The most powerful weapons ever developed by the UNE were known as Galaxy Bombs. The most powerful ones were capable of destroying an entire galactic cluster. These weapons were never used, and most of them were dismantled after an enemy of the UNE tried to steal one. A small arsenal of the remaining weapons exists in the capital city in case of an emergency, they are kept in a shielded vault designed to contain them if they were somehow activated.

Costeña is a Spanish word meaning "coastal" and originally referred to only one island of the Costeña Islands (Islas Costeñas).

The name is often rendered into English as "Costenia".

Songs with an ancient language:
One Walosian band named “Glittertind” have begun producing songs in an ancient language. The language in question is the Norse (which sounds like Norwegian), which was previously spoken by the former kingdoms on the Island of Saint Halvards prior to the Walosian conquest. The language of Norse is today categorized as a dead language, but a sizable portion of Walosian historians and musicians have found inspiration in the language.

Speed Bumps:
Walosia do not have any speed bumps but rather an intricate system of cameras and speed controls. Every change in the speed limit is alerted roughly 100 meters in advance so the driver has time to slow down. If the driver doesn’t slow down or goes 5 kilometers over, the photo box integrated in the speed limit sign will identify the driver and bill him/her for the violation. In addition, all Walosian speed limit signs have an integrated system of photo boxes that snaps pictures of people who violates the speed limit and alerts the police. The individuals who are caught by such boxes are billed with a fine calculated by their monthly income and how fast they were going.

Illegal advertisement:
It is illegal for companies who manufacture prescription drugs to advertise their products in the media. It is also illegal to directly advertise to doctors and hospitals and in order to advertise their products; companies have to advertise directly to pharmacies.

Abortion:
Aborting a child because of its gender is legal.

Beauty Scandal:
In 2008 there were a scandal involving the water park “Aquatopia”. The Walosian Times uncovered that the staff responsible to hire new staff placed the appearance of the candidates as equally important as their skills and necessary abilities. The Spokesperson from “Aquatopia” stated that hiring attractive personnel would result in better business.

Self-Sufficient:
Walosia is considered close to self-sufficient regarding food production and crop yield. Walosia produces enough food to meet the demands from the public and exports the remaining agricultural products to the international community. Walosia still imports a lot off food as some products like Bananas, Pumpkins and vanilla as the Walosian climate limits the production of such agricultural products. Walosia imports many different kinds of meat products, as Walosian farms are unable to produce enough meat to be self-sufficient.

Commercials:
It is legal to advertise for both Marijuana products, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, but there are a few restrictions. Advertisement of tobacco and marijuana cannot be aired on television between 06.00 and 21.00. Advertisement of tobacco and marijuana cannot be aired in the commercial breaks if the previous program or the next program is intended for children or teenagers. Tobacco and marijuana cannot be advertised for in newspapers, magazines and on billboards, only on television. These restrictions do not apply for alcoholic beverages as those products can be advertised around the clock and on all media forms, including billboards.

Atlas International:
The largest airport in Walosia is located 72 kilometers outside of Waldovia. This airport contains 214 airplane-docking stations, is equipped with 11 runways and 4 air-traffic control towers and handled 13.912.832 passengers in April 2018 including both civilians, foreign, domestic, military and diplomatic. The airport is so massive that a small internal train system is required in order to transport passengers from one side to the other. The entire airport, including runways and docking stations covers an area of 35 square kilometers and operates 24/7. It is estimated that an airplane arrives to Atlas International every 6th second.

Age limit:
It is completely legal for minors to drink alcohol, smoke marijuana and tobacco, what is illegal is their right to purchase it.

Marijuana:
¼ Walosian adults have smoked Marijuana at least once in their life and 1/7 smokes it on a regular basis. Every day, around 7 000 teenagers take their first joint and another 2 000 starts smoking on a regular basis.

Shot by the police:
On a national level, the Walosian law enforcement kills 210 individuals annually, most during arrest.

Children:
60% of children born in Walosia are born outside of marriage and the average age for first-time pregnancy is 26 years old.

Law suit and rape victims:
A rape victim can legally sue their rapists for child support should they become pregnant and go through with the birth. It does not work the other way around.

Walosia and Gilzem:
Walosia and GIlzem have not signed a peace treaty following the Gilzic invasion of Kingston in 2015, only a ceasefire has been issued. Since the war, Gilzic fighter jets have harassed Walosian airspace multiple times and forced the Walosian Air Force to intercept.

Calendar:
Walosia uses the Gregorian calendar, but they have two means of measuring years. The official Walosian date is May 5th 2218, measured by the beginning of the Walosian Empire in 200BC. The system of measuring years by the birth of Jesus Christ is only used in Walosia when conducting international trade and international treaties.

HISTORY: Toilets and hygiene:
Ancient Walosians used a stick with an attached sponge as toilet paper. Every Walosian had such a device and they brought it with them when they needed to do their business at one of the towns many bathhouses. The stick was your private property and it could not be shared with anyone.

HISTORY: Emperor Hadrian and his harem:
Emperor Hadrian I (100BC – 21BC) was married a total of 56 times. Of those marriages, 36 were with women, 18 were with men and 2 of the marriages were with animals, specifically a female fox and a female horse. Psychologists and historians who have studies his life have considered Hadrian as mentally ill.

HISTORY: Shopping mall:
The first shopping mall in Walosian history was the “Luxuriam” and consisted of 4-stories and 150 different shops and offices including restaurants and slave traders. It opened in September of 110BC.

Given that the United Kingdom went to the polls yesterday, some electoral facts from Neragua:

Elections always take place on the final Saturday in October.
Polls for federal elections are open between 0700 and 2100.
Provincial and local election polls can be open longer or shorter than the federal polling times and often are: the Province of Victoria open local polls 0700 to 2100 and the Province of Aysén opens local polls 0800 to 2000. Despite this, federal electoral laws require that federal elections (for president/congress) must take place between 0700 to 2100.
Voting is not compulsory in Neragua. Despite this, turnout is usually very high: over 80% in all but two of the last ten federal elections.
All single winner elections are conducted by the instant-runoff voting (IRV) system, whereby all candidates are ranked by voters in order of preference by voters. If a candidate doesn't receive 50% of the vote, the candidate with the lowest first preference votes is eliminated and those ballots redistributed in accordance with their second preference votes. This process goes on until one candidate receives and absolute majority of votes (50% + 1 vote). This applies to presidential and Chamber of Deputies elections.
The Senate is elected by open-list party list proportional representation, whereby a voter can vote for either: 1) a party and its predetermined list of candidates, or; 2) an individual within that party, pushing that candidate up the party's list.
Provincial and local elections can be decided by different voting methods.

The Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) (Chinese: 电子道路收费系统) system is an electronic toll collection scheme adopted in Minroz to manage traffic by way of road pricing, and as a usage-based taxation mechanism to complement the purchase-based Certificate of Entitlement system. The ERP was implemented by the Land Transport Authority in September 1998 to replace the Imperial Area Licensing Scheme after successfully stress-testing the system with vehicles running at high speed. Minroz was the first country in Iclamia to implement an electronic road toll collection system for purposes of congestion pricing. The system uses open road tolling; vehicles do not stop or slow down to pay tolls.
