyrocketed has farmers and labourers refuse to return to the fields, and trade with Ainin as all but dried up. The Revolutionary Labour Federation, which is the primary organizer of the strike, has set up temporary soup kitchens and food banks in Entana Park to try and keep the picketers fed and morale up. One striker, Abi Ur, stated that he essentially has lived in the park with other protesters since the strike’s start, and that food and other basic essential supplies were dwindling. “It’s scary. Me and my wife are both here striking and trying to protect our rights as workers, but what do we do about our children? They’re going to be starving soon if we get no food.”

Although some donations have been made, the strikers are still in a precarious position. However, the Legislature they’re protesting against is in even a worse state. With the near-dissolvement of the United Coalition for Independence and the constantly changing polls, no one is expecting the current government to last to the end of its term in 2018. In fact, many deputies, led by Social Democratic Farmers’ leader Shu Durul, have made calls to hold an early election by February 2017 at the latest. “In January of next year, the citizens of Pisdara have the right to petition the government to dissolve via a referendum, and I am certain that come January they will choose that, and I do not blame them at all.” Deputy Durul continued, stating that the current Legislature, now split between six constantly fighting groupings, should gather what remaining dignity it has and accept the decision to dissolve and hold an election if the perceived referendum passes. Durul, backed by Pirate leader Abiyamuta Addu, also announced their support for the general strike and the hope that the picketers could put pressure on the Legislature. “We need something to keep us in check and to tell us when we made a mistake. That’s the job the citizen and voter has”, Deputy Addu stated.

Police arrest students for disrupting social harmony

Police in Estanban have successfully cleared the Union University campus of protesters, after students "protested" over the government's decision to ban discussions of political reform, in order to keep the nation focused on completing the revolution and defeating terrorism. General Alep Mehmet of the Estanban Police Command confirmed that 64 people had been arrested and 11 injured as police cleared the campus. Similar disturbances were reported at two other universities in Erdek and Zahedan however they lacked sufficient energy and ended within an hour.

State President Evren Volkan with the Central Committee of the Union Front.

Around 850 students amassed on the main road outside Estanban Union University to "protest" against the government's decision to ban discussions on political reform. Students have been banned from protesting on campus grounds since 1983, or face suspension of studies.

The students reportedly planned their "protest" online via a banned communication app, the Ministry of State Security is reportedly investigating the app and how the students accessed it, despite extensive government cyber-systems designed to protect citizens from negative influences on the internet.

They amassed outside the university entrance on Tarek Davutoğlu Avenue and began chanting slogans against State President Evren Volkan and the state. Although peaceful, their chants were reported by a patriotic citizen and police quickly arrived to shut down the protest. Despite initial attempts to end it peacefully, students began throwing projectiles at police, who then moved to clear it forcefully.

General Mehmet stated that "police officers dealt with the disturbance efficiently, professionally and swiftly. We arrested 64 individuals for violence against police officers and disturbing social harmony. 9 protesters were hospitalised due to resisting arrest, whilst two officers were also injured; suffering head wounds from projectiles. We have cleared Tarek Davutoğlu Avenue and are in full communication with the university over the students" he explained during a press conference.

The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of State Security have all issued Red Warnings to universities and other places of education, stating that the "government has authorised the police command and state gendarme to deal with any protest against Central Committee Decree No. 8853 with due force, we urge students not to jeopardise their educations and future lives by giving in to the manipulations of foreigners and subversives online".

Minister of Justice Admiral Öcan Gündoğdu praised the efforts of the Estanban Police Command, saying in an online statement, "our brave police officers have once again cleared the streets of subversives who's only goal is to bring disunity and doubt to our national cause".

All 64 students arrested face charges of disrupting social harmony, which can carry sentences of up to 6 months, those arrested for assaulting police officers can face up to two years in prison. The Union University has stated that it will review each case, as to whether to suspend the studies of all students arrested in today's disturbance.

Chairman of the Estanban Union University, Prof. Ali Erbakan said that "we are deeply disturbed by the actions of our students today, as such we are fully cooperating with the authorities in investigating their actions and motivations. I have also directed the Board of Student Admissions to review the cases of all those arrested today to determine whether their studies are indeed suspended.

"This university works hard to ensure that our students are protected from malicious ideologies and ideas that may provoke such behaviour, we will be looking into how we failed and ways to improve" he said in an interview with reporters.

