The New Terminus Conglomerate

The new Terminus Conglomerate is a collection of mega corporations and Systems that have come together under one banner in the interests of mutual cooperation and mutual gain. With its capital based on the Planet Terminus on the Far Reaches of the Outer-rim. The Conglomerate constitutes a voice for the southern outer rim in the Galactic Conclave where single systems simply do no have enough sway to get things done themselves.

The Conglomerates Home System (The Terminus System) Is situated on a vital interlinking of the Corellian Trade Spine and the Hydian way two massive trade routes that span from the galactic north to the Galactic South. This situation gives the Galactic Conglomerate massive economic sway as it is widely seen as the gate way to Wild Space.

The Terminus conglomerate as many call it is comprised mostly of the Kallea Sector where the Terminus system is situated, how ever it hold claim over Polis Massa System and the Mustafar System both of which is uses to fuel its economic ambitions in the region. Relatively new to the Galactic playing field and with a relatively antiquated military to many of the major powers in the galaxy the conglomerate uses its connections and economic power to gain the resources it needs to both progress as a nation and defend itself from any one that may incur on their territory.

Conglomerate History


The History of the Conglomerate isn't a particularly long one or violent one, the conglomerate was born out of the need for larger presentation in and on the Galactic Conclave.With systems with little to know say banding together in mutual agreement with the aim to better there position on the Conclave to ensure the more Core Centric groups are kept at bay.

Political System

The Conglomerate is quite unique in the way it deals with political matters. The Conglomerate is made up of political parties backed by Corporations in a parliamentarian fashion. Despite the political agenders of the Corporations the citizens of the Conglomerate have allot of rights protecting them and ensuring they are paid fairly for their labour. The Entire nations is rather liberal on many fronts due to its proximity to wild space and its position on the end of both the Haydian way and the Corellian Trade Spine most goods are legal in the Conglomerate despite galactic Conclave regulations.

The President
The Conglomerate is directed and lead by the President a man who is elected by the Conglomerate citizens every 6 years. He is deemed head of state for those 6 years in office and has executive power over the Conglomerate council. The President has the sole power to declare war on other states. The President also has the right to propose new bills to the Conglomerate council and call emergency sessions should the need arise.

The Conglomerate Council

The Conglomerate council is a council of elected System representatives and corporation heads that meet to discuss internal and external matters of the state it has been instrumental in the growth of the Terminus System and the Kallea Sector in general opening up trade with Wild space and passing that trade onto the Core worlds under its guidance. The Council has many excuative powers and most bills need a two thirds majority to be passed.

The Council is split up into many departments:

Each council has a specific role to play and is run by council members as well as many civil servents under the council member that is appointed to the posistion by the President of the Conglomerate.

Deparment of Commerce and Economics
Head of Department: Councilwoman Natasha York

The Department of commerce and Economics os one of the most important departments in the conglomerate council. Because of the trade that flows through the Terminus system and by extension of the whole of the Conglomerate makes it one of the main avenues of revenue for the Conglomerate due to the sheer traffic that flys through the Terminus system. The relative lack of regulations followed by the Department has allowed for the Trade sector to flourish making the Conglomerate one of the prime trading hubs in the southern Outer rim.

Department of Law
Head of Department: Councilman Darvos Do'lan

The Department of law controls the Police and customs operations in the Terminus System and the Whole of the Conglomerate. Whilst the department is headed by Councilmen Do'lan the respective law enforcement forces are headed by Cheif of Police Zarn Hart and Customers Commander Admiral Pholus Lynch. The main roles of the forces are to keep the population safe and keep what little substances that are classed as contraband out of Conglomerate space. It has been known for the police forces to be quite militaristic at times when dealing with pirate threats and smugglers causing outrage in some cases for there heavy handedness in the dealings how ever the government has always backed them up stating that "Policing the Frontiers is a very dangerous job". It is not unusual for the Customers forces and the Police forces to work together in anti-pirate and anti-smuggler operations.

Department of Education
Head of Department: Councilman Jonas Hess

The Department for Education runs and maintains thestate owned places of educations within the Conglomerate. The schools follow the galactic standard of education set out by the Galactic conclave to a high standard,it is compulsary for all children up to the age of 16 standard years to attened public schooling. Whilst the state runs and owns numerous colleges and higher learning facilities alot of students with the money will head coreward to gain their higher enducation.

Department of Health
Head of Department: Councilwoman Zarna Hojen

Whilst the Conglomerate does not have a national health service and most hospitals are privetised under heath trusts, the Department of health does fund and run hundreds of medical clinics across the Conglomerate giving its citizens access to rudimentary health care. How ever it does suggest to all its citizens to take out health insurence encase they should fall seriously ill.

