The 'official' colony of the People's Republic is the New Samozniy Republic, a partially-devolved state run primarily by the military (both the People's Fighting Navy and People's Merchant Navy), whose chief export are warships and transport ships developed for the Samozniy Fighting and Merchant navies.
The NSR is also home to a number of Proving Grounds for testing new and existing land, air and sea assets, as well as a number of infantry training centres; home to the infamous Summoner's Rift and Devil's Run 'wargrounds', in which mass wargames are used to train fourth-year Youth Corps units en masse, as well as general military war games.

The NSR of course has its own civilian population, but party membership and adherence to the Official Secrets Act is of course mandatory due to the sensitive nature of NSR's day-to-day activities.
Compared to the frigid and arctic nature of the People's Republic, the NSR is entirely tropical in nature, due in part to the massive distance between the two nations, right across the Sapphire Sea, east to west.

The Four Regions remain largely unspoilt wilderness; we did carry out some mining operations but they've now wound down. There's been some promotion of the area as a tourist destination, though it remains a location firmly off the beaten track. Others on the planet have much more extensively exploited their territories.

The Imperium has two semi-autonomous territories other than the Kel-Elysian mainland, Korea and Japan.

After the Korean War in which Imperial and UN forces drove the Communists out of the peninsula, the Imperium offered the government of the newly unified Korea a chance to become an Imperial territory. In 1959, the Korean government accepted, much to the outrage of the Korean people, who had been liberated from Tokyo's iron-fisted rule merely a decade and a half before. However, massive improvements to the Korean infrastructure and the fair treatment of the Korean people eventually erased most reservations the Koreans held. The fact that many ethnic Koreans resided in the Kel-Elysian mainland, the fact that ethnic Kel-Elysians universally are of at least 50% Korean blood and the sacrifice made by 900,000 Imperial soldiers to drive out the communists helped.

The annexation of Japan was an entirely different story. Japan was still recovering from the devastation it had suffered in World War Two. It entirely relied on the United States military presence for defense, its economy was still in the toilet, and its citizenry still bitter over Japan's recent defeat. In 1956, Imperial government officials began to grab power from the Japanese government. The United States was forced out of Japan under the threat of military invasion in 1958, and finally, in 1960, the Imperium forced the Japan Annexation Treaty on the Japanese. However, unlike Japan's similar annexation of Korea half a century before, the Imperium reluctantly treated the Japanese like any other group of Imperials. This slowly won the favor of the Japanese people. However, tensions between everyday citizens did not simply go away overnight; many times, Japanese Imperial citizens were harassed daily by Kel-Elysians and Koreans, and in extreme cases troops of Japanese ethnicity heroically died suspiciously far from the front lines. Today, tensions do still remain, but mostly manifest themselves in the form of internet flame wars.

After Rahmma's Eviction War, many Aleckandoreans in the southernmost Provinces that had ventured into the Southern Frontier had manifested that Yervhenn, at some point, will have to be all of Aleckandor's, and surely enough, the State formally endorsed the creation of the Homeland Confederal Viceroyalties, of which has currently established over 1,300 different Aleckandorean settlements worldwide, the majority of them in Southron Yervhennian territories. In 2009-2011, Aleckandorean prospectors landed in the newly-discovered Tarakan Island Chain; as the population increased their, the State decided to nationalize that megaregion into the Confederate Aleckandorean Lucruminate Of East Taraka (CALET). The most recent and most promising holding that the Confederacy now has, however, is on the previously undiscovered/uncivilized Oileanic Continent.