The MSS also reported similar disturbances at the Erdek Academy of Social Sciences and the Zahedan Islamic University, albeit the groups only numbered in the tens and were swiftly shutdown by police peacefully. The disturbances today prompted the Secretary of the Student Association of the National Youth Federation to denounce the "protest" in an online statement.

It read, "as the representative of all students within the National Youth Federation, I must stress to all citizens of the Union that their actions are theirs alone and most certainly not in our name. I urge all of my comrade students to remain steadfast, if you hear calls to repeat the travesty of today, report it, we cannot stand idle and silent as our comrades make stupid decisions on the basis of invalid arguments" Akın Birdal wrote.

Prime Minister Akbari has denounced the protests as "petty and disruptive", whilst Minister of National Defence General Burak Güven denounced them as "utterly insulting the martyrs in Irvadistan, as our sons, husbands and fathers fight the evil of takfiri terrorism, our students rally against them, never been so disgusted" he told reporters earlier today.

A spokesman for the State President stated that the government would show zero tolerance towards further disruption of social harmony and "would crackdown hard on any individual or group that aims to undermine our collective effort to bring total victory to the Union against terrorism and imperialist exploitation of our continent."

Kal Simpsen declares "Ocelot Isles is still a province of Pavonistade"
Date:
6 December, 2016

The Republican Party presidential candidate, Kal Simpsen, got himself in the hot seat over open statements that are making critics fear may restart over two decades of conflict with the Ocelot Isles. And it appears that Simpsen is not going to back down from his comments.

The Pavonistade Agency of News recently interviewed the Luziyca-born candidate regarding his stance on the Ocelot Isles. Simpsen himself had a history of opposing Ocelotian independence and cracking down on Ocelotian separatists, thus his history was called into question. PAN journalist Erica Mayes asked Simpsen about whether or not his past actions were justified, judging from a present-day perspective. The candidate proceeded to speak out from his mind.

"I am proud to have been among the many people that worked to curb the actions of Ocelotian separatists, particularly the violent insurgents," Simpsen responded to Mayes. "People who demanded independence at the time of the dispute were terrorist thugs or were ignorant sympathizers. It was important that extreme action was taken to suppress these insurgent threats. So indeed, they are justifiable to this day, and I did my own part to try and stop the aggressive insurgents."

Simpsen went on to state, "To tell the truth, I have the same beliefs that I had back then because it makes perfect sense to do so. The Ocelot Isles is still a province of Pavonistade, and nothing will change that fact. Their culture is basically our culture and their language is basically our language. It was not reasonable for them to say they want to become a separate nation and throw a big tantrum over not getting their own independence. It was only because we bowed down to them with the late President Mattheu Azurite that they stopped their tantrum."

Mayes inquired further about Simpsen, now having shown that he is holding onto his old considerations. The PAN journalist asked what he would do with regards to the Ocelotian-Pavonistadian relations if he becomes president. Simpsen spoke of a radical approach.

"I will sever diplomatic relations with the illegitimate Ocelotian state, I will recall our Ambassador from Kongeuvia, and I will expel the Ambassador of this breakaway province. I will show Esquarium that the Ocelot Isles is an illegitimate country and I will see to it that one day, the Ocelot Isles will again be a province of Pavonistade," Simpsen detailed.

Simpsen's interview aroused widespread anger among Ocelotian communities across Pavonistade. Within hours after the PAN interview was aired, several Ocelotian figures have vowed to lead demonstrations in major Pavonistadian cities against the Republican Party. Other people expressed uncertainties about the future, as University of Gordhoss professor James Adelaide stated that "Simpsen's agenda may threaten to undo decades of work towards resolving bilateral tensions and Ocelotian-Pavonistadian violence."

But not everyone was displeased by Simpsen's comments. Conservative Party candidate Alexander Levant joked that "he [Simpsen] got more guts than I do." He continued added that while he "did not align with Simpsen's approach," he "fully understands the Ocelotian problem that Simpsen is highlighting." He believed that "the Ocelotian dispute may be over, but the suffering endured by Pavonistadians remain." Pavonistade First candidate Jules Capaldi declared he "welcomed Simpsen's fearlessness" but has warned that "such fearlessness may not be used justly."

In response to outrage over his comments, Simpsen responded that he was "only telling the truth and explaining what values must be stood for." He said there will be no apology for his remarks and claimed he "was not particularly interested in the emotions of certain people."