Department of Defence
Head of Department: Councilman Marcus Lorren

Whilst the Department of Defence does not have direct control over the Conglomerate military forces it does control through the council its budget. the department is responsible for the requisition of weapons and supplies for its military forces. Its mian role how ever is acting as a liason between the military officials and the Council.

Department of Science
Head of Department: Councilman Dr. Whiss Noon

The Department of Science deals with internal and external research done by both its scientists and scientists around the galaxy. It has been responsible for some advances in Mining Technology in both zero-G and in harsh environment such as Mustafar. Although a wide variety of technology passes through Conglomerate on a daily basis, alot of it goes through the Department of Science for analysis before it is widely adopted into the nation. Due to its proximity to wild space and the wealth of space faring nations that reside in it the Conglomerate has incorporated some unusual technologies.

Department of Industry
Head of Department: Councilman Theo Yoruk

The Department of Industry works along side the the Department of Economics and Commerce. it regulates and ensures that the industries within the conglomerate adhere to the regulations and rules set by the council. It also runs several state owned industries that deal mostly with military goods. The Terminus Ship yards is run by a state owned company set up by the Department of Industry. The state employs over 200,000 workers in various roles.

Department of Infrastructure
Head of Department: Councilwoman Lia Dront

The Department for Infrastructure is responsible for the daily workings of the Conglomerate ensuring that public services and other services provided such as water and electricity lines are kept in good working order and are not in a state of disrepair, on the City world of Terminus the Department of Infrastructure is responsible for the air scrubbers and and other environmental enhancing technology that is present on the world. In the colonies of the Kallea Sector The Department of Infrastructure is responsible for ensuring the colonists are kept supplied through various contracts handed out to corporations within the Conglomerate.

People of Importance


President Jonar Zwi'klo
Bio: Charismatic and iron willed Jonar is a Twi'lek of his word and a good man wanting nothing more than to see the outer rim prosper. Standing almost 2.4 meters in height Jonar is a towering individual with a Slim figure enhanced by the blue hue of his skin and the the ornate tattoos running down his head tendrils. Unlike most of his Species he does not adopt the Ride the storm approach to things. His stubbornness in many respects is what makes his different many other Twi'lek, It is this stubbornness that has allowed the Conglomerate to prosper in the most recent years. Jonar is regarded very highly in the Conglomerate and is known as The President of the People.

Garran To'Nar
Bio: Garran is a human born and raised on Terminus. Now the founder and CEO of Synth Tech industries he is the owner of one of the largest corporate conglomerates in the southern outer-rim. Extremely rich and educated at the University of Coruscant, Garran Graduated with honours in FTL Economics. Nowadays he is a very protective man, always keeping a vigil on his companies assets and his daughter.

Sonya To'Nar
Bio: Daughter to Synth Tech Industries CEO Garran To'Nar Sonya is Garran's one and only child and successor of Synth Tech should her father pass away unexpectedly. Sonya is just as smart as her farther but has an adventurous side that even a person with her wealth finds hard to satisfy. This mixed with her overbearing father has forced her to find outlets for her extravagant tastes sometimes resulting in her wondering off for months without anyone knowing where she was or had gone.

Lando Calrissian
Bio: Lando Calrissian is a professional gambler, entrepreneur, smuggler with an eye for fine starships, Lando Calrissian has roamed the galaxy in search of treasure and credits for most of his life.

Calrissian was a man of many talents, ranging from card-dealing to business to military tactics. He was fluent in eighteen different languages, including Rodian, a Baragwinian trade dialect, Shyriiwook, and Sullustese. as well as three languages only used by droids and computers. However, he could only read and write in Basic. As expected of a professional gambler, Calrissian was a skilled sabacc player, well versed in both tangible gambling knowledge such as rules and practices and the more intangible qualities of winning large amounts of money while losing enough to keep away suspicion and dealing cards and was often known to bluff. On one occasion, Calrissian won nearly 50,000 credits just from an Imperial moff named Ariss Lyjan, who had overestimated his own gambling prowess despite being accomplished at games of chance, and Calrissian was able to make a considerable profit off of him.

While not traditionally considered as much of a gunman as say, Han Solo, Calrissian was still proficient with personal weapons such as a stingbeam or blaster. During his stint as a Hutt Guardsman, Calrissian also wielded a BD-1 Cutter vibro-ax. Later, he learned how to fly from Solo, and became an excellent pilot in the Falcon in his own right.[29] Many believed that Calrissian had received piloting lessons from an expert, and perhaps had even served in the Imperial Navy. However, he also admitted that while he was a good pilot, he was not as skilled as Solo. Calrissian was also considered a capable con-man, even to the point of being able to hoodwink Jedi Masters such as Luke Skywalker on multiple occasions, a fact which he enjoyed.

