Bordoria is a secular state, and as such, we have no issue with paganism or any other religion. Most of the Xaranese people, including the Emperor, who make up 20% of the population follow the traditional polytheist religion of their ancestors, which is a form of alien paganism.

Athena and her Pantheon are enough, we need no foreign pagans. Paganism isn't illegal, but hey...when you have a deity for every need, what more could you want?

Postby Sanskacia » Wed Oct 17, 2012 9:48 pm

It's Legal, as long as the general populace doesn't have to hear about it every Sunday (or whenever).
In Sanskacia, if you want to worship a shrine of a golden dog dancing on the back of a skull of an elephant, fine.
As long as:
A) You aren't hurting anybody.
B) You aren't asking for money.
Also, as a subset, evangelizing, while legal, is considered to be a social faux pas, as it is generally known that if a person really wanted to join said religion, they would have done so already and on their own terms.

Qasarastan has outlawed paganism even since before the Islamic Revolution.

In the British Colonization, Lord Neville Alburquin, the English nobleman, officially become the leader of colonialized land of Qasarastan, started to preaching Christianity. This is, however, is understandable remembering that Mr. Alburquin is born from the extremely fanatic Christian family. He then started to limiting mosques, makes people who do not embrace Christianity as lower-class citizens, and executed pagan leaders. This continues for nearly 15 years. After his death, Qasarastan was led by Ronald Bagnold. He's more liberal and tolerant than Alburquin, and started to promote equality between religions, but still banning paganism.

Under the Islamic Emirate of Qasarastan, ruled by corrupt, old monarch, Emir Amanullah Khan, paganism is become allowed, although strictly watched by Government. Emir Amanullah's wife, Marya Dauqsgha is suspected to embrace the Qasarastani Paganism.

After the Emirate overthrowed by Fascists, Hassan Khan, despite declared his nation as "secular, free nation", ban paganism once again, called it as "obstacle of progress". He executed 8000 pagans in the Palace, then ordered his army to burn them and threw their ashes into the gutter.

Now, in the age of Islamism, paganism is banned, the pagans life under fear, many of them move to Tajikistan to survive from many 'pagan hunters'. At least 150 people are executed because they're pagan.
I was just RPing the Islamic Fundamentalist nation! Imagine Democratic Saudi Arabia, or slightly more liberal Taliban, or Sunni Iran with no President. Bingo! Qasarastan.
ICly, it's Authoritarian Democracy, not Psychotic Dictatorship.

Its legal to be a Pagan in the Holy Soviet Empire, but the government pumps out a lot of anti Pagan propoganda and discriminates against them with higher taxes, no chance of getting a government job, less legal rights, so on.

Sanians engage in worship of a myriad of different, physical gods, known as Spirits. These spirits are unmistakably real – they are an actual part of the fauna of the world. Sanians are polytheistic, and will worship numerous spirits for numerous occasions, offering prayers and gifts to the deities whose specific blessings they require. The majority of the spirits are extant but wayward creatures with their own strange, hidden culture, living just out of sight of civilization. But more gregarious Spirits exist. There are as many different attitudes among the spirits as there are among mortals. Each town, city and village possesses a guardian spirit, one who serves as educator for children, as adviser to the adults, and sometimes offering some of its magic to influence the surroundings positively. This spirit is treated as a revered person in the community. Spirits are the pillars supporting life in Sani – the land would die without them.

Most spirits are not guardians. They will not take much of an active stance to answer prayers. The magic of the spirits is their very presence, passively supporting processes like the rock cycle and water cycle, the winds and the growth of life – without them none of these processes would be possible, thanks to the damage done by the Cataclysm and the Lost People. It rains, because rain spirits exist. Sanians believe this mythologically, but it is quite true. Without the Spirits to buttress the world, and prayers to feed them as they do so, the Sanians would not be able to exist as they do.

In short; Yeah, you could call us a bunch of pretty hardcore Pagans. If not out of necessity, then because it's so insanely rooted into our culture.

Macropodine paganism is the dominant religion of the citizens of the Federation of the Kangaroo Republic. It is practiced by a little over two thirds of the population. Macropodine paganism is a type of totemistic religion that derives itself from the long-lived clan traditions that have existed in the land for over two thousand years. Each clan usually believes to hold some kinship with a certain animal spirit, of which clan leaders were usually considered to be the most direct descendants.

The Religion

Postby Trukso » Thu Oct 18, 2012 4:22 am

There are no pagans since the traditional belief of us did think how all had started without a thing. The traditions of us also thought of natural spirits but considering it another energy that lives to help human in return of our help. Paganism is only known at 23400 B.C. when unknown tribes has invaded part what is now known as Krotoki Provinces, the smallest provinces of Trukso

It is perfectly legal, however it is far too small and disorganized here to be recognized as an official religion.

How is paganism treated in your nation?

Perfectly legal and protected by law, as with all religions. We are not paranoid statist fools who wish to see the State become God.

Paganism, like all religions in Bryncina, is treated equally. We believe that everybody is free to make their own choices when it comes to personal belief. However, no belief will be tolerated if it brings about violence against the population and threatens to plunge the nation into chaos.

Paganism is perfectly legal, just like all of the other supernatural mumbo-jumbo going around. Trying to suppress any kind of theology is just a waste of time, as far as we're concerned.