There were also other times that Simpsen was in hot waters for his comments. While he was governor of Toloupum Sector in 2010, he was caught saying to his aide, "Shudri people should quit acting like vicious savages." His motive for that statement was not known but he vowed to not apologize. Much more recently, Simpsen said last Wednesday that "Nantai is Luziycan, whether people like it or not," prompting a response from Namor's Foreign Ministry saying that his comments were "erroneous."

Progressives and The Left co-author bill to adopt new voting system
Image
The People's Palace in Krasimir

KRASIMIR, KRASIMIR - As speculation abounded regarding the future of the two parties coming the next election, two MNAs, Zhenya He of The Left, and Shuren Hu of the Progressives tabled a bill to change the voting system from first past the post to STV (using the Hare quota as in Shibdan, and in Luziycan and Katranjian EC elections) and raising the number of MNAs in the National Assembly for the first time in its history, from 150 members to 300 members.

The debate
Shuren Hu, MNA from Trifonov-Northeast, after reading the contents of the bill explained that "for a long time, the Katranjian government has discriminated against smaller parties, meaning that even if they win a third of the vote in each and every constituency, they would not be able to have their say because their opponent could win."

Shuren Hu pointed to the results of Talnakh-East, where in the 2014 federal election, the Liberals got 44% of the vote, and the Liberationists 7% of the vote. However, the Conservatives got 46% of the vote and won, despite not have a majority of support for the voters.

As soon as Hu released those stats, the MNA for Talnakh-East, Angel Stoyev of the Conservatives rose. "Mr. Speaker," he declared, "the point of this system is to determine who wins the local elections. While I agree with the MNA from Trifonov-Northeast in that I was elected by a minority of voters, the truth is that I got the most votes out of the candidates on the ballot. Each MNA represents his constituency, after all."

Zhenya He of Haruki then rose: "Mr. Speaker, if a majority of people voted against a candidate for an MNA, and yet, the MNA still manages to win the constituency, then it is clear that the 54% need to have a say too. They will feel that their MNA does not represent their interests. We consider our proposal to be fair and just, because it ensures that the people will get an MNA who they can tolerate. In addition, having more than one MNA per constituency represents the best interests of the population and because we can rank our preferences, it will help the smaller parties win."

By 2:30 pm, the debate ended, and the vote was taken to send the bill to second reading.

Liberals - 72 AYES, 9 NAYS
Conservatives - 57 NAYS
Progressives - 7 AYES
The Left - 5 AYES

Thus, out of the 150 MNAs, there were 84 votes in favor of the bill, 66 votes against, and no abstentions.

Response from the Prime Minister's Office
Prime Minister Magarit Ogynan announced her support of electoral reform, explaining that "since for most of our history, our legislature has had 150 seats, except the Liberationist era when we only had 100 seats, it is time that we give our people greater representation. Increasing the number of seats and adopting single-transferable vote will help ensure greater representation in the National Assembly."

She also declared that if the bill gets royal assent and promulgated by Her Majesty, the Queen, she will call fresh elections using the new system once the new constituencies have been drawn by Elections Katranjiev, meaning that by mid-2017 at the latest, there will be a federal election using STV.

Ceresnia annexes Visinian claims

Image
Fot. Tadimar Krasak

A full-scale annexation of the territory claimed by Visinian revolutionary leaders earlier today and a search after the main leaders of the rising has been launched. Upon capture, they will be treated with respect, yet may face extremely heavy penalty charges for claiming territory that is Ceresnian is their own.

“It's been expected since the announcement of the secession of Visinia from Ceresnia. I do not understand why people would support the independence of a region that is not even historical, just appearing out of nowhere - it drives me mad, to be honest,” commented the General of the Ceresnian Land Forces, “It has no right to be.” These words have been described as 'drastic' and 'threatening' by the revolutionary leaders of Visinia, who count on international help to maintain their sovereignty.

“Today will be a truly internationally controversial day, with the deployment of Ceresnian troops back into the territory claimed by Visinian revolutionary leaders, with the turning of the situation upside down with the unfortunate and maniacal assassination attempt carried out by none other than Radomir Brostkov and his 'helpers'.” This deployment of troops into the People's Republic of Visinia, as it had been declared at its secession, will hopefully bring the international arena onto our side.

Into the land claimed by the so-called Visinian People's Republic, we have deployed over 2,000 troops, 150 tanks, 12 bombers and several other units. We seek to improve this arsenal with the help of the international arena and other countries' aid. The awareness level all around the Second Ceresnian Republic has been raised to a maximum, or a 'red warning level'. With this statement, we hereby condemn the nations who stand on the other side of the barrier and plead them to challenge their own thoughts significantly.