Kodan Zorl
Bio: Kodan Zorl is a human from the Terminus System, considerably wealthy due to his status and years of service for Synthech industries as a Freighter captain. After his Brush with the Pokosian Commonwealth in the Helska System whilst surveying the system for a possible outpost and industrial complex in the system that left over 50 people under his command dead. Kodan was guilt riddled despite being hailed a true hero by many in the Conglomerate, aiding in his decision to enlist in the New Conglomerate Navy as a starship officer.

Kodan Zorl is currently undergoing Officers training in the New Terminus Admiralty college.

Soloman Pik
Bio: Solomon Pik was a Twi'lek fighter pilot in the Synth Tech Fleet serving as hired gun with a duty to protect Synth Tech fleets from priates and harrassers. With no real combat experince he was choosen to command a fighter squadron due to his ability to get on with other pilots and proved to be a natural commander and cool under fire. His first real brush with a destermined enemy was in the Helska System. In which he successfully lead attack runs against the attacking vessel as they protected Kodan Zorls fleet as it tried to escape.

Once he had returned to the Terminus System he promptly left the Synth Tech fleet and joined the New Conglomerate Navy as a fighter pilot.

Admiral Lucas Pilinon

Admiral Zordain

A Veteran of several skirmishes during the early days of the Conglomerate he is one of the few Admirals within the Conglomerate Navy with any real combat experience thus making him a very prized officer within the Naval officer corps. He is a human male that takes his job very seriously commanding from his flag ship the CNS Hard Point.

He is Currently commanding the invasion of Anoat Sector.

The New Terminus Conglomerate has a strong economy for the outer rim territories, its loose trade regulations and low taxes make it a corporate haven like so many places in the outer-rim. Its acceptance of the free trade act that the Galactic conclave brought in, has allowed the Terminus system (the capital of the Conglomerate) to flourish due to its trade with Wild space and the Hydian Way and the Corellian Trade Spine. The Terminus System is generally scene by many in the southern Outer-rim to be the gate way to wild space.

Whilst trade is a large part of the Conglomerates economy it is not the sole sector of the Conglomerate economy. It is made up of many sectors all regulated by the Department of industry. Over the past years the Conglomerate has made massive incentives for Industrial corporations to set up shop within the Conglomerate opening up new mines and industrial complexes to increase the industrial capacity of the New Terminus Conglomerate.

Synth Tech Industries
Synth Tech Industries owned and headed by CEO Garran To'Nar, is a massive Conglomeration of Corporations within the New Terminus Conglomerate. It is made up of various corporations from ship yards in the Terminus System to Mining Companies on the far flung Mustafar System. Synth Tech Dominates 20% of the New Terminus Conglomerate trade market as well as holding considerable hold over various other markets within the Conglomerate and other Interstellar markets.

Its most recent move in buying up Klegger Corp has opened up new markets for the conglomeration to expand and provide new avenues of income for its self. With the addition of Klegger Corp Synth Tech Industries has holds in Ship building, mining, R&D, Refining markets.

Klegger Corp
Klegger Corp is a subsidurary of Synth Tech and its most recent aquisition. Klegger corp runs several mining platofrms on the Planet of Mustafar currently the sole exploiter of the system and its planet. The Corporation specialises in extracting precious minerals such as Mirkinite from the lava flows of Mustafar. Most of its propperty consists of shielded and sometimes floating mining platofrms that act as moble refineries as well as hives for the numerous mining drones that are used to run and maintain the mining stations.

The New Terminus Conglomerate armed forces are split up into several serives that work together to keep the borders of the New Terminus Conglomerate safe from external and sometimes internal threats. The Military has been seldom used by the Conglomerate since its inception as a nation, mostly used as holding forces when the Conglomerate moved into Mustafar and Polis Massa to solidify the Conglomerates claims on the worlds when Synth Tech moved in and set up operations in the area.

Fleet/Army Organisation

The New Terminus Conglomerate is commanded by the Supreme Over Commander, who controls the Conglomerate armed forces through the chain of the command. Over all the Over Commander has direct control of the New Terminus Armed forces but still answers to the Department of Defence which handles all outside influences on the Military allowing the Over Commander effectively command the military without having to deal with civillian officials with the exception of the Secretary of Defence and the President. Currently the Supreme Over Command is Supreme Commander Galek Dott

The New Conglomerate Navy
The New Clonglomerate Navy is falls under the command of the Admiral of the Line. Currently the Admiral of the Line is Admiral Nomar Torsk, The Naval organisation branches down from the Admiral of the Line to the admirals who command fleets and then down from there. The Conglomerate navy operates a variety of space craft ranging Venator Star Destroyers to Aurek Tactical Fighters. The fleet is always seeking to keep its ageing vessels inline with current technology. Most of its older models have been upgraded to the point that only its basic shape are whats left of the vessels.