8,000 terrorists destroyed in devastating offensive

The ANA and fighters from the Supreme Command for Jihad and Unification have reportedly destroyed a force of over 8,000 terrorists in western Irvadistan. It comes after two weeks of heavy fighting north of Habroun, in which the terrorists were encircled by ANA armoured and mechanised forces into a tight pocket. The ANA also reported large gains in eastern Irvadistan, with the capture of Al-Hindiya, south of Gizka. The defeat of the Caliphate north of Habroun reportedly marks the heaviest loss of life inflicted on the terrorist movement since the Union began its march towards total victory on May 10th.

The General Staff Headquarters released the statement this morning describing the "ANA's greatest victory over the terrorist movement to date", the fighters were surrounded some 25km north of Habroun following the resumption of the offensive towards Luqya. The superior and brave tank men and infantry shattered terrorist lines outside the village of Al-Farukiya, driving north and then west around terrorist positions. This drive linked up with another force that had captured the town of Tal Sadiqqi, encircling 8,000 terrorists, who lacked vehicles to escape on 15th November.

The pocket was bombed daily by the ANAF and ANA artillery, as the ground forces enclosed on it, reducing it in size slowly but surely as to avoid heavy losses. The General Staff Headquarters reported that by the 25th November, the pocket had become hell for the terrorists, who were suffering major shortages in ammunition and replacement weapons. With no hope of breaking out or reinforcements by the 5th November the pocket began to collapse as the ANA launched a final offensive to destroy it.

According to the GSHQ, the pocket's collapse resulted in 1,500 fighters surrendering and at least 6,600 dead terrorists, with the remainder being injured or missing. However, the GSHQ regretfully reported that 103 ANA and SCJU soldiers had been martyred from November 15th till today fighting around the pocket.

With 8,000 terrorists liquidated, the so-called Caliphate is facing an existential crisis as it faces pressure from Koy-Irvadi forces and Kraqi forces, suffering losses that it cannot replace due to a huge decline in foreign fighters. Constant bombings by the ANAF on suspected bomb factories, money caches and workshops repairing vehicles and weapons have also hampered the terrorists ability to fight a long term conflict.

Mastermind of the Union's operation in Irvadistan, General Adnan Terim explained in a press conference that the "National Armed Forces are witnessing increasing gains with each successive victory, we are now certain that we shall reach Luqya by early 2017. However resistance is increasing in terms of intensity but not success, the enemy is suffering shortages of all kinds, including manpower and capable commanders.

"Furthermore, the National Armed Forces' victory over the terrorists in the Qalat Sukar pocket will leave the terrorists with a chronic shortage of fighters south of Luqya as they confront our comrades in eastern Irvadistan in the regime's latest offensive. As it stands, since May 10th this year, we believe to have killed a minimum of 14,500 to a maximum of 22,870 terrorists and injured over 25,000. We currently host 5,496 prisoners of war, who are being re-conditioned back into human beings.

"We are approaching final victory against terrorism and we shall do so ruthlessly and swiftly" he said.

In way of the ANA-SCJU forces and Luqya are 14 towns and over 300 villages, all of which will be heavily defended by the terrorist movement. As the indefatigable and righteous forces of the Union march on the terrorist heart in Luqya, their desperation will become more apparent, already they have begun using car and suicide bombers on ANA-SCJU forces, this will only get worse. But the one thing that puts the Union's forces apart from others fighting the terrorists, is its willingness to confront this evil with even greater conviction and willingness to face martyrdom - in the Union the terrorists face a better armed, trained, led force that fears death as little as they do.

Despite an increase in losses since the resumption of the offensive, the ANA-SCJU forces remain resolute in defeating the so-called Caliphate. To capture Luqya, a great deal of blood will need to be spilt, but the Union is the one to do it.

Ainin connection

Another development was reported by the GSHQ this afternoon, officers of the 13th Infantry Brigade captured a warehouse complex north of the Qalat Sukar Pocket, inside they found over 4,000 weapons of Aininian design and origin. This warehouse contained assault rifles, sniper rifles, shoulder-launched anti-air missiles and anti-tank guided missiles. Lt. Hassan Agadashloo reported that this "ATGMs" were responsible for the destruction of 47 tanks since the resumption of the offensive, when speaking to Aksiyon's attached reporter.

Although the weapons are old and obsolete in some instances, they are vastly different from the weaponry used by the Caliphate which are most Koy in origin, due to the vast amounts of weaponry captured from Irvadi and Kraqi forces during its initial storm across both countries. The Ministry of State Security and the Supreme Command for Strategic Intelligence have reportedly begun a joint investigation into the weapons, interrogating POWs in the hope of finding the routes and means used by the terrorists to acquire the weapons.

Colonel Osman Karadoğlu of the SCSI stated that "we need to investigate every instance of the terrorists gaining control of weaponry, including weapons that do not fit the standard or tradition of the conflict. At this time we are not ruling out that states who use these weapons are supplying the terrorists, but we are not confirming this or arguing this either. It is likely that the terrorists are receiving these weapons through the black market.

"Our investigation will be thorough and should this result in the discovery of a state backed supply effort, I am sure the Union will respond sufficiently" he told ATR News.

The SCSI has stated that it believes around 280 ANA and SCJU soldiers have been martyred or injured as a result of these weapons, including the downing of three helicopter gunships and last week's downing of a chinook carrying injured soldiers which killed 22. Around 48 to 50 tanks and armoured vehicles have been destroyed as a result of ATGMs like the models found in the warehouse, killing and injuring around 98 soldiers.

BREAKING: 48 killed in Zahedan bombing

A large car bomb has struck central Zahedan, killing at least 48 people according to the Zahedan Police Command. The explosion ripped through the Jobar Shopping District at 13.25pm, when it was busy with mid-day shoppers. Around 104 people have been reportedly injured. The Ministry of State Security has blamed to the so-called Caliphate for the bombing and has launched a full-scale investigation into terrorist infrastructures in Zahedan.

Buket Atalay, a mother and nurse was visiting a boutique shoe shop when the blast hit, she explained to ATR News that she "was looking at shoes for work, when there was this huge explosion, it felt like a wave of burning hot wind hitting everything in the shop, the windows shattered, people and the clothes racks were thrown towards the back of the shop, it feels like I am lucky to be alive".

Sarena Devani, a local business owner explained shortly after that a "big white van was driving slow down the road, the traffic was bad, I didn't take much notice. I was dealing with some emails when this huge boom happened, everything shook and then I heard screaming, so I ran out to help and found hell", she was fortunate, her property only suffered minor damage.

Of the 104 people injured, 66 are currently suffering from serious conditions, leading Zahedan Police Command officer, Lt. General Mohammad Parsi to warn that the death toll will likely rise as those in serious conditions succumb to their injuries.

"I know that the medical personnel of Zahedan are working tirelessly to save as many of these innocents as possible, but we must prepare ourselves for more martyrs. We have now begun to search the ruins of several shops destroyed in the bombing and sadly again, we expect to find more martyrs. So it is likely the death toll of this heinous crime will increase" he explained.

The bombing is the first to strike the Union since the intervention in Irvadistan, owed to the extensive and highly professional security services that protect the Union and its people. The Ministry of State Security will also be launching an internal investigation to determine how it failed to foil this plot.

The Popular Committee for Combating Extremism, a body set up in 2014 to deal with the radicalisation of the Union's Sunni citizens has announced an investigation in conjunction with the Zahedan Police Command (ZPC) and the Ministry of State Security (MSS). The PCCE has already begun interviewing Sunni citizens to discover whether any individual was acting suspiciously over the past few days.

General İsmet Öcalan, the head of the PCCE has told ATR News that "it is highly likely that those responsible for today's atrocity are agents of the so-called Caliphate who have remained silent and under the radar since the intervention in May, they have waited over six months to strike at our innocent civilians. We will renew our ceaseless efforts to track down any individual who has ties to terrorism and destroy them as a threat to the Union".
State President Evren Volkan has declared a day of national mourning in remembrance of those murdered in today's bombing, he is expected to address the nation later this evening as more details of the attack come to the fore. In a statement released on his website, the State President offered "national prayers and condolences to the families of the martyrs made today, we must not relent in our pursuit of total victory over these animals. Sadly attacks like these are the cost of successes against a vile enemy".

Senior Supreme Cleric, Ali Akbari Khorsani released a video statement stating that "the entire Islamic World mourns the deaths of innocents in Zahedan and elsewhere. We must not weaken in our resolve to overcome the evils of this world. We must not weaken our love for one another and our love for God in face of such evil actions, the righteous will also defeat the wicked" he said.