The New Conglomerate Army
The New Conglomerate Army is commanded by the Field Marshall and his General staff. Field Marshall Phillip Gorn currently holds the position of commander and chief of the New Conglomerate Army. Tiny in comparison to the navy the majority of the Conglomerate army is made up of recruits from the Capital world Terminus, being the only major population centre currently claimed by the Systems Conglomerate. Whilst in the past the Army has been seen more as a peace keeping force within its own borders the recent skirmishes with Pokonisian Commonwealth have brought about a reform of the military in almost every sector. Currently the New Conglomerate Army is under going a massive overhaul of its equipment and undertaking a massive recruitment drive.

Indomitable Class Command Cruiser
Based around the Ancient but tried and tested Inexpugnable class command cruiser used by the old republic the conglomerate navy has taken to modernising the iconic class of warship bringing it in line with modern day standards. The class only truly shares a vague similarity in its shape to the Inexpugnable other than that the warship is a beast truly to be feared possessing advanced sensors suites weapons systems far in excess than its predecessor and shields designed to take the brunt of a Imperial II Class Star Destroyer. capable of coordinating naval task groups over an entire sector these ships are very rarely seen on the front line but their presence is almost always felt.

Along with the powerful upgrades the Command Cruisers Tonnage was increased with an expanded cargo hold and hangar bay capable of holding more fighters than an imperial Star Destroyer the Indomitable how ever does not posses the ability to manufacture more fighters like Imperial vessels.

Battleships

Lucrehulk Class Battleship
After the battle of the Helska System against the Pokonisian Commonwealth the Conglomerate navy command realised it needed a vessel to fill a heavier role than its ISDs could provide, the largest ship it had in surplus was the Lucrehulk class freighter. It acquired a deal from the Trade Federation to convert much of its existing Lucrehulk freighters into the Lucrehulk battleship designs as well as a contract to build another 75 battleships in the next 10 years.

Whilst the vessel can fill the role of command ship, its main roles within the Conglomerate navy are ship of the line and planetary staging area for ground assaults. It massive size and newly appropriated military strength make it a true war ship and possibly the strongest warship in the Conglomerate Arsenal. Its massive holds also make it the perfect vessel to perform planetary invasions as well as blockades. The deal with the trade federation also included that each converted and built Hulk include 1,000 of the latest Vulture class droid star fighters how ever no contract to locally produce the droid fighter was acquired.

Possibly the newest ship in the Conglomerate fleet the Victory I Star Destroyer isnt a front line brawler but more of an indirect fire platform with over 80 missile launchers the Victory I is perfect for bombarding fleet positions sewing confusion and panic from afar in hopes to disrupt the enemy formation before the main fleet spear head breaks through. The Victory I is a relatively knew acquisition to the conglomerate navy used to fill the role of Extreme Range combat vessel. The Conglomerate Navy in an attempt to fit the Victory even further into its needs also replaced the original Tie complement with X-Wings. Many have been refitted to be a deep penetration Marauder vessel capable of long periods behind enemy lines.

The Marauder variant of the Victory I was designed to be stealthy its engines fine tuned to be more efficient at dissipating its ion trail as well as heat radiation reduction to allow the vessel to move around space more freely than its un-altered sister ships. Because it was designed to survive during long periods of time behind enemy lines its armour was thickened and reinforced and pained a black and Red Camouflage to denote that it is a Marauder vessel and to hide it from optical sensors.

The Marauder variant relies on surprise and quick strikes to harass and deny enemies supplies and throw the enemy into disarray it is not unlikely to see these vessels operate in packs of 3-5 but usually they operate individually


Venator Class Star Destroyer
The Venator Class Star Destroyer is the Work horse of the Conglomerate navy, being the well rounded vessel that it is the ship can be used to support planetary invasions and be trusted to hold formation against enemy bombardment its tried and tested past is a testament to its design. It age making it cheap to produce the conglomerate navy procured a deal to locally produce Venator class ISDs and openly sell them on the market to corporations and security enterprises. Its own numbers it contentiously refits to ensure that they still stay relevant on a modern battlefield despite their age.

Ardent Class Battle Cruiser
The Ardent class battle cruiser is a completely home grown vessel designed by the Garjin Shipworks company based out of Terminus its design stood out to the conglomerate navy because of a few key factors. Like most Battle cruisers its hull was covered in weapons arrays and turrets it was its ability to also mount 5 triple heavy Turbo Laser batteries along the spine of the vessel. This and its ability to house a large amount of snub fighters for atmospheric fighting have made it a much sort after vessel when it comes to breaking blockades and assisting in the the landing of ground forces. Whilst it excels in these areas it is also a pure bread brawler capable of taking hits from Imperial Star Destroyers and giving them back in kind.
